Not hearing the music but hearing the others talk about a possible caravan. "We should maybe get the caravan in sight and then watch it for awhile before approaching. We don't want to encounter slavers."

It sounds like a slow sad song being played by an accordion. Now that you've stopped and are listening for it you can all make it out now. You can also hear some low voices singing along to the song, although you can't make out the words.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Brom Ironshield lvl 3| Hill Dwarf| Fighter
Upon hearing the sad song and the low voices singing along. "That sad music. This may be a funeral ceremony of some kind. But it could still be slavers. Some allow the prisoners to sing in order to lure people to them and keep the prisoners calm."
*that's a good roll but I don't know what more I can tell you unless you get a look. You haven't seen any sign of them yet. I'll let you keep that roll for when you can see them.
"I'm not so sure on this music I don't usually care much for it. Can't say it sounds happy or joyful though and these trees sure block our view maybe we shouldn't pursue them to obviously if it is coming from a caravan... or anything else for that matter"
Ny scratches his head and looks at everyone with squinted eyes to take in details of what everyone looks like.
Vaalu has been staring in the rough direction of the song ever since the group picked up on it, quietly humming along to the tune. She shakes out of it at the second mention of slavers, and clicks her tongue. "If they are slavers. We cut down. If not. Then we stay with them. For a bit. Simple. Either way, I go now. If you lot want to be sneaky, then be sneaky. Follow and keep watch. I signal if it gets bad."
The easily eight foot tall 'giantess' states nonchalantly. After taking a brief amount of time to adjust the great bow (long bow by her standards) on her back, and making sure her pony tail wouldn't get caught in it (again) or the axes at her sides hadn't been forgotten in her rush, she starts marching again without much of a care in the world. The others would have to stick pretty close to see her in the mist. Because even with an imposing figure and dark brown and black mix of lizard hide and fur from other beasts composing her clothing, her pale blue skin blended in pretty well with the mist. And she showed a lot of skin, if only by virtue of being so big and her arms being exposed to the air.
"Follow slowly and quiet, Vaalu and I will scout ahead and get a first impression. Then we'll report back. Be ready if something goes amiss to come to our aid. Does that sound like a plan?" Faron deposits his backpack with the group and quickly follows Vaalu.
Being in a strange land with no sense of direction, Brom is uneasy but he is a true warrior so he never turns away from a fight. "I am ok with whatever the group decides. Want to fight, we fight. Me sword is at your service."

As Faron and Valuu head a bit ahead of everyone the road gradually disappears and is replaced by a twisted, muddy path through the trees. Deep ruts in the earth are evidence of comings and goings of wagons.
The canopy of mist and branches gives way to black clouds boiling far above. There is a clearing next to a river that widens to form a small lake. Five colourful round tents are pitched outside a ring of four barrel topped wagons. A much larger tent stands near the shore of the lake, it's sagging form lit from within. Near this tent some unbridled horses drink from the river.
You see a group of brightly dressed individuals sitting near a bonfire playing the mournful accordion song you heard earlier.
Vaalu will look to Faron and gives him a playful slap on the shoulder if he is within easy reach of her. "So, we still worried of slavers and bad men? Or shall one of us go knock and see."She cracks a wiry smile at the elf before stepping forward with every intention on being the one to make her presence known first. But, if Faron so much as call out to her, she will stop and let out an exasperated huff.

Whilst the scouts are ahead looking for more details Nylin will be playing with his dice set happy to let anyone else play along. (Not expecting to actually do anything with this just some flavour for passing time, thank you vaalu!)
”Anyone fancy playing there luck?” Nylin chuckles to himself.
Very happy to have someone respond, Nylin splits the dice so Andres has his own set.
”This ones my favourite ,it’s called best of three. We roll three six sided dice and keep the highest one, then roll the other two and keep the highest, then roll the last and add up our scores. The player with the highest total wins! And if you want to play with money you bet between each roll!” Nylin smiles as he looks into Andres eyes, rolling the dice in his hand.
”I used to play this with my troop when we tried to pass time, kept the kids from thinking about home.”
"Yah, yah. I hold hand up high, if okay."She says in passing. Vaalu makes no secret of her approach of the camp. She will try to approach from a more circular route as to keep the exact direction she came from a mystery. But, is otherwise straight-forward, and actively as noisy as someone unused to the outdoors. As she is not the most sociable creature however, at least one hand is always kept hovering near her weapon for the time being.
"Ho there!" She calls out once within easy earshot of the people at the bonfire. "This day is pleasant, yes?"

The men at the fire all turn to see Vaalu approach. A few look surprised at the shear size of her but try to hide it the best they can. A man stands up holding a wine skin and comes to meet her. "Welcome! Come, warm yourself by the fire. You must be tired from the road." and he offers you the wine
Vaalu cannot help but visibly cringe at the looks some give her. Even so, when offered the wine, she will scoop it up and give it a few sniffs. "Hm! Different."What starts as a swig turns into a full on attempt to nearly drown herself in attempt to down the rest of the skins contents. All the while she tries to keep at least one eye out to gauge the reaction of the people watch her. Though she might sway at first after, so long as nothing untoward happens, she'll raise a thumb in the air.
"Not bad! Not as good as home. But, not bad. Though hope you have more for friends coming soon."She says as she starts moving to follow to the fire. "They are quite tired too. And worried. This land is unfamiliar."
