OOC: Am I missing something? Because I have no idea who Esme is.
Tak surveys the city, taking note that the Cowardly Lion is located in the northeast district. The Frowning Jester, you are told, is in the south of the city.
Jevyn easily navigates the narrow alleys and cobblestone streets for about half a mile, until his memory fails him and he takes a right when he should have taken a left. And when you are navigating a city as large as The God's Hope, one mistake can be costly. Jevyn now stands outside a disreputable-looking antiques shop as he contemplates his next move.

OOC: Esme is Jevyn's familiar that is currently in the shape of a raven that was delivering a message to someone. I think it's on the first page of this forum. Is Tak able to see Jevyn or would that be a separate perception since I was looking at just the location of the Cowardly Lion?
If separate roll: Tak, seeing the rest of the party has made it out of the inn looks for Jevyn. Perception: 21

"Well then. I guess my best move would be to ask for directions," Jevyn muttered to himself as he stepped inside the antiques shop. Letting his eyes adjust to the dim interior, he looked around for a clerk of some kind, with one hand on his purse and the other on his spellbook.
Perception:12 [Assuming that's what's needed.]
[I figured that the interior of the shop would be darker than the inside, so I thought that might be a nice touch to add.]
Shiv, once outside will ask every single person that walks past the same question until he gets an answer... "Hey! You know where to find The Frowning Jester?... how about you? Hey Hey you know about the The Frowning Jester?

It is indeed dark and gloomy inside the shop, the only light coming from a lantern hanging from a chain in the ceiling. A gnome with an untrustworthy aspect sits behind a desk piled high with items and trinkets doubtfully acquired, scribbling something down on a scroll. He looks up when Jevyn enters, and his eyes inspect the hongoblin minutely, as if sizing him up.ng
The shop is filled almost to the roof with items of all kinds vying for dominance amidst the clutter and chaos. Jevyn finds clay pots, lanterns, clocks, dusty books, cloaks, rusted daggers of ornate workmanship, and a variety of other objects.
"Welcome friend, welcome!" Says the gnome in a nasally voice. "If I may be of assistance in any way, please do not hesitate to ask."
Shiv, once outside will ask every single person that walks past the same question until he gets an answer... "Hey! You know where to find The Frowning Jester?... how about you? Hey Hey you know about the The Frowning Jester?
Most passersby just stare at the energetic viashno, while a few of the friendlier ones point southward silently and move along quickly.

"I'm just looking for directions to the Frowning Jester. An aquaintance told me he wanted to meet there." Jevyn glanced at a few of the books along the walls, seeing if there were any of interest.
The books are as varied as the items surrounding them, but you find several of interest. There is a book written by a dwarf who claims to have been to the Abyss, a very rare find due to the fact that he died in poverty two months after writing it. Another book is titled "Most Hideous and Terrible Monsters", an ancient book written over a thousand years ago. A third book is about necromancy spells, written in Infernal, and another a book of halfling fairy tales.
When Jevyn declares that he is not interested in buying, the gnome becomes openly hostile. "I can't help you." He says coldly. " I'm trying to run a busniess here. "
Sighing, Jevyn pulled the book about necromancy and placed it in front of the gnome. "I take it that means if I buy something, you'll give me directions, yes?"

Leaves hadn't finished her meal before her allies had gone running madly into the streets, leaving their self proclaimed scout and pathfinder behind.
"Fooooools!" She squawked. Showing up in mid-day having shouted all around the city asking directions wasn't the most stealthy approach...
The Kenku promptly flapped off in after Shiv. Unlike her allies she had actually bothered to read a map of the city, and her Kenku mind remembered everything in photographic detail.
Action: Use survival to guide the group to the frowning jester before Shiv enrages an angry mob.

The volatile gnome brightens up immediately. "Of course, of course. Now, for the book... shall we call it ten gold pieces?"

Leaves is able to successfully navigate the city, and within the hour you are standing outside the Frowning Jester. If the name hadn't already tipped you off, the grimy windows, stone-faced bouncers, and and dark interior indicate this tavern to be a place of some disrepute.
Shiv will not nod to the bouncers and attempt to walk past and enter the building "Corpse is expecting us friends!" He will say to the bouncers, flicking his tongue between his fangs before bouncing past and entering the tavern.
Unsurprisingly, the bouncers move to block your path.
"No admittance without authorization." One of them says. You get the feeling that the man has no idea what the words mean, but he is told to say them nonetheless. The other bouncer enters the tavern, no doubt to confirm that you are indeed expected. He returns a moment later and nods to his companion, and they step aside to let you pass.
The tavern is dark, the only light coming from a few torches in the walls, and bitterly cold. The patrons, however, dressed in long black cloaks and with their faces hidden in shadow, don't seem to mind the chill. The barkeep, a tiny man with shifty eyes, silently leads the way to a back room behind the bar. You enter into a surprisingly lavish room, complete with red velvet armchairs, a bearskin rug, a sidetable with a bottle of wine and several wineglasses, and a roaring fire. There are four occupants in the room when you arrive: a giant of a man, both very fat and very muscular, who stands at six and a half feet tall and almost as wide; Corpse, the albino tiefling, who looks very at ease as he reclines on an armchair, wineglass in hand; and two bodyguards who flank the huge man, their expressions identical to the bouncers.
Corpse rises from his chair. "Friends, welcome! I am so pleased you could make it this evening. I trust you had no trouble finding your way here?" Without waiting for a response, he continues. "This is Mr. Slaine. He has been very eager to make your acquaintance."
Slaine nods his head, his expression unreadable. He does not seem in any hurry to announce his intentions.
Jevyn tried to hide his contempt as he pulled out 10 gold pieces from his coin purse. "Now can I please get directions to the Frowning Jester? I'm in a bit of a rush."
"Tak, while you're up there, let me know if you Esme returning," Jevyn called up to his fellow adventurer. "Now let's see if I can find this place."

I believe Jevyn is scouting out the location alone, and the rest of the party will follow shortly.

Even with your birds eye view of the city, you cannot see Jevyn. You assume that this is because he has entered a building.
