As he is picking up the undamaged javelins, Pisgah sees Canti's arrows and his javelins dissolving in the creatures acidic flesh. He pulls two arrows from his quiver and hands them out to Canti, "Here you go. You seem to be a better shot than I am so you should keep your quiver full. I am going to grab the javelins that we found in the armory on our way out of this area. I saw a grinding wheel in the room too. I wonder if Rico could use that to repair the acid damage to Jaya's sword?
I think that we have exhausted the hallways and doors in this part of the Underdark. I don't understand why the bandits would have set up behind that secret door. I think that would greatly reduce the number of victims that crossed their path. We could go back and ask Harissa if there is another passageway out of this area or if we have to go back through the secret door to get into the main dungeon."
Using the provided alchemical supplies, he attempts to stow a particularly sizeable sample of oozeflesh [Required roll?]. Rather than thinking of a weapon or spell, Nikkitch sees the acidic content as something that could be used in pondering and preparing certain rare material components.
[OoC: IRL chemists often use bases and acids in the process of chemically powdering noble metals, like gold or silver. I'm interested how a magical acid might powder, say, a diamond...]
For her provisional assistance, the kenku gives Canti choice pick of the gem shards.
Since the ooze is readily accessible, and Nikkitchs hands are deft [sleight of hand proficiency], gathering the oozeflesh isn't much of a challenge. The kenku is able to gather up to 1 lb of the flesh into Cantis container, which fills it. It is certainly still very acidic and you can see how the remaining lumps of the monster have started dissolving any rubble that came into contact with them. Oddly though, the stone floor remains unaffected.
Preparing powdered spell components with the help of this acid holds promise. Using 1 hour, a gemstone or metal and a strong acid such as the oozeflesh, a creature can attempt an Intelligence (Alchemists Tools) check DC 14 to render that material into powder. On a success, the rendered powder is worth 20% more than the source material for the purposes of serving as a spell component. Multiple metals or gemstones of the same type can be combined into power in this manner. If the check fails, the rendered powder is worth an equal amount to the source material.
0.1 lbs of acid are needed to render 100 gp worth of material.
"All right, while you two scrape ooze into a bottle, I am headed to the armory room to grab those javelins. Jaya, I think there was a warhammer in the room too if you need to replace your longsword. Rico, do you need any of the metal from the armory to repair Steel?" Pisgah heads to the armory and collects the four javelins that were there.

After Pisgah gives two of his arros to Canti, Rico pulls out the 2 spare arrows she was carrying in her sack and gives them to Pisgah. "I agree, we should keep quivers full."
"As for Jaya's sword, I also have my smiths tools with me, so I should be able to do something about that." OOC: What rolls and/or manterials are needed to repair the damage to Jaya's sword?
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Rico will use Prestidigitation to clean the remaining acid off of steel, one section at a time. Once he is clean, Rico will tell Steel to repair himself.
Steel does so, healing 14 HP
OOC: Strangely, Rico can mend herself with the Mending spell (using a hit die as if a short rest) due to a racial feature, but can't heal Steel that way (he doesn't have that feature). All she can do is rebuild him during a long rest. But Steel can repair any construct, either himself or Rico.
For those skilled in smith's tools, repairing a mundane metal item that has been damaged is usually straightforward (no check needed) and only needs time (1 hour) and 1 metal scraps. There are 10 pieces of metal scraps that can be gathered from the armory.

Rico comments, "There is one passageway left that we have not yet explored on this side of the secret door. The passageway that led directly to the room where the vampire bandits were lurking continued west past that point. We will need to go through the room where we left the bandits, but they will probably let us through again."
Canti is surprised and pleased to accept the arrows from Pisgah. She gives him a grateful smile and stows the projectiles.
Further, when Nikk offers her her choice of the gem shards, she practically beams. "Well, aren't you kind?" she says. Looking over the offerings, she comments, "I have no idea which of these would catch Bwibble's eye ... but I like this one." She reaches with two fingers extended and plucks up one of the gem shards. One of the smooth sides has tiny ripples, which catch the light in an interesting way. "Thank you, Nikk." She grins at the kenku and then puts the gem shard in a pocket.
I don’t think I want to replace my sword, but adding a hammer and bludgeoning to my repertoire sounds like a good idea, I’ll grab the hammer.
I'm not proficient in smith tools, but if anyone is and wants to repair my sword when we long rest, sounds good!
Rico is proficient with smith tools, along with many other tools (most of which she is carrying). So next time we break for an hour, she can fix your sword.
Having let the other one pick her favorite, the kenku gathers the rest of the strange shards. They might be worth something, or they might be worth nothing. When he inevitably trades them, he'll be sure to say they're worth 10x as much. That'll get him plenty of money for what he's got planned.
Having slung his shield across his back again, Pisgah meets the rest of the group with a stack of scrap metal under his left arm and a warhammer and pike resting on his right shoulder.
When he sees Rico and Jaya he says "Hey, can you guys make use of this stuff?"
Pisgah hands off the warhammer to Jaya and stows the metal plates in his backpack telling Rico "I can carry these for you until you have a chance to rest and fully repair Steel then we transfer them to your/his backpack." Once he gets everything re-situated he hefts the pike and makes a few practice lunges at one of the stone statues. "I don't normally use a pike or spear but I think I will carry this for a bit. Might be fun to play with. I can always drop it and pull Big Bart off my back if needed."

Croaks the kenku: "Harria."

[100 gp worth of base material]
Pisgah finds the room undisturbed and all weapons still present.

[Sleight of Hand to collect remaining shards: 19]
Could Rico use these stone chips? Jaya will grab 5 lbs worth either way.
[Okaaay, then I guess Nikkitch gets the other 15.]
Having slung his shield across his back again, Pisgah meets the rest of the group with a stack of scrap metal under his left arm and a warhammer and pike resting on his right shoulder.

No need for a check for picking up these chunks, they handle like obsidian stone.
"Ill take the Warhammer but will pass on the pike!" thanks!
