You hear someone falling down the stairs, and there's a loud "OOF!". Then, a few moments later, something gets knocked over and makes a very loud noise, as if someone broke something glass and expensive. Crispy then stumbles into the office, trying to look as innocent as she can, and does her best to hide the fact that she overslept and has a hangover.
"Hello." She says, clearing her throat. "Hi. Crispy here." She says to everyone in the room for no reason."Oh!" She looks at Etla. "A new face. Hello." She nods at the Goliath. "Hey, Borg. What the hell was in those drinks. My head is pounding." She looks around the office. "Did we pick a mission?"
Chetin nods, "Yes, we are going to a place called Twik Grove to clear it of...invaders it says. The druid, Thicket, should know more once we arrive there." He stows a ration into his bag along with the waterskin. "Though it will take half a day to arrive there."
"Peace," Akaas says, giving Chetin and Crispy and calming smile. The old halfling steps forward and takes Crispy's hand. "Let's get a little something in that stomach and see how you feel."
The group heads over to the mess hall. They appear to be late to the party, as it looks like there are plenty of discarded plates, bowls, and cutlery around the area. The chefs appear to have some food left from the morning rush for the team to take from as part of the morning freebies at least.
Settling down with some food, the group's bellies are filled with hot and delicious breakfast before they decide to make a move on headed towards Twik's Grove.
(There is a trading ward should people wish to do any purchased before heading off on their first misison. If not, we'll just move onto going to the South Gate. Since you are near the centre of town, it'd be an hour and a half walk to the gate, or pay 1gp each to a coachman and get there in about 15 minutes)
Crispy took Akaas hand a bit warily. But she took it. After all, they were going towards food. As they sat down, Crispy felt an overwhelming urge to vomit, and did her best to suppress it. She failed. She quickly turned and puked into a garbage receptacle with a loud unladylike "BLAAUUUHHH". Wiping her mouth, said, "Ugh..that's kinda better."
Sitting down, she put her head down on the table and let someone order something for her, anything. She didn't care. When the food came, she dove into it like a starving animal, and by the time it was gone, she was feeling a bit better. She took out a small box out of her pack, opening it, and took out a small white pill. She swallowed it, and within a minute, the hangover was gone, and she was back in focus. Gods bless the Academy.
With a loud burp at the end, she said "Well that was deliCIIOOOUUSSS." She wipes her mouth. "I'm ready to head out."
Akaas starts to protest as Crispy begins to inhale her food, but decides to hold his tongue, and then is quite impressed. As she finishes, takes the pill, and then beams around at everyone quite normally, he grins at her broadly. "What a constitution you have, my dear," he laughs. "Shall we ... er ... leave?"
At the question of walking or riding, Akaas looks around at the sky and takes a deep breath. "I think a long walk would do these old bones some good, but if everyone is inclined to take a coach, I will not object."
Etla greets the whirlwind of a woman with a wide grin and introduces herself before following the group. She had already eaten before she got there, but there were a handful of her favorite dried fruits tangled somewhere in her wild hair that'd come in handy as a mid-travel snack. "That's a nifty little pill you got there." The goliath says, amused.
When the question of transportation is brought up she shrugs. "I agree with Whitebeard here, I'm fine with whatever. If you just give me a second, there's something I need to pick up." She made a quick detour to the trading ward, walking straight up to the first person she spotted that looked capable of selling her what she needed. "Do you sell diamonds?"
The trading ward is not too far off your path if you walk, so the group can go along if you'd like.
The Trade Ward
Located along the southern area of Greenhollow, The Trade Ward is a bustling multi-storied market area. There are stalls lining each area with sturdy roofs that are used by some as shortcut pathways to get around. Some of the more permanent traders have actual buildings to house their trade, one of which is Jasper's Jewels
Within Jasper's Jewels, a tiefling with orange skin and large curled horns seems to be the vendor here. He has several trays of gemstones lining the sides as Etla heads into the shop. She can tell with just a glance that the glass must be mystically reinforced (no need to detect magic, it's fairly commonplace in a shop with this many valuables). The tiefling gives a big grin to Etla as she stoops through the doorway. "Ah, new customer. Welcome to my humble shop. What wares can I entice you with today?"
Etla then speaks to him. "Ah, diamonds. Quite a popular commodity in these parts, especially for spellcasters. Tell me, what sort of diamond are you after?"
(OOC: If you want to just confirm the price value you are after. I am assuming something around 50 gold is the target value)
Truth to be told she badly wanted to leave with everything this store had to offer, everything was too precious to not trigger her desire to smother her wife in beautiful gifts. But with her head straight Etla flashed the tiefling a bright smile. "Anything worth 50 gold and you've made my day." The fact that she actually needed a diamond to cast a spell made it feel even fancier. Oh boy, did she love magic.
“Thanks.” She says to Akaas. ”Military training and..a little parting gift from the Academy.” She pats her backpack, implying the pills. “Helps keep me focused and refreshed. Cures many common..inconveniences..you could say.”
"Well I can definitely supply for such a requirement." The tiefling says with a smile. He pulls a tray out from beneath his desk and takes a small diamond, about a half inch in diameter, out. "These sort of diamonds are good for basic spellcasting. Wizards wanting to be able to cast spells such as Chromatic Orb would be after this sort of gem. It's not quite got the size or sheen for a revivify, meaning that clerics aren't as interested in such a gem. All yours for a fine fifty gold. In fact, if you purchase now, I will throw in a leather wristband which can hold such a gem so it is always ready to be used for a casting."
Akaas smiles at the woman again. "Ah ... yes. Thank you." He turns from the woman, giving his bare halfling feet a glance as he rejoins the others.

"Ah." Crispy nods, blurry. "Sounds good. Clear it of druids, talk to the invaders." She yawns.
"Morning Chick, yeah we have to go and clear a grove out, we need to collect our stuff for the mission as we need special shoes apparently."

"Hi Borg." Crispy rubs her eyes. "Special shoes? Ok." Crispy walks to her room, gets her things, and waits in the common area.
"Should we eat first?" Akaas asks.
”Sure, and if you can make the room to stop spinning, that would be great.”
"That is due punishment for indulging yourself last night, I'm afraid we cannot help with that."
Crispy shoots you a withering dirty look. “Thanks, Chetin..”
"Peace," Akaas says, giving Chetin and Crispy and calming smile. The old halfling steps forward and takes Crispy's hand. "Let's get a little something in that stomach and see how you feel."
Borg yawns. "Yeah lets get some grease in our stomaches. It'll make us all feel better, and be a great start before we head out."
