Your party travels south, from the higher-class part of town to the major roads intersection, then a bit east to the Portly Warthog. On entering, you are greeted by a halfling. (Iskander wonders why she is shouting at them, then realizes this is her normal conversation voice.) "Ah, the town messenger just left. The rooms are filling up for the upcoming festival, good that your rooms are reserved and paid up. I was surprised when they said five rooms. Your quiet elf friend checked out rather quickly. But I see you have another member to your party.
"What's your name?" (Iskander does not have a chance to respond.) "Sign your name in the ledger. Mine is Gerdy. I'm the day manager for the wonderful Portly Warthog!
"Before I forget, your friend wrote a note and asked that your group gets it." Gerdy hands Reverie the note, and it is passed around for all to read.
"My newfound friends, with regrets, I must leave your company. I have not told you before, but I have no memories from before I was found at the Harbor of Nunkreet, some years ago. The brine scent of the bay as we traveled today has stirred up images, from before then. Floating in the ocean, clinging to a bit of driftwood... and then a worn ship smelling of fish, silver coins, and blood... with a beat-up flag, black with the white silhouette of a flightless bird with a wedge-shaped beak. I feel compelled to find this ship. If I am fortunate, maybe our paths will cross again.
"Your fighting companion, Theren"
Your group heads to your rooms to unpack and change into common clothes. A bucket of heated water and towels are brought to give you a chance to clean off. Your party meets in the inn's dining room for beef & bacon stew, seasonal vegetables, and pumpernickel bread. The waiter takes your drink order, and brings it promptly. (A reminder that the room payment included breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The first two rounds of drink are covered, but you'll have to pay after that.)

Isk starts off saying, "Khay-" before being cut off, "Very well, Gerdy, nice to meet you and wonderful this establishment is!" he adds, signing his name and looking around the inn.
After Isk sits down he practically dives into his food bowl, shoveling the stew into his mouth and take a long draft of whatever drink was poured. He suddenly realizes what he's doing, stops, and says, "My apologies friends, it's been quite a while since I've had a hot meal." He continues to eat and drink, with a little more poise than before.
Froskan grins as Isk dives into his meal, though the grin turns a bit sickly as he considers the reason the other man is so eager. He sits down with his own meal and digs in as well.
Jack looks at the note, surprised. He kinda just sits there for a second, until talking.”Thank you, ma’am. Reverie, I think I should carry the note as a reminder of our companion. I do have the bag of infinite storage, after all.”
Jack politely eats his things. He has manners, after all.
Reverie tries her best not to show a slightest of sadness as she reads a note since she didn't get to say goodbye to her companion. He didn't have a memory of himself but founds himself at the Nunkreet. "Yes, I wish he could find what he has been looking for." She says at Trimyrai. After sitting on the table, her eyes shift to see Jack and chuckles, "Of course, you can have his note. For some reason, I have a feeling we might going to see him again." Then Reverie gives him a note from Theren.
Her eyes look back at Isk and then shakes her head with a smile. "Eat while as you can." Then she starts to eat her meals while she looks at Trim with a chuckle. "Yes, we do."

(Hah, actually forgot I had that trait. They can get hard to keep track of across multiple characters when games are stretched out like they are on PBP)
Froskan ponders the note while he eats. "I wish he'd said something to use before he left. Sounds like something we might have been able to help search for!"
“Doubt ye want to be searching for a ship in this time. With Sahuagin and slave traders and..., other. Deadly sea creatures, a ship is most likely to sink. But ye’re right. We need to find him before he dies. Or sees something he doesn’t want to see. I mean, sea.” Jack gives off a slight chuckle at his joke
The dining room starts to fill up as the town shops close at dusk. You notice that most of the gossip in the room involves the rescued prisoners, even though you only gave testimony a few hours ago. Some of the patrons seem wary of you, being new adventurers in town. Others, especially the local fishermen, are pleased at the news of what your party did. A few seconds after Iskander wonders about the whiskeys in the tavern, five glasses of whiskey are dropped on the table by your server. Another group of adventurers across the room smile at your group, and raise their own glasses in salute.
(You overhear one of the nearby group of townies: "I hear they wiped out a dozen harpies that same morning!" "No way!" They huddle and whisper after they realize how loud they were getting.)

Trimyrai: (to Jack) "Manners are typically shown and done when one is a guest or is entertaining guests, or is in a social situation above the common man. Since we are in both a public and casual setting dropping manners over a practicality is reasonable, and not diminishing on Isk's character. If you really think you have that much more manners than people might suspect that you are a snob, or a noble trying to pass as a commoner."
Trimyrai looks over to the townies talking about the party. Trimyrai says with a smile, Trimyrai: (to the townies) "I'm more than willing to share the tale with all of you if you really wish to know."

“Ah, please!” Jack jumps up and introduces himself to the people (I love personality traits!) “let me tell ye what happened! Ok. So, there we were, surrounded, by... maybe... 59 of them! Yeah! But Froskan, being the cool guy he is, decided to breathe Ice into their faces! About 10 fell. So, 49 left, outnumbered. But they didn’t expect something. I played my drum!” Jack plays a little tune. ”and about 25 fell to the floor, ears bleeding. That’s Shatter. Now, Trim there, the grumpy tiefling, was so inspired by this, he took out a bow and shot it! Of course, only ricocheted off of a wall, me armor, Reverie’s sword, and killed 5 of them. So. 19 left, and Reverie finished them all off with a bang!” drum bang “a swish!“ sword swing “and they all fell! That’s how we killed 59 harpies, in less than 40 seconds too.”
Froskan raises his glass back at the group that sent them the whiskey, then chuckles as he hears the comment about harpies. "Apparently we're famous now."
Reverie raises a glass towards the group of adventurers with a smile and gratitude. Then, she listens to Jack's rhythmic words before she could laugh a little. "It seems so," she replies to Froskan with a chuckle, "and, yes, you did say Trimyrai killed five of them. Also, my goodness. Did I kill 19 of them like that? It sounds like I am powerful, Jack. Iskandar helped us a lot also."

But you notice that the gossip in the background no longer talks about a dozen harpies. It is now 4 dozen harpies.
