The party makes their precautions. The First watch is uneventful. Aelar wakes up Orjon and settles in to sleep.
Orjon with a 13 Perception you don't notice anything either but you do get a feeling of weariness wash over your body you are on edge for a bit but chuck it up to the eventful day. At the end of your watch you go to wake up Therkis.
Therkis with your 19 you notice you are also feeling quite tired. As you finally manage to open your eyes you see a faint shimmer of a glow around Orjon. Looking around you see it around the others as well.
Therkis stares at Orjon and exclaims, "What happened to you, Orjon? There is a glow around you and there is a glow around the others as well". Therkis then sends his Mage Hand over to Aelar and Leif and moves his hand around the glow and watches for a reaction from it.
Orjon awakes from his sleep and slowly sits up, very groggy, and a wee bit upset that he has been waken up right as he was getting into his deep sleep assuming orjon see's the glow as well Seems as though I am blessed by the gods once more! you know, this reminds me of a time whe... and a loud thud echoes across the room as the goliath falls to the ground back asleep.

The glow starts to move away and float up into the ceiling
Everyone in the room lights up like a Christmas tree. You get the stench of the undead fill your nose. As Orjon's ghost floats up you loose sight of it as it passes through the stone roof
"Continue your round with mage hand it seems to end the life drain going on, perhaps a possessing effect?" If necessary I stand ready to death ward or stabilize whomever needs it. (If this is a direct effect of an undead interaction there is a possibility Leif would be overlooked, Among the Dead feature.)

You got the solution to the puzzle. So we are going to move on.
The rest of the night goes fine with no interruptions. You recover from your level of exhaustion.
You are still in the gargoyles lair and there are 3 doors to exit. To the east the door you came in. Then there is a large double door south and a single man sized door in the southeast corner.
Therkis gets to work on checking the doors for traps and also looking for secret doors in the room.
1st, he uses his PERCEPTION skills to check the double doors for TRAPS. I rolled a 5, but due to RELIABLE TALENT, the roll becomes a 10 +9 for a 19
((Reliable Talent (Special) Whenever you make an ability check that lets you add your proficiency bonus, you can treat a d20 roll of 9 or lower as a 10.))
2nd, he uses his PERCEPTION skills to check the single door in the SE corner for TRAPS. I rolled a 5, but due to RELIABLE TALENT, the roll becomes a 10 +9 for a 19
3rd, he uses his PERCEPTION skills to check the room for SECRET DOORS. I rolled a 19 +9 for a 28.
Aelar yawns and stretches feeling rested despite the horrors from the night before. Thanks for keeping those ghosts away, I shudder to think what might’ve happened. He lifts his mace and shield and is ready to follow the party through whichever door.

Orjon can take second watch.
Perception: 16
Therkis rolled a 2 +9 = 11 for PERCEPTION, but because of RELIABLE TALENT, I get a result of 19. I will take whatever watch is left.
Leif’s perception for watches 2 10 & -1

Leif wonders at this revelation from Therkis, Arcana 11.
Aelar will cast detect evil and good
Orjon awakes from his sleep and slowly sits up, very groggy, and a wee bit upset that he has been waken up right as he was getting into his deep sleep assuming orjon see's the glow as well Seems as though I am blessed by the gods once more! you know, this reminds me of a time whe... and a loud thud echoes across the room as the goliath falls to the ground back asleep.
The glow starts to move away and float up into the ceiling
With an 11 your not sure if this is a spell effect or a creature.
Everyone in the room lights up like a Christmas tree. You get the stench of the undead fill your nose. As Orjon's ghost floats up you loose sight of it as it passes through the stone roof
Aelar will cast healing hands (8hp) on himself and lay on hands (50hp) to restore 58 health
Leif uses his keen investigation skills looking for more clues what may be happening. Investigation 25
Therkis will use his PERCEPTION ability of 19 to look around for any other clues.
Everyone is having their life force drained. You see Orjon no longer possessed after mage hand touched him.
Nothing new

OOC - I keep forgetting about my steed, it should’ve been in the fight before oh well. Next time lol.
It does apply but it passed the DC16 check.

You are still in the gargoyles lair and there are 3 doors to exit. To the east the door you came in. Then there is a large double door south and a single man sized door in the southeast corner.
What do you want to do
Therkis gets to work on checking the doors for traps and also looking for secret doors in the room.

The double door is bigger, so clearly we should go through that door. We all know the classical saying "Bigger is ALWAYS better"
Orjon says that, but will of course wait for the party to inspect the room and give feedback
