ddb.ac/characters/4025891/LYYPD9 Name: Isaryn Aranan Race: Half-Elf Class: Cleric // Life Domain Backstory: It's kinda long so here, have a spoiler tag.
Born very weak to an elven father and a human mother, Isaryn never truly found herself part of a community. Her father chose not to completely abandon her, but still wanted nothing to do with a mixed child who didn't have the strength to fight for herself, and so he left Isaryn toddling through the steps of a grand temple. Isaryn grew up deep within the walls of the temple with her fellow acolytes, who tolerated her quips and stubbornness to various degrees, surrounded by a pantheon she'd come to admire and respect. She found herself drawn to a minor god of healing, Naralis Analor, whom she prayed to the most in hopes of someday becoming stronger enough to rejoin her father or adventuring out to find her mother. Years passed, and as Isaryn was on the verge of adulthood, her father was killed in an ambush while traveling back to their home. "Goblins or something, too many of them," the rest of the party said. Yet, Isaryn couldn't bring herself to feel grief over the father she'd never really gotten a chance to know, only a burning desire to meet the mother she never had before she died as well. So, with nothing but her holy symbols, regalia, and a pack full of more practical necessities given to her, Isaryn left, exchanging the polished, vaulted walls of her temple for the chaotic, viridian forests of the wilds.
I've never played a Paladin, So I'm willing to give it a go. He was raised by religious folks (his true parents abandoned him as an infant), and thus has a serious case of self-loathing. All he does he does in the name of atonement for the sin of his infernal heritage. Fundimentally, he's a good person who won't let evil go unpunished. I used point-buy. His name's rell. He wears a priest's cassock over his chainmail. He's based on a similar cleric i once played.
I'd be up to play a Cleric actually, if there's space.
For this campaign, I'd play this character:
Character name: Lissandra Class: Cleric of Chauntea, Life domain Background: Faction Agent (The Harpers) Backstory: Lissandra grew up in a rural area too small to have a name on a map, some stretch inland from Amn, where she and her siblings helped out their parents at their farm. From an early age, Lissandra showed interest and compassion both for her family members and the small community where their farm was located. She gladly helped out whenever she could, and as such the local Wise-Woman, a priestess of Chaunteau, soon took her under her tutelage. The two helped the villagers and farmers out, blessing their crops or healing their illness in Chauntea's name.
As she came of age, things were good in the little village, but prosperity didn't last long. A drought decimated the crops for miles, and desperate brigands started roaming from city to city, pillaging and pressuring the peasants to give up what scarce resources they had managed to harvest. In an act of desperation, and selfless kindness, Lissandra offered her services as a healer to the brigands if they left her village alone. The bargain was a sound one, and so the brigands accepted her services and whisked her away. The drought lasted for almost a year, and for most of that time, Lissandra would patch up the brigands after battle, or even in some cases act as bait for their wicked schemes, but when her services were not needed, they would lock her up.
But at some point at the end of the drought, a group of Harper Agents who had tracked the brigands for weeks caught up with the gang and rounded them up, freeing Lissandra in the process. Far away from home, and thankful for their help and enamored by their cause, Lissandra joined the Harper's. She has served them ever since in various capacities as she started to journey the countryside, visiting and helping villages as she passed, hoping some day to return home. Through a fellow agent she's now being redirected to investigate some strange happenings.
I don't have access to the domains because I'm cheap so I chose paladin. I haven't really played a combat class, but I can make another guy if you're looking specifically for a cleric.

Accepting his birthright as the protector of his tribe and land. He set forth on his journey to gain experience and prove he can handle the mantle given from his father. He set out thinking to protect nature and the light of the world meant the forest. But coming face to face with civilization he has realized the real light and purity in the world doesn’t just come from the land; but also from people, celebration, love, ... and booze. Just really a big ole goof that protects people, loves nature, and likes to party.
I'd like to submit my Fire Genasi forge cleric for your consideration, this is one character I want to play for a while.
Background:
From when he was born, everyone knew something was wrong with him, son of a human mother and a seemingly noble father that left her as quickly as he appeared in her life, everyone was afraid this child would die in a young age, always seeming feverish, and with an unusually coloured skin.
Luckily for him, his village was one filled with trade, with half-orcs, half-elves and others alike living among them, this helped him not get bullied as a child, and had a rather normal infancy... well unless you consider the fact he was always attracted to fireplaces, bonfires, and smiting houses.
One day at 4, while sitting by the bonfire, a spark appeared in his hand, both stunned and amazed he observed the flame and noticed it made no harm to him, this is a power he would soon learn to control.
At a still young age of 6 he also started learned to smith from a human master, this master was tough and only cared about him as a means to have more hands making the profit, still he endured to learn more of this craft, he also adopted him at 8 when his mother died, this went on until he was 10 years, when he decided to leave the city and follow a dwarven caravan that had some of the best swords, hammers, shields, chainmail and breastplates he had yet seen.
Taking some of his own crafts, he followed the caravan, keeping the distance initially but moving closer afterwards. Initially the dwarves got alert and asked him to show himself, he showed himself in a calm and contended manner, so that they knew he meant no harm.
"What do ye want?" he explains his history and the fact he's learning to craft with a human (showing them what he took along with him) and that he found the smited items they took along for sale were some of the most amazing and that he loved to learn from their smith, the dwarves allow him to go on the caravan as they found his craftsmanship amazing for an 10year old human.
When he got to the dwarven city, an amazing looking city with both clear and dark stone, houses of every size and a castle to a side, they told him Mridon was the one who crafted what they took to the human trade city, rushing to where they said the master craftsman was he found him, Mridon was an old dwarf, late into his years, but as strong as any dwarf 200 years younger, and with a craftsmanship honed by his clergy to Moradin, legends said that once he was built a wall against a dunegar attack in just a few hours.
The place where he was a dark house in the exterior, with well worked arcs, bits of stone and metal mixed intricately as if the stone had been reinforced with metal or vice versa, it was also a tall house with a lot of chimneys, most of them with smoke coming out of them, that smoke them moved to an opening on top of the cavern he asked him to study under him, amazed at the crafting level, for a human, he decided to accept and allowed him to join his dwarven craft school, the only other exception was an elf, Ellana, and she seemed to make more intricate designs rather than the tougher designs of the dwarves.
Over the years he improved and grew the craft, Mridon taught him some extra lessons as he had acquired a linking to him, both by his focus on the forge, his ability to start a forge alone using his flames (and sometimes to use his flames alone for minor details) and his speed to learn (it also helped the fact flames never burnt him as much as any other student).
By the age of 17 his armours were as good as those of any other student of this school, better even than some dwarves, keeping the sturdiness but also implementing some intricate designs he learned from Ellana, she still needed more study as tended to weaken the designs in exchange for beauty, and devoting his art to Moradin, the dwarven god his teacher always said gave him the ability to craft that was now passed down.
At 18 Mriodin told him his studies were over, what he has crafted would be kept as payment and that if he wanted he could then start a business of his own, having better craftsmanship than any human and as good as that of a dwarf 5x his age.
"I will go on an adventure, and spared the glory of the forge, the glory of Moradin! I will honor you!" And so he went, honouring his god and his master, but following his fiery spirit, Mirodin saw him leave with a smile on his face.
It's not done yet I'll have to clean it up when I get off work. I'll also try rolling stats maybe I can get that charisma a bit higher. Whish I could roll em on my phone.

Is this group full? Haven't tried PbP and would like to in a good group. If there's space, what's the current party comp?
Toremar, Paladin 6 / Dez, Gnome Wizard 5 / Perios, Elf Wizard 10 / Skadr, Dwarf Pugilist 7
I'm in the same boat at Xacrom; if there are any extra spaces that you need filled I'd happily roll a character.
The cleric who had wanted to join had to bow out due to lack of time, so am taking applications once again.
