He studies the door for a moment and says to no one in particular, "Secret doors and traps are often bedfellows. Let's make sure there isn't some nasty surprise waiting for the next fellow to open this door."

Kebron waits for Rin to finish checking the door, once the all clear is given, he'll open it.

Phrael would give the top floor a complete look over while the others are still dealing with the kenku and neverember.

 After checking carefully, Rin let Kebron know that is ok to proceed.

When the secret door is opened, you hear the faint sound of a bell ringing in the offices above them 

The Zhents have stashed two wooden crates here. The first, stolen from the docks, contains four wood-framed paintings wrapped in leather. The paintings depict the cities of Luskan, Neverwinter, Silverymoon, and Baldur’s Gate. (They look expensive)

The second crate, stolen from a caravan on the High Road, contains fifteen 10-pound silver trade bars, all black from corrosion but might still be worth something.

 You hear a bell ringing (after Kebron and Rin open the secret door) and in the offices the only thing that caught your attention was a small flat box with a tag that says "paper birds" containing 9 sheets of the parchment

"Flux is waving down the city watch; we should probably inform them of this stuff as well," says Rin as he motions toward the paintings and silver bars. "What do you think, Kebron?" 

Navek does indeed wave them down, as well as approach them. "Good evening, Gentlemen. I do not meant to cause excessive alarm, but I have several crimes to report. As well as request your immediate aid in resolving an unfortunate kidnapping. If you would follow me, I will tell you as much as I know as we go. We're heading just right there." Navek says, and if need be he will even relinquish his shield, mace, and spear before leading them back to the warehouse.

Of the things he informs along the way, he informs them of a deadly encounter between the Zhentarium and another group, and his comrades having found one 'Renear Noverember'. He does not intentional obfuscate the fact his group had broken in, but nor does he immediately bring it up, having favored getting the 'important' parts out of the way during the short journey.

Rin yells up to Phrael. "The authorities are coming, friend! Time for credibility and innocence."

Hearing Rin from below, Phrael would quickly grab one of the paper birds and something to write with. 

'Dear Volo,

We are hot on the trail of Floon. He was kidnapped by the Zhentarims after leaving the Skewered Dragon and then the Xanathars raided the Zhentarim's hideout, kidnapping Floon as he was mistaken for Renear Neverember. We currently have Renear with us and will keep you updated.' (49 words?)

"Volo" Phrael uttered and then watched the paper bird take off

After notifying Phrael of the approaching men of the watch, Rin does the same for Renaer. "Seems likely that you'll be answering a whole host of questions soon, lad. If I may ask one myself before the authorities arrive, do you have any notion of how to access the sewers?"

 If there was nothing else, Phrael would come downstairs and show the paper birds to Rin and Kebron before the authorities arrive. 

"I sent an update to Volo. I guess now we're going into the sewers?"

"Kebron, now you can stay in touch with all your lady friends while you're away."

Good day (says a man in his mid 40's with a stoic semblant as he raises his right hand to meet Flux's) Captain Staget (says bluntly) first and foremost I'd like to thank you for staying at the scene, we were scouting the area due to some reports of criminal activity so you might be able to help us tie some loose ends. Secondly, please let me know if someone needs immediate medical assistance.

He makes a movement targeting the warehouse and half of the watch sorrounds the building as the rest rushes to the building announcing their entrance - City Watch! -

Renear turns to the party inside the warehouse and says - Don't worry, I know the captain of the Dock Ward watch, I'll make sure to stay for their questioning so you can follow Floon's lead before it gets cold, if you need anything from me, just ask for me at the Yawning portal - 

"Of course, Captain. Anything you need. There are several dead, and two that are in rough shape. I have done what I can to treat their wounds for the time being, but some added assistance will be most welcome, nevertheless." Flux admits as he takes a look at the Parchment en-route to the warehouse. "Ah yes. I had been hoping to get hold of something like this for future reference. Me and my fellows do some freelance work around town. And one such job just so happened to lead us to a rather fortuitous circumstances. At least in so far that there kidnapped is concerned." 

As Flux read on, he grimaces, but presses forward. "Hm? Ah... here we are. Just inside." Flux said, and if allowed to, leads the way in. 

I can't remember Rin, but did you already take all the coin off the dead?

Knowing that the Dock Ward watch is soon to enter, Rin makes a quick search of the dead for any coins or items. | Investigation: 13
