Ian looks at the wagon and animals and says “should we stay on dry ground or take the river?” Though he is more skilled in land maneuvers, the thought of floating up to Secomber seems easier.
"I am not a man of the sea, and I've never been one to take the less dangerous route. I would not be remiss to find more hobgoblins to slay and keep this town safer in the process, though I will be glad to take the river route if you all so choose," Tyrus answers.
“If you are more confident on the road, let’s continue with the wagon. Regardless, I would have us be gone soon.” Ian checks on the Dire wolves and gets on his horse.
The road along the river is peaceful and smooth. No signs of danger cause you to slow up prior to stopping for the evening. Locals along the road indicate that Secomber is about one more days ride ahead.

The first watch passes without any excitement. During the second watch, Tyrus notices glowing spirits drifting down the road right past your campsite. They do not engage with you. You can hear them discussing the situations that caused their death and the urgency of getting to their appointment.

The remainder of the night continues as the rest. Ian hears more spirits speaking as they pass. He recalls them referring in an ominous tone to a payment due and a reference to the “keeper “. As light appears, the spirits stop traveling along the road. All normal morning activities take place before you continue along your path.
“Please.... I hope that we can make it to the next town without any other delays or distractions.” Taking a quick glance at Tyrus, Ian feeds the animals and loads the wagon to continue onward. “Arafiel.... did you see anything strange last night?”
As your party continues down the road, no evidence of the nights traveling spirits can be seen. As Secomber appears in distance, thick timbers make up the front gate and entrance. Musicians and dancers seem to be performing just outside the gate.
