If and only if Lars can help me with my religion roll (he is a celestial spirit so maybe? ). If he can help me my second religion roll was Nat 20+1 int bonus and +1 guidance. If he can’t help then my 6 is not going to make the cut
I don’t have a preference on which potions to take other than might be interesting to have the fire breath potion
assume melee types could benefit from the strength potions
I can cast cure wounds twice for each casting would be 2d8+2 for two ppl or 4d8+4 for one
I’ll also use my short rest for my arcana recovery and get back my first level spell I had cast. And my warlock spells slots also recover
ic: before any of the short rests. So what did our big friend share with us to our questioning? What path did they take to get here? Who or what is his master? Does he know where he would go if he failed? What other creatures will likely attack us? Etc
Ic. “Are you sure Lars? Ok. Guys. Not so good news. Lars has a theory that this note somehow relates to the lovely chap otherwise known as the Archdevil of the 2nd level of Hell.
so we have that going for us. Wonder if he got the gifts we sent? “
Ral comments, "Bah..wait did we send a gift?" Ral looking confused. "You are fooling aren't ye. I'm slow sometimes. Well that Dragon person said there was another series of encounters. Sounds like it's going to get rough here soon. You folks about rested up and ready?"

Darbakh’s eyes light up. “Well, now, let’s not rush, fellas…we ought to plan how we divest ourselves from this prime business opportunity here?” Darbakh then points at the bound ogre, but he doesn’t explain further, as if he assumes the others will understand how he thinks. “We didn’t damage the goods that much. We can still earn a little extra coin!”

“The boss (war chief) didn’t tell us very much. He said to go hide and wait for folks to come along and kill’em. That’s all I know. I go now.”

OOC- that’s all he knows.
Suddenly, Darbakh glares at the ogre. "Sit down, butt-for-brains; this is a conversation for the adults." The duergar then turns to the rest of the party. "Listen, I'm seeing a prime opportunity for contract labor here. Think about it! We could hire this guy out to farm workers back at the town. Petnan, you must know what I'm talking about, right? This kind of thing is common back in the Underdark."
Ic I think the ways of the surface dwellers very different than our dark world. At best we’d get a few gold if the practice was even allowed.
Ral says, "Interesting subterranean bartering for the beastie stuff. We picked the coins off them so you're thinking ransom it somehow. I'm not guarding this thing for the rest of the day. Let's get cracking. Ral unties it and kicks it in the ass. Get out of here. We see you again you die first."
OOC - Once everyone is ready I'll get the next encounter rolling.

I'll do xp at the end of this series.

“Why did the bodies just disappear?” Darbakh wonders out loud.

I guess the evil bad guy is making undead out of them to pay us a visit in future ???
Ral used his inspiration and rolled a 5 or 3 -1 for a 4. LOL
Ral says, "What is history or religion?"
Just waiting on Smudge's roll unless I missed it.

Smudge gets a brain cramp and shakes his head at the writing
Religion 1+4=5
So if my math is correct, each get 5pp, 30gp, and one 10gp gem.
smudge would be happy with 1x cure disease and 1x neutralize poison and 1x mind reading potions.
ooc: can we question ogre A who is still with us?
The imp whispers to Petnan.

I think all but Darbakh is at Full hp. Darbakh down 3..So either SR dice or use a healing potion. I wouldn't waste a spell slot that doesn't recover.

It’s a warlock slot so will recover on short rest.
