You are waiting for a meeting with two high-ranking leaders of the Veiled Alliance, Sartaj, and Marama.
The large meeting room in the safe house seems comfortable, if austere.
A wood and leather door – unusual in Tyr – blocks the single entrance to the room. A large carpet scattered with cushions lies in the center of the room, while more cushions lie stacked roughly near the door. Along the stone and mortar walls, a trio of braziers emits light, heat, and sweet-smelling smoke. Along the walls, hanging boxes decorated with oasis scenes hold various live plants.
A faint hum in the air reminds you that these rooms are warded against eavesdroppers. As you look about the room, you recognize some fellow members of the Veiled Alliance, but see no sign of either Sartaj or Marama, who you were called here to meet.
Opening the entry to the safe house is a large insect-like humanoid, a thri-kreen. It has a sandy yellowish-brown carapace with features that some might decide are demonic. The large thri-kreen at a stooped height is easily as tall as a half-giant, so how it got to the safe house undetected is anyone's guess. Its fang-like mandibles chitter slightly as it doesn't stoop to look into the room, but is seemingly aware of the surroundings inside. The large plated body moves slightly left, then right, and then vanishes, reappearing on the inside of the safe house. It holds up one of its large spikey looking arms in a manner to those who are not well versed in thri-kreen may think of being a menacing action, but in actuality all it does is press it against the top of the door to close it behind itself.
Once within the room, it glances around slightly before making towards a quiet corner and simply sits there, almost like a statue as it waits for something, or someone. As it waits, there some pieces of apparel that become evident; a long piece of wood with stone jagged tips pointed into a three-pronged edge on either side is kept to his side, held by one of its shorter four arms. Attached to his side is bag that looks minute on its huge frame, obscured mostly by the cloak cover it has to keep the suns glare off of its carapace. On its side it has a stone tri-pronged blade, which those who know of the thri-kreen will have heard of the chatka, a throwable weapon made by these mantis people to fight at range alongide the spear-weapon of the gythka.
Occasionally, the thri-kreen will glance at the door, then look back to the room, as if waiting for something to happen.
(First spoiler is a pic of a Sakar-Kreen. My character would look more like the one on the right)
(Second spoiler is for DM)
Used Wild Talent: Sensing Eye to see inside the room, then Wild Talent:Mind Step in order to get inside.
Continue using Sensing Eye to have a better look around the room without getting up and looking around. (Personality Trait: I tend to use my talents for even the most minor tasks (telepathy instead of speaking, moving small objects with my mind instead of picking them up, etc).
As for prepared things, my Order of the Nomad: Breadth of Knowledge allows me to start the day with two proficiencies in skills/tool or languages. Taken Perception and Animal Handling for the meantime. These can be swapped out on a long rest and I'll state if I will do.
Final thing, having Psychic Focus gives me a passive ability based on which disciplines I have. Will be in Nomadic Step which allows me to move 10 feet after a teleport.
Resalla had been watching from across the way from the safe house when she saw the thri-kreen approach the room and then suddenly vanish. Not sure how to enter without drawing attention to her 6’6” size, the Dray pulls her sandy robe over her head. She squats low to obscure her size and quickly moves to the door. Once inside she looks for the giant insect.
Preferring the cushions in the center of the room, Resalla pulls back her hood to reveal her golden reptilian eyes. Searching the room, she says “Nice trick. Popping in and out of places like that can be useful. Not that you probably care about secrets at your size.” Her red scales reacting to the chill and shade of the room, the Dray wizard twitches her long tail in anticipation of other visitors. Armed with a wickedly barbed leather whip and a long dagger fashioned from some gigantic beast, she seems at peace. After several moments of silence, she takes out a dusty text and begins to read silently to herself.
"Grmpf" the grave voice of the mul came from one of the walls, both Resalla and Sakar-Kreen see now the former gladiator among some cushions, resting taking sips from a ceramic mug in his big hands. "You keep doing that tricks and you are going to attrac a lot of undesired attention towards this zone of the city. Last thing we need is a bucnh of childs saying that the alley is haunted and people dissapear on the blink of an eye. " the mul moves and the tatoos on his orange tan skin were more visible as he enters the light from the candles "except for you big guy " he points to the thri-kreen " I am sure that the templars will be grateful if they heard they had get rid of someone as ugly as you are" he smiles wildly and laughs of his own joke.
Upon Resalla taking out her literature, the thri-kreen in the corner suddenly seems to be animated again. Its head turns to the side as its mandibles begin to click again.
To Darok:
"Not time for words, look." The thri-kreen telepathically communicates with the mul. "Scaled one has writing."
To DM:
Kr'Kakkak is now using his Sensing Eye to look over Resalla's shoulder at her literature. I assume this is her "spellbook" so he will not be able to decipher it.
A hooded figure enters the room using the door, it is tall but thin and covered so as to be almost completely hidden by hood and sleeves and trousers. Strangely, the person seems to be steaming, every few seconds a wisp of steam comes out of the hooded void and from the tips of the sleeves. As it walks into the room it slows and surveys the others, before uttering what sounds like a snort of laughter.
Lifting the hood back and letting it fall behind the other can see a head of a humanoid male, ebony in colour with a central ridge seeming to be almost rocky in texture, red lines running from the eyes down the cheeks almost like lava running from a volcano mar smoother skin and draw attention back to eyes of burning red, coloured like the heart of the earth. The steam continues to escape from him indicating he is far, far hotter than any natural creature could be.
His clothing is well suited to the life of one who lives in the wastes, he seems prepared for travel and battle as he raises his hood a glimpse of a type of scale mail, formed from some type of chitinous shell seems to protect his body at least and a shield made of what appears to be a selection of large scales worked over a frame with some sort of resin holding them together rests across his back along with a short spear.
"Greetings to you all, my name is Keaz, it is my pleasure to meet you all. May the flames light your path and illuminate your destinies."

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
The thri-kreen's head turns slightly, its mandibles making more deep clacking noises at it looks briefly to Keaz, then back to Resalla.
To Darok:
"Are these clutch members? I have not seen them before." Kr'Kakkak asks telepathically. "The scaled one intrigues me more. She has written text I have not seen before. The writing is of that I do not understand."
OOC: to be clear. Books are extremely rare in Athas and this Templars hunt them for the Sorcerer Kings. They are destroyed on sight or gathered in private libraries deep in their fortresses.
Spell books for wizards are carved on bones or staffs and are usually coded so that they wouldn't be recognised just by seeing them. Some have even created a language of knots.
Resalla has either a parchment, very rare also but easy to hide, or tablets of clay.
(OOC: I understand that. That's why Kr'Kakkak is taking a curious fascination with it)
The sacar-kreen also differs from the mantis warriors in that it does not share the fascination for the hunt. They are just as single-minded as a mantis warrior, but their purpose has passed that of mere survival. In most, the quest for knowledge has replaced the need for the hunt - and indeed, most sacar-kreen are literate. They voraciously seek out reading material of all kinds, with a fervent disregard for the illegality of such materials in the Seven Cities.
After a couple of minutes, the thri kreen slowly begins to move from his position, slowly scuttling to near the dray, a look of morbid curiosity, making more clicking noises as it does so.
Kr'Kakkak looks over to Darok after his name is mentioned (it is just three clicking noises, one harsh one and two softer ones). He strides across with big purposeful steps and stands beside the burly mul, as a guard would stand beside their master. His black solid eyes seem to glance to each of the others in the group. He then emits a psionic probe to speak into each person's head, a telepathic message.
Kr'Kakkak is what they call me. Darok is my clutch kin. If you are of my clutch, we will stride together as one.
Kr'Kakkak then lookks back to Resalla, sending her a separate message after:
Seeing the high interest in what she is reading, Resalla slides the text back into her robe. "This is no spell book as you might assume. It is rare and something I personally cherish. It is a transferred text from the history of Dregoth. It is a fictionalized account of the of the Cleansing Wars and the Betrayal. Where I came from literature is highly prized but this is not original. I transferred it myself for entertainment and to keep the past alive in my mind." Having said this, she takes more care of the new associates. She generally likes attention but this seems to have caused some unnecessary danger in an already tense group. Resalla gets up from her seat and moves to the edge of the room to better defend against an attack.

Literature is good. Brings knowledge. Perhaps show how to read those letters sometime, and in return can show you knowledge gained from my old clutch. In a clutch, trust one another. A clutch is strong with these bonds, and the clutch prospers when information is shared.
Kr-kakkak doesn't leave Darok's side as he watches.
