Humphry will spend the rest of his time buying two daggers (4gp) and spending the time and money on ink and paper to copy the spells Identify, Enlarge/Reduce, Detect Magic, and Comprehend Languages to his spellbook from the scrolls he had just bought [250gp].
(You can just use the emerald. I was adding a little flavor)
(Cool just wanted to be sure before I spent the gold on it :))
"Thanks, that'll do nicely," Aegean says as he hands over the gold for the emerald. "I could use a few healing potions as well." he hands over another 150g for 3 healing potions.
After getting the potions, Aegean heads over to the bookstore and asks how much it would cost to get scrolls of Fireball, Counterspell, and Mirror Image
(I bought the spell scrolls for 150gp, but then I copied 3 of the spells from the level one scrolls and 1 spells from the level 2 scrolls which cost me an additional 250gp. [the cost of copying a spell into you spellbook from another source is 50gp per spell level: three level 1s; one level 2 -> 50 + 50 + 50 + 100 = 250] So the total cost of this spell scroll venture was 400gp for me)

OK, now I understand. Thanks for the clarification.
Finding the armor he wanted, he pays the smith 45 gp for it (phb price), and heads over to the Hub, slapping down a set of padded leather armor on a table and looking around expectantly. The armor gleams with a slight magical reinforcement. He seems ready to trade, or at least to entertain offers.

And wizards can copy them into their spellbooks.
Thanks!

So is there a price set for them?
"The lot for one hundred and fifty gold pieces. " The halfling says.

(Should’ve known when I ran back muahahaha)
"Oh. Well. D-d-d-don't mind if I do" Humphry deposits the gold with the halfling, taking his books and scrolls with him.

Aegean hands over 50g for the scrolls, then decides he's done shopping.
(The Hub is just for trades between player characters right?)

Seldor heads over to the Smithy. "Hello, do you have Studded Leather armor?"
