"And what.." The fighter spins the lady away and pulls her back into hold seconds later "am I telling you now?" As they continue across the floor he leans in "I pride myself on my self-control, it would hurt me deeply to realise that I give all my secrets away so easily."

Vhon - Level 2 Warlock - What shall become of the Drunken Sailor?
Mathilda tries hard not to mess up the steps, but almost trips over her own feet. He's here! She keeps trying to look at him whenever she can as she finishes the dance. When the musics stops before the next song, she gives him a shy smile, unsure again if she can approach him surrounded by the other nobles. Clearly he has a right to be here, whereas I... but I do want to talk to him! Playing with the hem of her sleeve, she keeps looking over at the group he is standing with and tries to assess if they think she is a noble lady or if they are looking at her with disdain.
"It would be my pleasure," Kyne replies, bending slightly at the waist and offering Supai his hand. When she takes it, he guides her to the floor, and the two of them join the pairs of dancing couples.
"Oh do not worry... " says her while leaning on Lyreis's right arm with the spin " It's only giving away the interesting ones..."
While Mathilda asks herself if she should approach or not, is Lord Thrinderand who approaches her. Some people looks at him and pay more attention to the woman that he is talking to.
He bows and ask with a grin.
"May I have the honor of the next dance with you? If your friend doesn't mind of course... " he says looking at Hurosk.
Hurosk glances to the side to see what has got Mathilda's attention. "It's hard to say," he finally says in reply to her question. "Sometimes it is hard to change your stripes. However, given the time his type can live," he nods his head to the side toward the silvery vampire, "I would imagine they would be better at it than most."
He slows their pace as Thinderand approaches. "Well, I'm sure she won't mind, but wouldn't we make quite the pair! What would your friends say?!" He emits a deep belly laugh and smiles widely, allowing his lower tusks to protrude a bit more than normal. He turns to Mathilda and gives her a wink. Maintaining hold of one one of her hands, he waits for the woman to decide for herself.
The vampire looks at Hurosk and, for the very first time since they know him, he seems surprised. He blinks a couple of times and he starts to laugh. A deep, honest, fun laugh that makes that even more people look at them. Some even chuckle due to the laughs, even if they don't know what the joke was.
He puts a hand in Hurosk's shoulder.
"May Dol Arrah bless you. It has been decades, literally "he adds in a whisper that only Hurosk and Mathilda can hear " that I didn't laugh in that way."
At Hurosk's answer, Mathilda gives him a grateful smile. When she looks over again, she sees Thrinderand coming towards them. She can't help herself from blushing again and sheepishly looks over to the other nobles, worried that she is being judged. However, when Hurosk makes his joke and the vampire lord laughs, her mood lightens and she decides not to worry too much about what the other guests may think of her. Taking Thrinderand's offered hand, she says: "You may."
As they dance, she asks him: "So will I ever see you again after tonight? It seems my friends and I are headed for quite an adventure, we're leaving town soon and we might have to travel very far from here..."
It's always hard for Mathilda to read his expresions but he looks sad for her words.
"I would lie to you if my desire is for you to stay longer, but I will not dare to ask such a thing. Nor to talk about it anymore. Not while we dance. Do you think that your friends could join us in private after the party? Good, then now, forget about adventures, journeys and everything else. Let us just enjoy this dance, shall we?"
Mathilda is barely aware of it, but while they dance, little by little, the rest of the couples stops and let them dance alone. His steps are nimble, his grasp firm and more than dancing is like the are flying across the room.
Hursok see them dancing and thinks to himself that he didn't so bad himself.
Kyne:
"Let's skip the next dance so we can talk... shall we? " says Kyne's couple when the music stops. They head for one quiet corner and they take some drinks from one of the passing trays she takes a sip and chuckels " That was a nice dance... you've earned your history. Supai was the Godness of Death in an ancient and lost Xen'dric civilitation. " starts to explain her couple to Kyne " The myths say that she was the consort of Texkutlian, the God of Sun and Life, but that she refused to stay idle when a great danger menanced their people. Against the orders of her husband, she meddle with the mortal affairs, giving their followers great powers and weapons against the invader forces of another empire. The resulting war lasted for decades and the dead piled in both sides of the conflict. As punishment for causing too much pain and death she was expelled her from Heaven and her dominion were only pain, suffering and death. Angry for the treatment the other Gods gave to her, she turned into a big, venous snake that thought only in eat all the creation... "she gives a few moments for him to absorb all the history "now you still think it's beauty?"
Lyreis as the next dance is about the start the woman says.
"Would you like to give your mouth a chance to tell me more things about you? or would you like to dance a little bit more... "
Hurosk releases the hand of his dance partner. "You have fun now," he says with a slight bow to thank her for the dance. He then returns back to the table for more ale and food.
While surveying the table again, his keen senses detect something a bit floral, but pungent and earthy as well. The half-orc finds a curious dish of thin noodles and fish in a thick golden-orange broth. He dips a fork in for a sample and is quite pleased with his find. After filling his plate and grabbing another goblet of ale, he turns to watch the show.
Guiding the woman in blue towards the window where they first met Lyreis answers her "Despite all my years of life I find there is little I wish to tell of, at least to someone with such captivating eyes and with the airs of mystery that come with a masked ball. Instead I would rather hear of you, who you are and what you dream of, than speak of the war and the life of a soldier, for it is who I am even if it is not who I may become."

She blushes "Or just... attention..." she adds in low voice. Kyne notice that she looks uncousnciously towards the two bodyguards that stand just at the verge of the dancing floor keeping a watchful eye on them.
Near the window Lyreis and the woman in the blue dress continue talking.
"I am Ryn "she says, there is some slight change on her pornunciation that gives it kind of musical quality to the name" And I dream to come back to my home. " she looks towards the window again, then turns her eyes again towards Lyries's. " Who you want to become? I am curious..."
Hurosk enjoys his plate of food and the ale and he suddenly notices that there are some members of the staff that aren't serving drinks or attending the tables, by their dememeaor it seems that they are keeping watch or looking for something or someone.
After the dance Lord Thrinderand guides Mathilda apart and offers her a cup of red wine that is passing on a floating tray.
Hurosk continues with his plate of food as he keeps one eye on the mildly peculiar staff. He finishes his plate and contemplates getting another, however, his curiosity - survival instincts - get the better of him and wanders towards the service entrance to the kitchen and catches one of the staff. "You're working too hard around here," he says in a low tone but with a smile of someone enjoying a few drinks. "Maybe you could get those other to give to a hand." He nods slightly to a couple of the figures.
Mathilda takes a few small sips from her wine. It tastes very different from the cheap wine she is used too, smoother and less acrid. "Uhm, I'm not sure actually, I think the plan was to leave tomorrow, possibly in the morning. Do you just want to say good bye to everyone or why are we meeting later?" She looks around, making sure she still knows where everyone is and what they are doing.
"I am curious too Ryn. I am no longer sure. I wanted greatness, I guess I still do, but recent events are making me think that to excel is not enough, that the goal must be for good ends, not just the pursuit of victory and acclaim. But if you dream of returning home, you must tell me where that is, are you far from your lands?"Lyreis looks down at the woman in her beautiful attire wondering what answers she will give.

The woman sighs "Really far from it yes... I wonder if I would be able to return someday..."she replies to Lyreis. "But.. you say that the goal should be good ends and not just a vain pursue of glory. That's laudable but, wouldn't your good deeds report more acclaim for those who benefit of them? That way you would attain both goals, don't you?"she smiles showing that she don't pretend to make fun of him just to talk and perhaps cheer him up with another point of view.
"I wanted to thank you and your friends your help. You did really well back in potato island..." even that name sounds great when he pronounces it. " but I will make it fast, if this is going to be our last night together... I would like to spent most of it with you... alone." Mathilda sees his grin and catches the intention under his words.
The servant looks first to Hurosk, then to one of the figures that he points out. " I don't think so. They came tonight claiming that the owner had asked for more security tonight. Something about some jewels dissapearing lately.. I don't know. They are a bunch of prepotent hired swords if you ask me.". The servant shrugs and continue with his work.
"Oh they are always nearby... It seems that... Supai's father doesn't trust her.. " Kyne can feel the regret in that last sentence.
In one of the secondary rooms of the Golden Sphynx, Moltaris is alone with her thoughts in the darkness, the sounds of the musci and people laughing came muffled from her right, where the main ball room is. Then she hear a loud thud and two people talking on the hallway to her left. They are trying to keep it quiet but they haven't noticed she is there.
"Careful now.. don't spill it. We will need all of it."
"I told you to wait. I am used to carry prayer books, not barrels "
"Hush... we must hurry, the others must be in position by now.."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Maybe, but there feels like there is something in the world right now that I must be part of because it needs to be done, whether or not it will bring me acclaim." He sees her smile and understands her intention behind it "You should tell me where you are from. If I do not know I will not know to look for you there if I find myself in that place, and I would not want this to be the last time I see you." Looking out of the window Lyreis turns slightly from Ryn his visual focus on the world outside for a moment but all his other senses trying to read her.
