"The monetary rewards for fighting the goblins sound attractive," the Herr Doktor Professor says, "but I agree with Rock that we should deal with the Redbrands first.
"The thought that these Redbrands would sell women and children into slavery disturbs me profoundly," he adds, shaking his head.
"But we should also consider the tactical situation. This town of Phandalin would make a suitable base of operations for striking out at these goblins, bugbears, and orcs, but only if we secure it first. We might return victorious from this Castle Cragmaw, only to be ambushed by the Redbrands and this Nothic.
"I believe we should secure Phandalin town before looking for Castle Cragmaw and rescuing our dwarven friend."
Glynquinal not being a fan of leaving open problems to stab at their backs later nods in agreement, "I like the idea of wrapping up what may be left of any Redbrands clearing the entire town of them. Then we have a good safe and stable place to operate from. After that I think we need to take whatever tasks come our way as long as they pay us well."
Ian to the redbrand My friend here speaks truth. You will show us the way. If you or we are seen, you are dead. If you lie to us, or try to trap us, I'll kill you myself.
OOC Ian is not trying to intimidate or use a menacing voice or anything. Ian speaks truth, and speaks it plainly. He is speaking to the redbrand matter factly, not trying to scare him with false bravado.

Herr Doktor:
He seems to be telling the truth.
Gruxx:
He is lying through his teeth! You can tell he definitely doesn't want to go and is trying to find a way to convince you to let him stay, but he either doesn't have a family to harm or doesn't really consider them in any harm.
Gruxx peers down angrily at the Redbrand. "You dare lie to me of having your family in danger? You know nothing of the worry I have everyday being away from my family and clan. I am normally peaceful but if you do not take us I will kill you myself and make a new belt out of your entrails."
Glynquinal laughs out loud hearing Gruxx, "If you think he's lying, you should see his favorite 'hat', that used to belong to someone named Klarg. You'd best do everything you can to make sure he doesn't decide he needs something else fashionable."
The Herr Doktor Professor puts a reassuring hand on the Redbrand's arm.
"I am a trusting sort," he says, smiling, "which is why I am inclined to believe what others tell me."
Then his smile turns hard, and he grips the Redbrand's arm tightly.
"That is why I am also inclined inclined to believe what my partymates say. If Gruxx says you are lying, I trust his judgment. You have forfeited our trust by lying to us, perhaps to betray us to your comrades.
"If you'd rather not have Gruxx wear your entrails as a belt, I suggest you do exactly what he says."

Ian to all, I agree. Why dont we have our friend here escort us.
To the redbrand Why dont you tell me if are any secret ways in to your hideout? Ian leans in closer I'll know if youre lying...

Glynquinal also queries his friends, "Speaking of said payment when do we want to divide what we have earned?"
Rock agrees with Glyn, "Lets also see the smith and get some cuffs for our friend here so he can not pull any funny business, as he guides us!"
"I'll tell you how to get in, but I'm not going with you. If they see me with you, they'll kill me!" the Redbrand argues.
"Then make sure you aren't seen and neither are we. It would seem your life depends on it" Glynquinal tells the Redbrand.

"I hope you know how to move quietly! Haha!" Gruxx says to the Redbrand.
The Redbrand shakes his head some more. "I can't go with you. I can't. They'll kill me. They'll ... they'll kill my family."
The Herr Doktor Professor will make Insight check to determine if the Redbrand is lying: 12.
If he seems honest, the bard will suggest that the Redbrand shows them the way, afterwards the party will let him go.
Glynquinal will sign to Ian in Thieves Cant "When the opportunity comes, we need to close all loose ends"
Glynquinal says to the party. "Are we we ready to move on then? We have business to tend to here."
"Aye"
Gruxx peers at the Redbrand to try to determine if he is lying about having a family.
