As Gereon sits down the men at the table clamp up and look at each other nervously. "Oh, I don't know my lord. Two maybe four nights ago. That's all I heard, I swear. Not sticking me nose where it don't belong, I'm not I swear. Things like this happen all the time lately."
Yagra Smiles back, "It's not so bad as all that, normally just your normal rough and toughs. Now its only that Damn'd Xanathar Guild. Always try'n to take whats not there's and sticking there nose into others business. They'll get whats come'n to them soon." Watching the grimace on Mirkuia's face, "Damn'd horribly sweet ain't it, but Durnan can brew it up good enough to get ya movin again. You know he only gives that stuff to those who help him in a bind."
Volo looks to Yimrok "Well you see, I was suffering from a bit of writers block on my new book, Volo's guide to Spirits and Specters, so I decided to head down to the Skewered Dragon for a drink. That's where I met up with Floon. We started drinking and talking, you know. Well next thing I knew hours had past and really needed to get back to work on my book, so I bid him farewell and went home. That was the last I saw of him. As for me I'll be waiting here for any news you bring."
"The Skewered Dragon, huh?" Yimrok sips the sweet drink and continues to look for "Bonnie" working in the tavern. "I suppose we will start our search there, Do you know if Floon has any enemies? Does he owe any one money or favors? Where does he live in town? Any information will help us find your friend quickly."
“Xanathar Guild eh? Well long as they stay out my way ain’t no business of mine” he says looking over his shoulder towards Yimrok “though those guys I’m traveling with are the kind to get involved in all that nonsense, won’t give an orc a night to drink and relax. Mean that there wizard is out looking for his friend, Floom Blagamar or something, every heard of such a ridiculous name? Dunno where these humans come up with them.” He says chuckling a bit, still eyeing the wizard before turning back towards the bar “says that Flump got kidnapped, I think it’s all hog wash, but you heard anything bout that recently?”
The patron scoops up the coin glancing around and lowering his voice. "Well you see. I hear, just rumors kay, that there are two groups looking for something. The Xanther guild and the Zhentarim." Glancing around again and laughs heavily "There's even a rumor about drow in the sewers, now that's funny."
Mirkiua's Conversation
Yagra scowls a little and says in Orcish "You best just keep your nose out of that." Then smiles and switches back to common. "Look I appreciate the help from you and your friends, but I gotta go." With that she walks out of the tavern.
Yimrok's Conversation
"No enemy's that I can think of, he's a very likable guy. As for where he lives, its right down the street from the Skewered Dragon I believe."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gereon forces out a fake chuckle, "Sewers huh? Ha ha, right. " Then he glances around before quietly asking, "Is the 'something', a specific person, an object, or perhaps a location?"

Mirkiua's smile quickly turns into confusion then a slight hint of annoyance as Yagra cuts the conversation short, going to ask a question, but before he could get it out she was gone. With a low grunt He sits back in the stool, looking around the bar, seeing both his companions still in conversation he turns back to the bar and decides to wait for them to be talking before approaching, knowing from experience that a large half orc looming over someones shoulder tend to get them to talk less than more.
Yimrok spots a barmaid carrying glasses from a now empty table and recognizes her from the description; It's Bonnie.
"Well Mr.Geddarm, I'll bid you goodnight. As soon as we know anything we will get back to you. " Yimrok stands and says with a smirk, "Should you leave for an extended period, leave a note with Durnan and I'll track you down, I guarantee it."
A feeling of hope rising in his chest, Yimrok makes his way to the barmaid. "Excuse me, Bonnie?"
"I don't know, Some say its a treasure, some say mighty dragon that will do the bidding of the one who frees it. I could even be the key to another world." Laughing, "Its probably another fools quest that'll get everyone killed."
"Oh one of those coins, are you with those vagrants?" She says as she wipes down the table, and sets her rag down looking up at Yimrok. "If you are they owe us 5 dragons for food and drink. Anyways they came in here trying to get down the portal, but wouldn't say why. Got in an argument with Durnan over it they did. Then they up and stormed out without paying. People followed them to the dock wad and lost them there. One of them dropped a coin just like that. Had it appraised I did, hoping it would cover some of the loss. But it mostly worthless. Wooden, covered in gold, got 3 copper penny's for it." With that she picked up her rag and started for the back.
Pushing the coins back, "No, its not your responsibility." Shaking her head and sighing. "I shouldn't be so hard on you, you didn't do it." Scratching her head for a sec. "What did they look like. Well there was a halfling, and half-elf, and a kobold. But, they were talking like there were with a bigger group. The gambled a bit in the corner there, bragged about all the places they visited this last year, and how they were always on the lookout for easy money. As for calling them vagrants, I guess I consider anyone who slips out on there tab vagrants."
As you turn a corner, you find yourselves on a street that has been cordoned off by the City Watch. Lying on the cobblestones are a half-dozen corpses, seemingly the victims of some terrible skirmish. Watch officers have disarmed and arrested three blood-drenched humans and are in the midst of questioning witnesses. One of the officers sees you. “Get on,” she says. “Nothing to see here.”
Looks like the war between the Zhentarim and the Xanathar Guild is escalating quickly. As the guards won't let you closer you move on.
As you move on into the dock ward you see tall, densely packed tenements leave most of the neighborhood in shadow at ground level. Most of the streetlamps have had their glass smashed and their candles stolen, and the smells of salt air and excrement linger as you pass by rows of run-down buildings.
One nearby shop stands out from the others. It has a deep purple facade, and in its window hangs a stuffed beholder. Above the door hangs a sign whose elaborate letters spell out “Old Xoblob Shop.”
Do you want to explore the dock ward or move on to the Skewered Dragon.
Yimrok looks to Mirkiua and passes him a pouch of coins; "Alright big guy, here is your share and for you Gereon" passing him a pouch. "Lets all keep our eyes open. I'm going to look for more information on Floon Blagmaar at the Skewered Dragon. It may be a good idea to split from here and cover more ground, but we may need to watch each others backs, should we end up caught up in what happened to those back there."
The orc catches the bag with a large, toothy grin on his face "Thank little 'un, and yeah, those flying bastards did me in pretty well, could use some armor" He says as he turns his attention towards Yimrok "If ya goin out by yourself ya best be careful, there's a lot of places for someone to hide your tiny body, doubt we'd ever find ya" He said before laughing loudly, giving the Halfling a /gentle/ pat on the shoulder

"All the time lately..." Gereon mumbles, with a sigh he slides a gold piece to the shifty speaker.
"Say, if you knew a 'friend' who stuck their nose in the wrong places, who would they have to compete with?" Gereon says in a hushed tone.
"The Skewered Dragon, huh?"
Yimrok sips the sweet drink and continues to look for "Bonnie" working in the tavern.
"I suppose we will start our search there, Do you know if Floon has any enemies? Does he owe any one money or favors? Where does he live in town? Any information will help us find your friend quickly."

"Excuse me, Bonnie?"
"Yeah, another fool's quest. Thank you anyway." Gereon says before yawning, he bids farewell then takes a seat with his orcish companion.
"Bonnie, We have a mutual friend. I need to know everything you know about this coin."
Yimrok pulls out his horned cat coin and shows it to the barmaid, keeping a tight grip on it and not letting her touch it.
"What did they look like?" Yimrok says while walking up to the barmaid.
Yimrok fishes out 5 coins from one of the pouches given to him by Volo. "Here's the coins you're owed."
Yimrok looks down at his own cats horn coin in his hand. "Did you call them vagrants?"
"That's fair I suppose." Yimrok says, placing the coin back in his pocket.
"Which way is the dock wad?" Taking four of the coins and placing them back in the pouch. "How long ago were they here?"
Yimrok looks to Mirkiua and passes him a pouch of coins; "Alright big guy, here is your share and for you Gereon" passing him a pouch.
