The sharp, nasally voice which cuts in on your examination comes from a tall, thin man. This is Oswald the Coroner, in town to investigate the mysterious death of Ser Thames and collect his final taxes. He has enlisted your help in apprehending the murderer, but you suspect he is more interested in the gold then the truth.
"well, there is a blood trail leading from the body to the bar. I suggest we check there. other then that we know he died by a slash across chest." Cornelius walks towards the bar cautiously.
(There have been several local murders recently, the most notable being the death of Ser Thames. You can make up your own sory explaining your partnership with Oswald and your reasons for being in town.)
The bloody trail leads behind the inn, suggesting that the fell deed was accomplished in the alley and the corpse dragged into the town square by the murderer.
