Leon identifies what appears to be the safest, most defensible portion of the tunnel, however it's not unlike the rest of the tunnel that comes from the fungal jungle and leads to the intersection that Rowland noted. It should serve as well as any and better than some.
"Well boys we are in the belly of the beast now. Let us try and take as long of a rest as possible. This seems like the most defensible position. Elmo your on first watch right? Rowland you mind going after and then Mikey. Grem and I can take last watch once out divine energy has recharged."
Telepathically to Dawnbringer
"Do you mind helping them on their watches or do you need your beauty sleep as well? I don't want to overwork you."
"Sounds like a right plan leon, before I turn in though (a twinkle in his eye) I be thinking we may need some more help.. give me about 10 minutes lads"
Grem will walk back a bit from the encampment and draw in the dirt the sign of moradin and pray. He'll cast find steed and get razorgouge on deck
“Rest well, Leon and regain your strength. I will provide whatever aid I can to our allies on watch. Would you prefer that I stay ablaze to provide sunlight or merely use my senses to stay alert for enemies approaching?”
From Gremryl Stonebreaker's prayers, Razorgouge is summoned to the Prime Material Plane! He immediately charges Gremryl and nearly barrels him over if it weren't for the hearty Dwarf being ready for the oncoming charge. Grabbing him fiercely and with great strength, the two reunite once more, giving away the near-kinship they share as battle-hardened comrades.
(What are Gremryl's standing orders for Razorgouge?)
Gougy you old lout! Ye been lazy long enough! (Nodding at elmo). Master elmo be having some meats for ye! Listen I will be taking a bit if a nap, stand guard with each one of the lads till I get up eh! Glad ye back.. oh we dealt with those nasty drow who tried to make ye into a pork roast! Buabaha...
Standing order is to stand guard and assist anyone awake till we get up.
To elmo: aye old gougy can sniff out a meal from there caves over, so I think we may be able.to find this dam derro... we will see in the morning lad.
"Gougy old boy!" Elmo hold's out a hand full of pocket meats. "You're a good lad! Aye'nt ya!" Elmo gets on his toes and scratches Goug'ys chest. "Im going to be over there if ye need me. Ill be hiding, but I imagine ye will be able to smell me well enough. If something attacks us in our sleep, ye engage with the bugger and Ill kill it from the shadows. Sound good mate?"
To Grem before hiding for his watch, "Fine pig ye got there mate."
"Master elmo...ah...eh...(in a loud whisper) he doesnt like being called a pig.. its insulting.. like calling ye a gnomish dandy...razor has feelings ye know.."
Gougy at first feels joy and takes comfort that his master, Gremryl is in good company of capable adventurers. At the sound of “pig”, the mighty boar paws at the ground restlessly and snorts at Elmo... or until Elmo corrects his words does Gougy settle down a bit and not until more of Elmo’s pocket meats come his way does the mighty boar seem to show forgiveness in his eyes towards the offensive language.
The party rests, and each take their turn to watch over the others. Distantly in the tunnels, sounds of scratching and other unsettling noises make it clear to those on watch that they are indeed, not alone in this place. No creatures come close to the encamped group, yet safety is not a luxury anyone believes they have here.
"Well gentlemen, it sounds like we're not alone here. I heard sounds coming the fork in the tunnel ahead to the right. The tracks lead left. Shall I stealth scout ahead and attempt to find out the source of the sounds? Or do we all just want to sneak past and continue following the tracks to the left?"
"You and I know the value of getting a fine read on things Mr Black. I think ye should scout ahead and let us know what we be walking into. Please take this as a complement mate, but as somebody who is used to being the one who can go unseen, and the one who scouts, I am in awe of ye abilities mate. Perhaps ye could teach me how to become as a shadow like ye been doing?"
"Be glad to friend once we're out of this dank hole, although certain skills I have my heritage to thank for. I'll go ahead a short ways and investigate the noises."
If nobody objects, Rowland intends to scout the fork in the tunnel and determine what is causing the noises.
To the right, Rowland sneaks up to a group of Carrion Crawlers who appear to be feasting on a dead creature of unrecognizable race...backing away slowly from the occupied enemies, Rowland scouts out the other direction of the tunnel.
The tracks continue onward hundreds of feet and a dim light that Rowland recognizes as the Faezress begins to lighten the tunnel. It appears that the tunnel continues on a ways farther. Also, there may be a source of water nearby as some of the rocks appear to be wet.

Elmo readies some of his lesser pocket meats to feed Gougy.
