Shaylas spell fills the air with a sweet bell tone and the drake stops moving, it is dead.
(OOC had to look that spell up in Xanathers Guide to Everything)
Reitl and Rix arrive with the stretcher and place Barakas on it, we'll take him to Runara.
Theodor is left wondering about his surcoat, but looking at the litany, it was still out of combat, just embroidery?
The rest of the kobolds arrive and cheerfully remove the bodies of the drakes to bury them elsewhere, they excitedly chat around you seeming to play a game of touching arms, their way of saying thank you. The word party is cheerfully called.
Barakas
He feels a soft hand cover his eyes and felt the swelling go down and then normal vision just in time to see her take his hands in hers and the scald blisters disappear, scar tissue is clearly seen, then like a new page his injuries are no more. Eat more today Barakas Runara said
Theodor goes to the kitchen and looks for the biggest tankard or mug he can find. Fills it with mead, and takes it to where Barakas' bed is and sits it next to him.
Theodor goes back to the beach, tries to find a small piece of gnarled driftwood. He sits on a rock and uses his dagger to try and carve the wood into a tentacle. (Dexterity check: 12)
He takes the carving to Trilaxa, and hands it to her. "I hope you're OK?"
Theodor was filled with dread at the pools, hoping not to have to bury people. He is relieved the other pilgrims survived.
Theodor goes back to where he is bunking. He takes off the surcoat and examines it. What did he hear at the pools?
Theodor kneels down and sits with his feet under him, he puts the surcoat on his lap and places his hand on the litany. He slows his breathing and prays to Bahamut, trying to extend his will to find out what he heard at the pools.
Near the high tide line Theodor finds a piece of driftwood that fits his idea of a Tentacle. He sits on the rock whittling away and finds himself satisfied with the result, the suckers on the tentacle look quite realistic, he is sure that Trilaxa will like it.
Theodor realises that the litany embroidery is quiet when not in battle, and this was the oldest Draconic lettering, difficult to read. As he prayed the litany lightly glowed as if recharging itself from Theodors own prayers.
By the hotsprings he had heard the litany ringing in his ears, and he swore that he'd seen the prayer moving in the embroidered decorative border. It was like a tale, somehow the litany was being used as a battle blessing, he'd need to speak to Runara, and he didn't want Reitl to get into trouble in case he'd given him an enchanted surcoat.
As he regains consciousness, he looks at Runara, and does a small nod after hearing her words. Before he could try to sit on the bed, he notices Theodor coming with a mug. Barakas then sits on his bed, while panting and smiles at Theodor "Thank you for your help."
(OCC: Can Barakas walk or he is unable to move for now?)
Runara gave them a last look over. The two of you can go now, just remember to eat and drink more today. No fighting. Relax at Dragons Rest or join the kobold revelry after dinner. They like bathing in the dark and now they have their hot springs back.
He thanks Runara for the help, and slowly stands up. He then picks up the mug Theodor left with him, still with some mead, and walks out of the room. Barakas then tries to remember if there where any place on temple, which he could stay there, without interrupts while talking to Bahamut (either a statue or some representation of him).
The upper Temple is quiet at this time of day. Runara, Reitl and Rix head out for lunch, after that they normally spend the afternoon in the library copying scrolls, Grimoires and books for various patrons, normally Temples or wizards. The Temple itself would be tranquil at that time of day.
A small statue of Bahamut is in an alcove in your room if you want privacy.
The dinner bell rang. Vornath was waiting with a large ladle in her hands dishing out fish stew, with fresh bread and cheese. The fish were from their own fishing that morning, a common dish, hot and spicy. The mead flowed liberally.
He starts walking towards the Temple as he hears the dinner Bell. Even though Runara told him to eat, he ignores the bell and decides he can go the Temple on that moment and pick some leftovers later.
As he reaches the Temple, he finds a quiet part of it and starts praying. Few minutes pass by and he again activates his Thaumaturgy. As his voice increases and he starts sobbing from his eyes, which had changed to bright red he starts yelling. "I know I'm not the one you care for, I know I'm not the one you protect but please give me the strength. I don't want to lose any more companions cause I'm weak. I'm creature from hell, and I'll do whatever it takes to receive your blessing. So please, give me anything you can so I'm the cause of anyone dying again. Bahamut, tell me how to pay and I'll do."
She looks in on Barakas, hearing him from down the hall. She leaves him in peace seeing that this is a private moment. She continues on to dinner.
"The food looks amazing! Thank you!" making a sign to Raei, she gets her fill or soup and bread. Instead of mead, she asks for some boiled water.
Later in her cell, she goes through meditation and physical exercises building up a light sweat. She cleans herself off and goes to sleep reminding herself that next time she should try diplomacy before blades.

I want to create a flying bomb holding alchemists fire, see look here this one flys. She winds up the clockwork bat and sets it flying around her chamber. Then she gestures at a much larger contraption filled with potion bottles containing water, a six pack. I need to get it to fly in a straight line to be useful, what do you think, do you want to try it for me? Do you think it is too heavy?
Barakas
The eyes of the statue turned blue, and he swore that he could hear songbirds around him, the smell of cedar was overpowering. A sense of peace filled him and he felt the touch of a hand on his head yet there was no-one next to him. A blessing has been given.
A new path opens up for Barakas and he finds a white robe in his quarters embroidered with the litany. Runara quietly leaves the Temple, she had heard his heartfelt plea.
As he reaches his quarters he looks at the white robe and murmurs in infernal "I guess I need to be more careful now. This wouldn't look good if tainted red." He then folds the robe and leaves it on top of his bed as he walks down to the dinning hall and joins (whoever is there) and eats something, while keeping a conversation with those there.
Theodor at one point will try to find Runara and ask for a conversation.
"Cleric Runara, could I ask you, this surcoat I'm wearing, I could swear I could hear the chanting of the litany when we were fighting the fume drakes. It was also like I could see the Draconic writing moving. Could it be possible I've been given the wrong surcoat perhaps?"
"I would love to try this out for you! I'm quite interested in anything that flies. Who knows, perhaps you could make me wings, and I can fly above the undead and drop bombs on them?" he says, a huge smile on his face. "Just tell me what to do and it will be done!"

While we rest from our encounters with the Fume Drakes, Krack is going to visit Myla.
“Hello, how are you?” he offers, “you had mentioned devising something new to help with the undead problem. We’ll I’m here to help you lady Myla.”
He looks around at all the contraptions and gadgets she has.
Trilaxa eats well, but seems to be in a much more reserved mood than the day before. She retreats to the library after eating.
