The woman stops for a moment. She doesn't turn around.
"No." She turns, looking over her shoulder at Sim and Abigail as they approach. "If you wish to speak to the Elder, come back when the snow has melted. He will be available then."
“As you wish. Thank you for your time.” Then he will discuss with Abigail which of the tribes are closest to the temple and head to meet up with the others. He will let Abigail relay the info to Yaalin and The rest.
"Alright, it looks like we have some vague idea on how and where to find Shale. If nothing else, one of the goblin clans will likely know how or where to find him. Directions weren't great, but I am sure Sim and Lafetha can keep us alive long enough to find them." She pauses, hoping Diadochi and Yaalin are still interested, before continuing. "I say we start with the ((shortest pointed one's name)), which she seemed to suggest was in ((the general direction of the shortest pointed one's location))."
While you're not 100% certain exactly where they are, based on random points in directions; Sim and Lafetha do feel at least confident on being able to start the trek is so desired. But the way the translator seemed to point does show that the clans are scattered around; East, West, North, South.
Old Fire, and Tall and of Steel, seem to be the furthest. Both heading away and further into the mountains, areas you've not yet traveled. Only having been to the valley of one of the taller peaks. Some of the tallest peaks still looming over you all.
Mountain and Moss are both the shorter distances from the village, heading in slightly different directions.
Sky was at least pointed to in a similar direction as the ruins of the city of Hope.
(When you set out, if heading to any of these goblins, I'll need a marching order - Front / Middle / Back. And I'll need someone to roll Survival, a different person to roll Perception, and a different person to roll Investigation. Leaves two of you to either roll 1 of these as well, or do the assist action and give someone advantage. If anyone is proficient in Cartographer's Tools - or something arguably similar - you can roll that instead of one of the others and it'll replace a worse roll)
Sim says “If I were in the position that we put Shale in by removing his mage and his supply of Goblins who were willing to give up their life force to open the temple, then I would move quickly to my next closest source of support. To try and rally s new force. It sounds like the Sky Clan is closest to the temple. However, we could reach a closer clan maybe the Mountain Clan quicker and gather info and maybe sway their support away from Shale and to our cause.

Diadochi regards his surroundings "Yaalin, I know I told you about Aunt Petra... Constable Aunt Petra not the Aunt Petra that was involved in the moon debacle (Don't tell anyone this but all the Cousins call her Moony)... Anyway Constable Aunt Petra is very gifted when it comes to solving crimes if they can't solve a crime they'll put her on the case and she'll solve it in 2 days. The reason I tell you this is because she taught me everything she knows about investigation, and I think I've found something of great importance to the case!... er... Quest!" 18 "... of course there weren't any crimes committed in empty mountainous hellscapes, so that could be throwing me off."
(Diadochi is with in Protection Fighter distance of Yaalin where ever they go)
The group sets out, attempting to find some trace of this "Sky" Goblin clan. Knowing it to at least be in the direction of the ruins of Hope, they set forth.
The journey... is terrible. Heading into different directions, finding food and water proves to be a challenge. For the most part, it's been alright, between Yaalin's ability to create water and Lafetha's goodberries. But the sensation of hunger and the pangs of hunger stay long after, only satisfied with rations. Finding shelter during two nights of winds and shifting sounds throughout the night keep people up and not able to rest. Lafetha's keen eyes keeping a lookout and finding possible trails, while Diadochi and Yaalin look about only to get a bit lost and wander for hours.
Abigail attempts to keep some kind of map, but, winds and water from rain or forging across a stream, ruin parts of the map, leaving her with torn paper and useless directions. Still, Sim's knowledge of mountains keeps you all oriented. Knowing that you're about three days from hope.
It's the evening of the 5th day of searching. Sim returns with a few bits and odd ends, but not enough for a meal. Simply enough to add some flavoring and freshness to the rations.
Rocks begin to slide down the slope near you. A odd 'wake' pattern appearing in the ground. Something is tunneling towards your camp, and fast....
Setup: You're all at camp, the fire is going. Supplies are out. Sim, and others, have returned from a hunting trip that didn't prove too useful. Fist sized boulders are rolling down towards you all, as something appears to be in the ground. A shockwave heading towards your camp at high speeds. It's about 50 feet away up you all. (Total cover, can't be seen, but you know where it is. Nature check to learn anything about it - free action)

The shock wave continues. Rocks becoming dislodged and a low thunderous sound seeming to follow it. The creature, some kind of large armored beast, lunges out. It streaking through the air nearly thirty feet and slamming into Diadochi.
It's claws and jagged edges cutting the Loxodon. 19 Bludgeoning 13 Slashing
(Diadochi: STR or DEX Save v DC 16. Fail, take full damage and be prone. Succeed, half damage not prone but knocked 5 feet away)
Sim, you've heard of these creatures; land sharks. Solo hunters that are incredibly viscous and aggressive. They move as fast on land as they do through the earth. With keen eyes, they hunt by both sight and feeling what's around them. You firmly believe that a single bite from this creature could kill, but don't recall it having anything more than a thick hide (AC 17) and the ability to travel underground to protect it.

Diadochi takes a shark straight into the chest but manages to stand firm, sliding back a bit. He sees the shark start to right itself "oh no you don't!" He rushes towards the shark and grabs it so it can't go back into the ground. 14
