The figures before you are standing over are most clearly cultist of the Cult of the Dragon. The black robes and masks are important symbols of their low ranking members. They appear to have simple garb covering leather armor and all appear to be human beneath the masks.
Kyros:
You find nothing of note on the cultists except their scimitars, 25gp, and one of them with a mask seared to his face.
Archibald:
After searching over the cultists quickly you find that Kyros has found their weapons, you find an additional 25gp, and on one of them a small, handwritten note that says: "Take all that you can. The Queen must have it. This is the first stop of many. --FM"
"Indeed you have, Talien! And Druidic Healing arts to boot! And a 'Cult of the Dragon?'" Kyros arched a scaled bronze eyelid at his new companions expectantly. Kyros looked back at to the sky as the Human set about examining the dead. "I too came to Greenest, hunting whispers on the winds, disturbed by the wings of Dragons.. This however, is not the opportune moment to discuss such things. Still, I am overjoyed to find such capable folk at my side for this ordeal." He nodded toward the Half-Orc, before looking again up the street, towards the screaming villagers and humanoid marauders he had spied from the gates. "We mustn't tarry long; Others still require our Aid. Archibald, what have you found? I've only found a few coins and Scimitars over here.." He announced pocketing the gold.
"Thank you for the kind words, Druid. I am still learning what power music can have, beyond the obvious of course. I am likewise impressed at your stick-handling. Haven't seen a head removal like that since I left home." Lias offered a handshake to Talien, and nodded to Kyrios. "Dragonborn, I was inclined to consider you too hasty, but your charge was so effective I can't find fault."
She stepped forward past the fallen foes and peered into the growing darkness of the town around them, testing her Darkvision. "What kind of chaos are we walking into?"
Through the dim flickers you see more of the cultists going from home to home ransacking what they can. The smaller creatures running about with them you recognize from your travels as kobolds. They seem to be keeping pace with the cultists and are either working with or for them trailing their heels and carrying bags of loot.

Without warning, five humans dash out from between two buildings to your left! A limping man and three young children race across the street into more shadows, and a woman carrying a round shield and a broken spear turns and faces back in the direction from which they came. Eight small, menacing creatures gnash their teeth and stream out of the alley on the family's heels, fanning around the woman. She looks determined to delay the creatures for as long as possible...
They are about 25' down the road, the eight monsters fanned out in a semicircle facing the warrior. She has her left side to you (her spear side), and neither the monsters nor the woman have paid you any heed whatsoever. As his eyes dart between the woman, and the children with their father, Talien hears a familiar, stern, Elven voice in the back of his head, "You can't save them all, Talien!"
Talien shakes his head clear as he goes to help the woman, shouting, "Go to your kin, they need you! We can handle these creatures!"
"Maybe I can't save everyone, but it won't be for lack of trying..." Talien thought to himself as he prepared to fight once again.

So our order is as follows: Archibald (in stealth, no one has noticed you), Talien, Beasties, Kyros, Lias, Warrior.
The crowd is about 25' down the road, most of you could make it to the end enemy in one movement and make your action. We will call beastie 1 the one at the top (furthest away from you all) and 8 the closest in their small arc. The other cultists are about 60' away breaking down the door to the nearest house. They also have not paid anything down the road any heed. It's possible they might assume you are still not a threat or maybe even mercenaries since no one has noticed the dead bodies yet in all the pandemonium. The man and children are approximately 15' away from the woman (behind her, so to your right) trying to be inconspicuous in an alley between two large homes. Not much time has passed (despite me not posting for two days) so the short moments of talking didn't cost anything in terms of delay or lives lost, but certainly was not a 'short rest' for the party either.

Archibald wasn't sure what manner of intelligence the creatures before him possessed, but he knew an tactical opportunity when he saw one. He crept around behind the creatures, hoping to either start picking them off one by one, or split their attention and prevent them from being able to gang up on anyone. Once he was behind the furthest, he unassuredly made eye contact with his party, as if asking permission to commence. Kyros glared back, as if to say "What in the hell are you waiting for?" Archibald hurriedly leapt into action, striking out at the creature before him. (Beastie 1)

Watching the end of a blade appear seemingly out of nowhere on the front of one of the creatures, Talien decided quickly, that one was being taken care of. Talien strode up to shield-side of the woman and prepared to dispatch another of the creatures. He swung the magical staff hard at the creature's ugly face.
Attack: 12 Damage: 6
(OOC: Also this is at Beastie #2 - just the one right next to the one Archibald attacked)
The monsters never saw Archiblad coming and the first attacker was felled easily as his sword suddenly slid into its back. The creature died without a sound and slid unnoticed onto the ground beside the second one, a shadow gliding back away after the kill.
Talien struck out at the second marauding beast and felled that one with a clean blow! The quarter staff connected with its snout and broke its neck as it twisted from the impact.
The third small creature, seeing its compatriots dead, lashed out at Talien with its dagger! It missed entirely, however, in its attempt to avenge the other two. It screeches something in its native tongue after stabbing wildly.
For Kyros
You hear in draconic: “Filthy tree-hugger! Those were my cousins!”
The fourth and fifth creatures attack the warrior who already appears to have taken some slashes now that you’re closer! One of the daggers clunks uselessly into her shield, while the other deals 3 damage as it slashes her spear arm!
The last three (6, 7, and 8) swing around to make a tighter circle around the warrior, their backs now to those not in the battle yet. However, since they now recognize you as threats, they have taken out slings and begin launching stones at you! Kyros takes 4 damage as a stone is whipped back at him, one sings silently off into the night, and the other connects with Lias for 3 damage!

Kyros' eyes narrow at the gibbering screech, dropping his guard for a moment, allowing for one of the missiles to skip off the side of his face and gouge a small furrow across his cheek. Draconic was not an overly common language among non-Dragons and non-Dragonborn. There were few other species he knew of who spoke the language naturally though, and he wracked his memories as the creatures features fell closely into focus.
Lias readied herself for battle, and then was stunned by a rock shot to the stomach. Glaring at the small menaces, she let out an angry tenor note and attacked the closest beastie (6 or 7) with her rapier.
Watching three of the beasts fall to your attacks, the last one by a mighty cleave from a Dragonborn greatsword, the warrior attacks the seventh creature, hoping to aid Lias in finishing it off.
Lashing out with her spear, she stabs the small creature, ending its life after taking damage from Lias’ rapier. She then glances backward and motions the man and children back further into the alley, readying herself for the final few creature attacks.
Kyros:
You recall that kobolds speak draconic as they are miniature dragon descendants. They hiss at you for your insult.

Archibald manages to outright kill yet another of the creatures, but by this time the chaos of battle has made them more aware of their surroundings. The small beast crumples at Archibald's feet and the others turn in astonishment at the appearance of the assassin!
With only 4 creatures left they begin to close in on the party and warrior, chattering to each other and nodding oddly. Talien misses his opportunity to kill another, and it slides under him to attack the warrior. (Beast 4 is closest to Talien, in what would have been the center of the group nearest the woman.) They see you as more of a threat now and have begun to focus on your group rather than the woman, man, and children. They close in to you, daggers drawn...
Beast 1: attacks Lias for 3 damage! Beast 2: attacks Archibald and swings wide, surprised by his appearance in the battle! Beast 3: attacks Talien for another 3 damage, jabbing its dagger into his side! Beast 4: attacks Kyros and the dagger clinks off his hide, doing no damage!
