Navek was also taking the body upstairs, but would come back down soon enough to help explore. There's no way they can get in trouble in just a few minutes... right? :P

So as Navek and Lorarila head upstairs they here someone yelling from just outside the open front door. "Hello! Are you guys alright in there!? The Mayor asked us to come over and help cleanup the place once you guys had managed to get it open and make sure it was safe..." You can see as you make your way around the bar that it is a tall Tiefling dressed in very expensive robe accompanied an even taller golden scaled dragon born wearing the worn and sturdy clothes of an experienced carpenter. (Anyone that is familiar with the town would know that it is Smoke, owner of Smoke's specialties (an exotic good trader)and Walt Blitzen, owner of The Rusty Nail (The village carpenters shop) It looks like you may have a little bit of a spider infestation here" The Dragonborn will say, sticking his head through the door. If it is safe, I would love to get started so I get get out of here before dark, Walt would say, looking over to Smoke. "Yes, I think we can make that happen... I brought some helpers along to make it go a little faster..." As the two of you get closer to the front door, you notice that behind him appear to be six floating empty crates, as well ten brooms with arms and legs walking behind them. "I come across a great number of spell scrolls in my line of work..." Unseen Servant and Animate Objects should help this to go rather quickly. Smoke will say with a sly grin.
Smoke and Walt listen to Sayre as she explains what happened to Mr. Leadbelly, as well as horrors each of you has faced since entering the old inn. Expressions of genuine sadness and disbelief written all across their faces. "He was a good man that shared a lot of knowledge of the world with me" Smoke will mutter, looking at the ground before his gaze moves to lock eyes with Sayre. "He will be missed.. but at least we know what happened to him and LeadBelly's can once again become an important pillar of our community once more." Walt will quickly nod in agreement. "He was a good friend of my father... He and I would talk about the future of Leadbelly's and different upgrades that he was thinking about putting in place... perhaps another time you guys could discuss those plans with me if you decide you want to modify this place to better suit its new purpose" Walt would then walk around the building and instruct his horse to bring a large empty cart to the front of the building as boxes of trash and dust are carried out and swept out of the building and dumped into the cart. The unseen servants collecting the webs and hovering out of the inn like floating balls of cotton candy. As Navek and Sayre quickly and quietly bury the remains of Mr. Leadbelly, Smoke and Walt hang their heads in respect as two of the unseen servants lower him into the ground slowly before they continued their work cleaning up the inn.
Mo and Thimbol, you start to notice the dead mice throwing themselves into boxes and the boxes hovering up the stairs as brooms walk down the stairs sweeping up dust and cobwebs.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Sayre prays to the Traveler and thinks of her mother. She wishes for a few minutes she was with her tribe again as the North wind blows. The wind rustles the tree branches above Leadbelly's fresh grave and she takes another few minutes in thw twilight before returning to the inn that she finds is a hive if activity.
Sayre tells the party she's going upstairs and moves slowly brandishing her dagger and handaxe.
As Mo goes to take a swig from the jug, a warm thick stream of mayonnaise fills his mouth (delicious)
When Thimbol enters the room to the south he sees a large mostly empty room full of old furnature that are all covered on old sheets. The room never held any kind of food so it was mainly left alone by the rats. As Thimbol enters the room to the north, he sees what appears to be the personal study of Mr. Leadbelly. carved highbacked hardwood chairs with velvet padding sit around a fireplace with bookshelves lining the walls and a chandelier in the middle of the room. There is a heavy closed door connected to that room that is unlocked. Inside the door appears to be a few special kegs of Mr. Leadbelly's finest and most expensive wine as well as a large locked safe. The safe has no key hole but does appear to have a combination dial on the front.
After the remains are buried and the cleaning is complete, Smoke and Walt will jump in the cart and haul away the mess... leaving the inn spotless and ready to be lived in. Smoke will ask that the group stop by his shop sometime soon and talk business as the cart pulls away.
As Sayre makes her way up the stairs, she finds herself in a large common area. The common area is furnished with solid and comfortable furniture. A few chairs and end tables around the fireplace and a couch as well as a few bookshelves along the wall. All the doors are open after the cleaning crew finished their work and the place appears to be spotless. There are five bedrooms that appear to have been used for customers that were each furnished with a bed, chest of drawers, and a foot locker. There is also a much much much more elaborate and larger bedroom that appears to have been used by Mr. Leadbelly himself. The last room appears to have been a wash room with a toilet and a large basin for baths and washing.
Words failed Navek. Thus, when Sayre (and presumeably Lorarila) came up and explained things, the goliath happily left things to them. His only contribution would be only to stand holding the body and nod solemnly whenever appropriate. Having spoken his prayer in the basement, he says nothing during the procession. It is not until after the burial, returns inside, and notices some of the boxes coming up from the basement that life returns to him in his hurry to check one of them.
Eventually, he gets smoke's attention long enough to request a small delay while he examine the rats and possibly the spiders. Once self-assured neither could be further harvested for a future stew, he won't put up further fuss. BUT, if they could be, he'd request for them to be left in the kitchen for him to prepare later.
Do you want me to roll anything to determine if the rat meat and spider parts are any good? (Ie. Not particularly diseased or anything) Or would be clear enough one way or another from a passing glance?
But before he became too invested, he too let the others know of his intent to be busy in the kitchen for awhile.

Lorarila was enjoying the visitors and helped what little she could to help, talking with the Dragonborn and compliment his scales. As the my finish and sees the Shopkeeps off smiling happily, and skipping through the cleaned building. Following Sayre upstairs and looking at the largest room, "I want this one, it will be great to keep books and scrolls in. I wonder what I have to do to get it?"
Walking out of the study, Thimbol made his way toward the stairs, glancing toward Mo to make sure the Goliath was alright before reaching the first floor and walking into the office. The halfling wanted to look through the letters that had been piling up now that it was confirmed Mr. Leadbelly had passed and didn't tell anyone not to look through his mail. Thimbol figured it might be useful to find a little more information about the lady that the group was supposed to deliver the ring to...and maybe find a series of numbers that might be the combination to that chest.
Navek, There are a number of rats that seem a little meatier than others that if you wanted to keep them, the unseen servants would leave them, along with the spider that you had already moved to the side to harvest the poison from.
Navek gets: 1 x crate of rat corpses in a variety of states of dismemberment. 1 x Giant spider corpse (missing its venom sack that you removed earlier... man... that poison would have probably helped against those rats... I don't think they were resistant to poison...)
Sayre and Lorarilla, there are 5 rooms of identical size and furnishings if you each just wanted one of those. Leadbellys bedroom is bigger and has nicer furnishings, and still has a lot of his clothes and other personal effects in it.
As Lorarilla enters the larger bedroom, the first thing she notices is the small of rich mahogany. A tall wardrobe stands against the wall and a large four post bed is tucked into the far corner. The posts of the bed are engraved with images of dwarves battling dragons. A beautiful red and black patterned rug covers the floor. A large heavy chest rests at the foot of the bed. The chest itself is also beautifully carved with brass inlays. Everything in the room is very tidy, you get the feeling that other than a lot of dusting, not much was done to this room to clean it up for the groups use.
Thimbol, as you inspected the large safe in the basement (it is bigger than you), you noticed that the walls this safe appear to be very thick (6in of solid steel) and it looks as though someone used some kind of spell to actually shape the stone of the basement floor to wrap around the base of the safe to prevent from being removed from the basement. (Not that it would be easy to do because of the incredible weight). You are pretty sure that with the use of your theives tools you could attempt to try to crack the combination of the safe (I would let you try once per day and you could even have help if you wanted someone to help you.
As Thimbol sifts through the letters on the desk.. quickly tearing them open and then looking very closely at what is inside... he determines that they are primarily old bills, fliers for businesses trying to sell him services, a few notes from people around town asking him to see them when he gets back from his trip. As he finishes working his way through the stack, he does remember the three letters he picked up the first time he entered the room that smelled of perfume....
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Mo takes a swig from the jug and tastes the mayo that comes out. Mo has never had mayonnaise before, and he loves it. He pours some into the dwarven mug, because he doesn't want to get too intoxicated off this strange new drink. He then watches the rat boxes float away and the brooms finish dusting, all the while sipping at his new favorite drink.

Sayre takes the room at the far end of the hallway at the right looking out over the street.
After putting her gear down she returns to the bottom floor of the inn to find Mo with his new "drink"...
"What's that," Sayre asks looking into hus mug, smelling it, and giving the gelatinous goop a cocked eyebrow!

If Lor is checking Ledbelly's i would be checking the smaller guest rooms.
