As Amar leaves the room he'll toss the keys to the gnoll. "Being tortured and eaten serves no purpose. He should be a nice distraction for the Hobgoblins"
As the party nears Markas, he'll step out and make himself clearly visible and once joined describe what's down the tunnel the last hobgoblin ran down.
Amar tosses the keys to the bound gnoll. They clatter around the furry feet of the monster. The creature looks down at them and back up at Amar with a heartbroken expression in its eyes. It wails as Amar and the party back away. Its eyes cast daggers at the rest of the party and it suddenly becomes anxious, its breathing becomes hurried. It licks its lips and it reaches with its toes for the keys. Simultaneously it pulls at the bindings above its head in a herculean attempt to free itself.
The party backs away and head back up the passage that lead to the torture chamber. The orc leads the way up, acknowledges Markas with a grunt, passes the the three-way intersection where the hobgoblins lay, and soldiers hurriedly toward the barred, wooden door that Markas previously spotted.
Much further down the passageway--at least a hundred feet or more--in the darkness you start to hear a steady beating of metal on shield and many marching feet moving toward you...
Amar says as we get moving, "I've got an idea but we need to get to room where the barrel of spears was stored. A nice narrow spot. Assuming the goblins will cooperate."

Despite what you said, the orc is intent on leading you to the barred door ahead.
Pagan lights two torches and hands one to Lhodis. "Everybody stay together," he says. "You Orc- up front where we can see you. I will guard the back."

How do you want the marching order with respect to the prisoners?
(I especially need to know who’s in back for when the gnoll frees himself...)
Orc and Dwarf in front. Foolish Mage and Pagan in the rear watching for rabid dogs to come bite us in the ass. :)
"I bet you a cold draft that stupid Gnoll attacks us once it's free," Pagan says to Amar. He draws his Shoto. "I ******* hope I am wrong."
I know you're wrong. He won't attack me...first.
Amar readies has mace as he becomes part of the rear guard

Is the approaching army blocking us from exiting the tunnels?
Nothing you can see is blocking your passage. The approaching threat is not within sight, but you expect it will be soon.
Despite what you said, the orc is intent on leading you to the barred door ahead.
Amar, says hurriedly, "Vrutha what are you doing? What's behind that door? Quickly, before we're over run!"
Insight checks for discerning the orc’s intent:
Amar: 3
Brumdal: 4
Javon: 7
Markas: 8
Pagan: 18
Zerys: 25
Amar and Brumdal are perhaps a bit skeptical.
Markas and Zerys believe there is no deception here.
Javon and—ironically—Pagan are highly confident that the orc is highly confident about the barred door.
Amar eyes Pagan, "You believe him don't you ... "
Could we get a map update? Also can we tell which direction the sounds of enemies are coming from?
"I am in favor of getting out of here quickly," Pagan replies. "And safely. It is hard to enjoy beer when you are dead."
Markas eyes Pagan, "For once we agree on something, let the Orc lead us out, we must get these people to safety."

Everyone's position is not exact, so you have some leeway in saying where you want your characters to be.
If we roll for initiative then I'll make the positions exact.
Amar will move side by side with Pagan holding up the rear guard. Amar will take a potion out of his bag, and keep it near.
Zerys will follow the pack keeping an eye on the new comers.
@Pagan, @Markas, @Brumdal, your intentions?
Javon is seeing how this plays out with thr orc.
Markas is waiting for the Orc to lead us out through the barred door.
