Rengar finishes his meal, taking one last bite out of the roasted flesh. While chewing vigorously, he draws his Scimitar of Wounding in one hand in a sturdy reverse grip and his offhand blade in the other in a more traditional grip.
"Well, if we've come here for answers..." he mutters.
He slings his backpack over his leather shoulder pads, which are decorated in sharp, protruding bone spikes and tucks it under his long, white braided mane which has more trophies of large claws braided throughout the hair. He gives a side-eye to the rest of the party. "Tread carefully and keep your eyes peeled. Allow us to guide you through these treacherous wilds." He pauses before approaching the timid dwarf adorned in animal furs (Desarin). "With the aid of us both, we can surely navigate these woods with little trouble. Let's try to stay as inconspicuous as possible." He suggests before assuming a hunched, crouched like posture.
Vigs would pick his pack back up and would follow along with them, making an effort to sneak in his full plate armor. (Can I get a crash course on the built-in dice roller, I mean do I add two d20's or just one and then turn on disadvantage?)
[If you're on desktop, you can click the little three dot dice and it opens all the options for you. You can select disadvantage from that. If you're just tying it manually, I usually just do 2 D20 rolls and pick the lower one. However you can find more info on it HERE =) ]
Vigs would nod as the sheer amount of noise already made would give his position away anyhow. He would pull out his shield and hand crossbow looking into the woods for any movement.
Desarian nods at Rengars comment. Noting the lack of subtlety of some of the others in the group, he casts Pass Without Trace to help cover the deficiencies.
As others attempt (and most succeed) to hide from potential predators, Eudith attempts to take in the forest surroundings herself. Though she cannot find any particular paths standing out, she does notice something off abut her immediate surroundings. She could hear a...sound. It wasn't clear as she wasn't focused on it, but it seemed to be coming from a darkened part of the forest nearby.
Vigs would be the one to look through it. As the Kobold's eyes slowly adjust to the dim light, he sees the silhouette of a large, tree-like creature emerge from perhaps 30 paces into the woods and step onto the path before them. The strange creature completely blocks the way, and seems to be watching the group and waiting...
Liam the Weak: Level 4 Human Fighter - Trying to fight against his other personality, and constantly losing.
Aodh: Level 20 Half-Elf Cleric of Life - Not really. It's a strange being that had possessed and broke down a level 20 Cleric of Life Domain, gaining his knowledge and power.
"*****": Level 1 Tiefling Sorcerer - Her family is dead, and her will is broken. She follows orders so that those that command her will allow her to die.
Vigs' jaw would drop and he stares at the tree monster and then goes totally still. He takes a short step back, readies his shield and yells. "Guys, there is a Tree-Ant!" Vigs would not know he said the word wrong, but as he did he would point his hand crossbow up at the beast.
Desarian steps forward, making no threatening moves towards the creatures ahead of them. He gestures at a flower midway between himself and the creatures, speaking a word and causing it to bloom, then gestures to himself and the rest of the group. "Friends," he says.
Rengar slings into the long grass, looking around the forest away from the walking tree, in case it may be a distraction for an ambush.

He will also take a moment to cast Primevil Awareness.

As an action, you can expend one ranger spell slot (1 minute per level of spell slot) to sense whether any aberrations, celestials, dragons, elementals, fey, fiends, or undead are present within 1 mile of you (or within up to 6 miles if you are in your favored terrain). This feature doesn’t reveal the creatures’ location or number.
A large living tree with dark, cracked bark blocks the trail in front of everyone. Its black eyes watch everyone intently. Thick, dark sap runs unchecked like tears down its gnarled face. The strange creature shows no other sign of emotion, even when Vigs prepares for a possible battle by brandishing a shield and readying a crossbow.
Eudith and Anora look to see if the being has I’ll intent. They see that it does not.
Rengar checks to see if there were any wandering creatures nearby or some sort of ambush. With such a deep knowledge of forests, detecting a plethora of creatures was much easier than usual. Luckily, not many creatures of the forest are close enough to bother them or the treant. There is, however, two notable fey presences miles away...
When Desarian approaches and attempts to communicate with the treant, a deep, powerful voice responds,
"She has returned! The Dusk Queen has returned! Have you come to retrieve the mirror shards for her?"

Seeing the trees open up, Anora smiles and says,
"It'd be rude to say 'No', let's go"

Eudith will attempt to follow, quietly. 2
...she is quite clumsy, it seems, frequently tripping over roots and walking into branches.
[Rengar immediatley regrets not persuing this investigation alone. ]

"Don't bother sneaking, little one, the forest knows we're here." Eudith puts her hands behind her head and sighs.

What could this tree want from us, Eudith wondered?

(I forgot to add +8 to that roll but still, whew.) "Maybe it wants to be our friend?", she mumbles to herself, unsure.
