"Question: Is the blue lines on this a river? And why do ye have a falcon in flight on everything?"
(The blue line from the Squall Mountains going southwest to the ocean, labeled "Evergreen River", is a river. The blue wavy lines on the left side indicate ocean.
The silver falcon in flight is the symbol of the Watchful Guild.)

Reverie Forestgleam—Human Paladin Level 5 in Frontier City of Nunkreet Extremely busy and busy as ever recently, but I will trying to catch up as much as I can
The party heads east on a road that connects with the Primus Road, then makes excellent time, going NE 20 miles by mid-afternoon. There is a fair amount of traffic around the city, but that thins out to almost nothing as the hours pass. You notice the dirt-pebble road heading north, with a travel sign next to it: "Greensville --> ". You follow that path. There is more wildlife activity than normal, but all of the animals stay far away from your group. With winter almost here, these beasts are moving south for warmer temperatures.
By late afternoon, you've gone 5 miles north. The area is mostly flat grasslands, with the occasional low hill or copse of trees and brush. About 5 miles to the west you can see the beginnings of a large forest. This spot seems to be a popular resting area, as you see a ring of stones placed to form a fire pit, and the traces of previous camping.
(I'll need to know what the plan is for the group. Were you going to chase after the lizard, hide & watch the area, or something else? You have another hour or two before dusk. Could do more now, during the night, or wait until morning.)

Reverie starts to look around, using her Divine Sense, as Trimyrai begins to track the creature. As she finds the traces of previous camping with a fire pit, her blue-green eyes shifts to her friends. She is okay to continue to track down the creature, but the night would be dangerous. "Are we going to hunt during the night or are you all prefer to stay until the morning?"
(I am all right for anything. Reverie can track down this creature during the night, or she can stay and wait for the morning. Since this lizard creature is dangerous, I'd prefer to hide and watch o.o)

Trimyrai: (to Reverie and Froskan) "its a bit early to make camp, but if you do not wish to hunt i won't make you. I'm gonna search for a bit more before turning in for the night."
(its not even dusk yet so it shouldn't be that dark [feel free to correct me dm])

DMing "Gallia Campaign 1".
Looking for a new game, if you need a player private message me.
(not sure if i only needed one, so i did both. or let me know if i need to do a perception roll also.)
(Usually one roll. If you did a Survival, and I decide you need Nature, then I will still take your first roll and check your character sheet to see if the modifier is different.)
Reverie does not detect any unusual presences in the 60' radius. The campfire remnants appear to be from people traveling between Greensville and Nunkreet, that decided this was a convenient spot to stop. (You find the odd tin fork, scrap of parchment, piece of an iron ration, broken horseshoe nail, etc.)
Trim looks around, but it has been a few days since the merchant's donkeys were attacked. Other tracks and the weather have covered up any clues. He doesn't see tracks that would be big enough for the spike-tailed lizard... but then again, he doesn't see any tracks that might have been from any kind of large predator.
The WG scout reported seeing the lizard when he was almost entering the forest. That is five miles to the west. Your party could go closer to the forest, but that also means you won't find as good a campsite to stop for the night.

(would a "bad" campsite give us some sort of penalty?)
(By "good" I mean that there is enough traffic that most animals have learned to stay away, that the spot has decent sight lines, and some protection from the elements. A "bad" campsite might mean, for example, if it rains you will get thoroughly soaked and chilled, or that the chances of an animal attack go up.)
