Lukian looks at the pile of items before placing them back on the counter. "I have no desire to wear such heavy armor, and I already have a longbow," he says, turning to give the quartermaster a better look at the weapon on his back.
Turning to give the quartermaster a better look at the weapon on his back
The Quartermaster who is an older man - with a hint of elvish ancestry (not sufficient to be classified as a Half-elf) - looks at the Longbow. A beautiful weapon "may I have a closer look?"

The Quartermaster runs his hands lovingly over the bow, testing its spring, etc. "a lovely weapon indeed, do you know where it was crafted and who crafted it?"

Torunn just looks bored and his eyes wonder over the stores making a mental note of the types of equipment the QM has and their quality. As items get passed on to members of his party, he is not overly impressed, thinking the crafts from his home of much superior quality.
"My honnaneth. My mother's brother, Balin, crafted it," Lukian responded. "I am honored to carry it, and I know how to use it, but it is not my preferred weapon."
The QM gives a whistle of surprise at the quality of the longsword "you know some of the officer types use weapons like this but none as good as this!"

"There are only two of immediate interest. The first are Orcs; specifically, narrowing down their location based on any and all reports Yartar has received in the recent past. The second is of the giant. As you have mentioned, you are aware of increase activity. Inquiry: But, do you know of any direction, or noteable locations that the giants have appeared be wandering to?D.O.R.K. asks
"All I know about the Orcs is that they have a camp of some sort in the Dessarin Hills to the south of Evermoor Way somewhere between here and Triboar to the west. Where exactly I don't know but I'm guessing it can't be that far from the road. As to Giants they seem to be popping up all over the place!" the Lieutenant responds.

"Then it seems we will have to simply retrace our steps, and locate the original ambush point to go from there."D.O.R.K then starts to give a salute. But realizing she hadn't necessarily picked up that one yet for Yartar, settled on simply bowing curtly to the lieutenant, and then waiting for their official dismissal out of the room.

After equipping themselves and getting whatever information they can the party makes their way out of Yartar, collects Mr G and the Goblins, and heads back west along the Evermoor Way. Despite yesterday's heavy rain they eventually find the ambush site where some sort of cart has been dragged off the main road not long before sunset.
Watches please.
(OOC: feel free to RP any questions, leaving Yartar as would be conquering heroes, as you see fit)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Ebonitus examines the issued chainmail on the way, comparing it to his scale and discusses the pros and cons with whoever in the party will listen. "I am not sure if I gained any advantage from the issue of this equipment. I do think the breastplate will be of some advantage, and the boots perhaps as well." He then inspects the weapons offered, (Investigation: 15 ) "The weaponry, is no improvement, but if it has no insignia, it may fetch a reasonable price at the markets." As they arrive at the Orc's last sighted location, he says. "I will take whatever watch is necessary, but I cannot see in the dark without light."

Devin sees the equipment issued and doesn't see anything he really wants or needs. But he is glad to see D get some good equipment.
"And what might that be" the QM asks
