Croak removes his hood revealing an orcish figure with softened facial features. His voice is deep but speaks very clear Common "No offense, but that is a good hustle you got there, unless you really are one of this city's famed wizards, in which case, I fear you may have charged too little." Croak takes an unflinching chug of the fetid ale.
Dar stands up, making a notable metallic click beneath the table in the process. His dark hair is short but well kept; his face, though old in years, still holds a rugged handsome look. With stern eyes he looks at Croak. "Fine, I'm the wizard, thanks for the drink. Boabby is right you know; we wouldn't have talked to you if you brought us that swill." He says motioning towards the ale in the clean mugs.
"We already drink that pish, why would we want more?" He sits back down, loudly, making another loud metallic clank. "So... Talk."
"how did this town fall" the goblin out burst her soft now concerned voice "from what I heard it was an amazing place of magic, but it doesn't seem that way now"

"Help? What kind of help you looking to do? You going to bring back a thousand people? Bring the thrive back into Northbank? Or do you want to help with the dishes?" Dar replies with fierce but heavy sarcasm.
Urselles look a deep sigh "I don't know, but theremust be something, anything, and I intend to find it" the goblin jumped out of chair and made her way to the door, she wasn't sure how she would do it, but she knew deep down that this was a great chance to help every one, her own people and these people. He smiles; "Because this is Northbank, this is my home." He takes a moment to slap his hands on Jack and Victor's backs and then makes a lude gesture to Boabby. "And these are my friends."
He takes a drink of some of the whisky. "The only help I need is a new apprentice."
Croak was eager to ignore the rest of the encounter but Dar's words toward the goblin nerved him.
"Such harsh words to a being you consider inferior to yourself. She's offering her help in a city that clearly needs it. Unless this is your version of acceptable, you'd be lucky to have any help at all. By the look of things, aren't many trying to improve this squalor, yourself included."
Croak takes pleasure in bullying the ones bullying. His own mistreatment felt in every class or racial prejudice. He attempts to sound more assertive than hostile, as his appearance is quick to alarm.
In between tears and rage, Croak yells "SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!", oblivious to the growing crowd.
"Fine you want to save Northbank from doom, to stop it from being the pishpot that it is, that is on you. You don't need me for that." He stands up, knocking back his chair; his crafted metallic leg visible for all to see.
He raises his hands, beginning to move them around each other; reddish magical light and small trails of flame begin appearing between his hands. "But don't ever put your words in my mouth."
Jack and Victor move away as quickly as their old bodies can move them; while Boabby leaps over the bar in one solid move. You can now see real strength beneath those thick arms, as Boabby must weight 300 pounds.
The people around the strangers scatter, but don't leave the tavern. (Roll for Initiative.)
After seeing the back and forth November decides to chime in again, "If you don't mind, what led to it disbanding? What drove a thousand people away? People don't just move from one day to the next. "
Shalech shakes his head in defeat. "I'm not going to find anything I need here. I'm going to go look into these other rumors for something worthwhile to do in this town, otherwise I came here for nothing." Speaking up louder, Shalech pulled out a silver and held it up, "A silver for anyone to tell me something useful about the haunted house."
Theodore rises his eyebrows at the sudden aggression from other around him. He takes a deep breath while drawing his wand, "There's no need for blood shed, this fight is pointless! I at least mean you no ill will."
Shalech, and anyone else that rolls a 15 or higher, notices at first that the spell is the Evocation Cantrip Fire bolt. What you immediately notice afterwards is the shear power being channelled into the spell.
You can already feel the heat radiating off of it. It's form is larger than you have ever seen from this spell and its safe to assume the damage is likely going to be greater as well. It is an amazing show of power, especially with something as common as a cantrip.
You can hear him beginning to mutter the incantation, with anger in his voice. The area around Croak has noticeably cleared out in response.

"The guild disbanded." He says simply; not going further.
It becomes noticeable that the entire tavern has quieted down, obviously beginning to listen in to the conversation.

Looking at Dar, Shalech prodded, "So the guild disbanded and the town is abandoned. Why are you still here?"

(Probably because he's in the room and wants to act. That's my assumption; anyone can roll to be involved; either through words or actions.)
November, Dar doesn't seem too interested in answering questions right now; his eyes locked on Croak, with anger on his face.
