A muttered "That's right, you'd better run." was followed by Jean re-sheathing her blade.
Joja, you make your way down to the deck of the ship, earning a confused look from a few of the crew. Keenwhistle looks particularly interested in speaking with you.
Jean, Norn arches an eyebrow at you quizzically at the sight of your blade. He announces that you are perhaps two hours from the crystal stream and the Abbey at Viper Lake.
Elodin... something is bothering you. You sense something buzzing just at the edges of your perception, sort of like a mosquito. You've felt this before, lives and worlds away... What was it?
(Everyone (including Amaruve!) break out those dusty old character sheets! Time for a good old fashioned D&D roll. In addition to whatever normal character actions you take before winding up at the Abbey, I need you all to roll Perception, d20 style!)
Gordra and Cordelia- you both have advantage on this roll!

"T-Thank goodness,"Cordelia stumbled on her words. That was odd. She shook her head, asking the mousey feeling to go away. "Why are the crabs here so aggressive? We saw about 40 of them out by the beach..."

Jean hears the whisper in the way a drowning man tastes the ocean. She hears it almost as though it were pouring out of her own head. And teeth. And bones. And what she hears confuses and frightens her.
"It wasn't our fault! It wasn't our fau- was no time. Everything gone in an inst- elia, where are you?!Where are we-wasnotimetherewasnotimetherewasno- Murderers! Thieves!"
And on and on, the cries of countless voices overcomes her.
(Jean, did you ever tell your companions about this experience in any of the other leaps?)
Amaruve, in the darkness you feel a familiar sensation. The next leap is starting to form.
Cordelia, your sense is much more specific. The gate is forming ahead of you. In your mind you see an image of a placid lake, a redstone abbey, and a cave... Across from the abbey facing the lake is a dark hole in the rock. The gate/rift is forming there, but as always something lies in wait...
Perspicacious will go to Keenwhistle when she notices the odd looks. "So... you get many ghost ships around here?"
Keenwhistle gives you a sharp look. She slowly shakes her head without breaking eye contact. Her expression clearly says, "Do I want to know just happened?"
(Cordelia is gonna just keep going until Bearman is safely healed.)

Gordra, you sense the location of the portal, as well. More than that, however, you feel the edges of the magic that drove Amaruve and Jean to violence and fear in your lab all those leaps ago. It isn't strong enough to affect you... yet.
There's something else. You don't know what it is, but you sense something at the portal beyond the usual natural challenge you typically face there. It's familiar, and malicious, and... And it's gone.
Perspicacious will go to Keenwhistle when she notices the odd looks. "So... you get many ghost ships around here?"
"And more to the point, do they have any ghost cheese?"
"Ghost cheese... what are you talking ab.. wait, you saw it too!? So I'm not crazy, at least... not yet. Did you see the captain? Why do you think they let us go?"
"I can feel the portal opening, can you two? We need to get to the abbey, I can only hope that either Cordelia or Baubur can feel it too. I don't know why we were released by the spectral captain, but we need to make haste. Also everyone be on guard, there's... something... something familiar near the portal, I could feel it for a moment, but now its gone."
The cart is led down the path and away from the ghost crab. Cordelia, you feel the buzzing sensation growing stronger as you draw nearer to your destination. You try to maintain light conversation with the shrews (who have stabilized Baobur, but have not returned him to consciousness or reduced his harm). However, you are too distracted, and you eventually fall entirely silent.
Baobur, in the darkness of your sleep, you ache. If you had Amaruve's complete memories, you would have kept track of the wounds you've collected: several lacerations, a concussion, a dislocated shoulder, several cracked ribs... This mouse's body is in need of immediate medical attention or, barring that, the kind of magical administrations that this world seems to be lacking.
Tevii and the shrews make their way to Viper Lake in less than an hour. The redstone Abbey stands tall before you. Rushing from the front door is a small, bookish-looking mouse. After some brief introductions, you learn that this is Ollis, the sole remaining resident of the Abbey. The large father shrew (whose name you have learned to be Benroc) carries Baobur into the ground-level entrance of Ollis's tower. After carefully removing several armloads of scrolls, Baobur is set upon a wooden desk. Ollis begins gathering several crsytals and parchments and he addresses you, Tevii. "It's been a long time since the Guard traveled so far north. How did you and your master hear of our trouble, little Tenderpaw?"
