Flare, disappointed in the damage he has done to the locked door will nod to Aegean as the light at the end of his warhammer flickers out and immediately begins to light up the tip of Aegean's dagger.
Disappointed in the lack of damage to the door from Flare's axe, Aegean heads down the first corridor they found from the door he opened, taking the first branch.
Sarras having followed quietly for some time now speaks up upon entering the small room. hrm, I don't like the sound of that clanging we have in here. feeling a bit uneasy Sarras draws the great axe across his back. Having seen Aegean find the door he says you know, I'd feel a lot better doubling back on this one.
Aegean shrugs at Sarras. "Somethings gotta happen at some point. Might as well see what's here before we go start exploring other directions." With that said, he checks the door for any traps he can find (investigation: 21), then if he doesn't find any, tries to open the door, keeping himself behind the door itself in case anything comes through (if it opens towards him, or pushing it open and stepping to the side behind the wall if it opens into the room)
(I figure opening a door with an ominous clanging will probably get us to something happening faster than going back and exploring various random other corridors :P. For better or for worse)
Aegean backtracks along the corridor starting at the blank wall searching for any other exits or anything else of interest with the help of his familiar. 18
"Guess it's a dead end," Aegean says, then leads the way back to where they entered the corridor (from the corridor out of the main room where it split with 2 different options going off to the left). "Keep an out out again," he says, before sitting with his back to the wall once again, eyes going milky white. Taking control of his familiar, he uses the cat to explore down the second corridor until it reaches a dead end or has to open doors to continue. He then takes it back to the starting room and explores the corridor they found behind the second door on the east wall. Once it's explored that corridor as far as possible, his eyes go back to normal and he stands back up, reporting tot he others what he found.
The corridor travels due west, two doors on the right, and then cuts south and ends at another door. The second door on the east wall leads south down a long, seemingly endless corridor. Just as the cat is about to turn back it hears... voices, coming from behind a half-open wooden door.
Aegean, or rather his cat, is suddenly startled by two figures, a hulking orc and a human wizard, striding forth from behind the wooden door. They are surprised to see what appears to be an ordinary house cat in a gladiatorial dungeon, and they look between each other in confusion.
As soon as he sees the figures, Aegean's eyes clear as he lets the link to his familiar die. At the same time, he dismisses his familiar, causing the cat to vanish. He stands and resummons the cat at his feet. "Down the corridor int he east wall from the first room, there was an open door. A large orc and a human wizard came out of it. I say we go give them a "warm welcome" to our side of the dungeon. Target the wizard first." He leads the way back to the first room, keeping a Frostbite ready to cast if anyone appears in front of them.

The corridor continues due south for about 100 feet, and ends abruptly. To your left, eastwards, is a simple wooden door.

Flare would follow aegean and then head over and open the simple wooden door.
It is a small room, with no discernable exits. A mural depicting vile and bloody acts covers the ceiling, and a clanking noise fills the air.

Perhaps we could get a little more activity in this thread. Some of the other groups have already seen combat.

Aegean enters the room and searches for any hidden doors or other exits, or the source of the clanking.

(I can definitely post more often if you want. I've been trying not to go too crazy to give the others chances to do stuff that they might want to)
I understand. Thats a considerate thought, but I think the party will benefit from your taking the lead.
Aegean searches the room and discovers a secret iron door in the north wall, hidden behind a sarcophogus.

I am totally fine with you taking the lead. I love to RP but in dungeon settings I have found I am better at reacting than leading lol!

Beyond is a brightly lit, torch-lined corridor which turns north, east, south, east again, and then north, ending before a blank stone wall.

Neither Aegean nor his familiar can find any exits.

Done, let's go. Sarras runs off down the corridor towards the foes.
