Kelrah readied himself, a grin creeping up his face. "This is going to be fun," he said, before taking off at a full sprint towards the orc camp. The Cursed Aasimar was blissfully unaware of the incoming star which had incited panic in the orc camp. His drawn blade managed to catch an orc running from the point of impact, which happened to be near where Kelrah was headed. "Come on out, you snivelling cowards!" Kelrah shouted with joy as his blade sank into the orc's chest. "Kelrah Einwam is here and ready to rumble!"
As Kelrah rushes in, Jener the Sparrow glances up to the sky, as do many orcs, and they see a star, falling towards the encampment. Orcs begin to flee as the star closes in, and as Kelrah continues to approach his targets - the Tanarukks - the star squashes them, and two Starbeasts begin to claw their way out. The star's landing lauches debris which crushes many other orcs [Kelrah crit a Misfortune saving throw, so everything is going well for him right now (Lets see how long that lasts)].

The concept of stars falling had seemed to be a rumor before, a claim brought about the delirious panic that had gripped the world when the rest of the heavens changed. And yet, here was proof that such rumors were truth: a large mass of material streaked through the sky as one of the aasimar began to charge toward the enemy encampment. A quick calculation showed that despite his curse, Kelrah was not under immediate threat of getting caught by the star or the debris it would inevitably launch up- but their target most certainly would. "Looks like the mission just got simpler." he stated dryly as he closed his eyes just before impact.
BOOOOOOM!
...Maybe ear covering would've been a good idea. The Sparrow winced as he tried not to focus on the resulting ringing and spotted a surviving orc attempting to run off into the distance, his back quite plainly covered in blood and dust from his most harrowing experience. 'You don't get a much better distraction than a job to finish,' he thought as he took aim at the bandit, his mind focusing its power to speed up the shot. He pulled the trigger, and the orc fell dead without a sound.
Trouble rarely went away that easily, however. Already, two alien beings were appearing from behind the cloud of debris, and from the looks of them... well, they weren't likely to let this ragtag group be. "Don't drop your guards yet, men. We might just have to deal with those monstrosities before they take any innocent lives as well" He approached the beasts with caution, a bolt already nocked in his crossbow.
(OOC: Attacked Orc B, rolled 22, with a 1 PP investment into Speed Dart for a total of 13 damage, killing him. Moving my full speed (25 Ft.) toward the ruins of the encampment)
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Roberta rushes forward (30 feet), then pausing to take a breath, then breaks into another run (dash action, 30 feet more) until she has sight of an orc. A heartbeat later a small flaming orb streaks from her hand into a fell orc warrior. (quickened, expends 2 sorcery points)
"I'd love to stab one of these lovelies in the back," Gwyn said with a wink before disappearing into the shadows. She snuck up behind one of the orcs, her shortsword neatly skewering him straight through the heart. It was a quiet, clean kill. The air genasi stepped over the orcs carcass as the fight began.
Yvertal gets up and levels his pistol at a nearby orc. He's just about to fire when suddenly his ring starts to glow and spark. "Gods damn it, of all the times -" He's cut short as a multi-colored portal opens up directly above him and lowers down taking him back to the Horizon Walker's home plane.

"Go then, there are other worlds than these." -Stephen King, The Gunslinger
"The heck are those?" Kelrah muttered, looking over his shield at the suddenly flaming Starbeasts before him. The first thing he latched onto was the aura surrounding them. The second was the almost intuitive knowledge that these things- whatever they were- were linked to the fracturing of the moon. A sudden fury welled up inside him as he stepped forward, a dark shroud descending upon him. "Come and fight me, you bastards! I'll make you pay for what you've done!" The light around Kelrah suddenly dimmed, as his face darkened into a mask of shadows. Wisps of darkness collected around him, forming a singular wing that sprouted from the Aasimar's back. "My thunderous fury will descend upon you, whether you like it or not! Come, beasts from the skies, and let Kelrah Einwam collect your heads!" Kelrah spat on the ground in front of him, ready to plunge his blade into the Starbeasts.
[OOC: Action: Shroud of Misfortune. Movement: 5 feet north. BA: Casting Thunderous Smite. Ready to rock and roll.]
As Kelrah erupted into a flurry of shadow, the Sparrow was taking aim in both the material and mental realms. He fired a test bolt at one of the alien beings in between steps and hit true- but seemingly ineffective. The creature definitely felt it, but it was decidedly not a mortal wound. "Guess I just have to shoot harder next time," He reasoned as he loaded another bolt in a swift movement.
(OOC: Using my Bonus Action to change my Psychic Focus to Nomadic Arrow, attacking Starbeast , rolled 24, for 6 damage, and moving another 25 ft. towards the fiends)
Seeing the blazing beasts of flame before her, Roberta quickly formulates a plan. A second later, she breaks into a run, running 25 feet forward then 5 feet to the left. As she catches the eye of the flaming creatures, she yells a command to them to go down. (command, second level targeting both starbeasts, save Wis 14 or prone)
Though Roberta can feel that one of the beasts was bending to her will, neither beast seems to fall prone. One starbeast lumbers away from Kelrah, and punches Gwyn. The first strike lands, but sends it off balance and it misses with the second strike [Damage roll 6]. The other advances on Kelrah, launching both fists towards him. The first, despite the aura of misfortune, lands square in his face [Crit, Damage roll 13, Kelrah resists radiant damage though, so 6 taken], but the other narrowly misses his shoulder. There is now a plasma residue on both Kelrah and Gwyn.
STATUS Starbeast 2: 3 damage taken Gwyn: 6 damage taken Kelrah: 6 damage taken
Kelrah watched as one of the Starbeasts moved forward to attack him, grinning in anticipation. "Isn't this a surprise," he muttered, dodging the first swipe of the creature. As the Starbeast's arm flew wide, Kelrah took the opening he saw, slashing out with the Lunar Blade, making a cut along the inside of the Starbeast's arm. As he lept away towards his original position, the beast's other appendage lashed out and struck him, knocking him back. "Son of a-" The Aasimar managed to land on his feet, but the residue on his shoulder would certainly bother him. "Tch." Guess I'll have to clean this off first, Kelrah thought to himself, removing the substance. He felt a slight burning sensation in his fingertips, forcing him to drop the gelatinous slime onto the ground. "Ow! That hurt, you slimy star monster!" Kelrah readied himself for another attack. "Now I'm really pissed."
[OOC: Opportunity attack: 14 to hit, 12 damage (3 is necrotic, if resistance/vulnerability applies here) on Starbeast 2. Action: Removal of Starbeast residue.]
Gwyn's struck the starbeast with her rapier before darting backwards as fast as she could. She was covered in the thick residue of the creature, but didn't have the time to get rid of it.
The problem with these things was the sheer amount of light their auras gave off, which only got worse the closer you got. It didn't exactly mean much for melee combatants (though it has become clear that they had other things to worry about), but it was enough to cause the Sparrow's next bolt to veer off course. He quickly attempted to fix the projectile's flight path, but he must've been too out of focus- the bolt wound up veering even farther away from the beast and finally hit a pile of debris beyond. "...I missed?" he muttered in surprise. "Oh no, that won't do!"
(OOC: Attacked Starbeast 2, rolled 11 (miss), spent two Psi Points and my Reaction on Seeking Missile, rolled 7 (miss), realized far too late that Hero Points exist and mentally kicked myself for being such an idiot)
Once again, the starbeasts continue to pummel Gwyn and Kelrah. While one manages to get both hits in on Gwyn [Attack rolls 19 and 16, Damage rolls 11 and 7], the other only manages to land one good hit on Kelrah, whose divine blood lessens the pain [Attack rolls 21 and 13, Damage roll 8, he takes half = 4].

Kelrah felt the acidic sludge of the Starbeast burn into him once more, the pain nullified by his rage. "Do you want to play? I'll show you how to play!" As he lept forward, the Aasimar, shouted, "Grant my blade the power of a thousand storms!" Striking the Starbeast, Kelrah felt the Lunar Blade slice through its plasma. He felt the creature's life force drain into the blade, empowering the blessed steel he wielded. A fiendish grin slid across his face. Let's get this show on the road.
[OOC: Action: Booming Blade on SB2. Movement: 5 feet East (in front of SB2). BA: Thunderous Smite. Hit: 19. Total Damage: 14. Strength save failed, Starbeast takes extra damage from Booming Blade (included in total damage).]
This shot was sure to hit its mark. A brief moment of clarity cleared away the Sparrow's frustrations and showed him a spot where the fiend's plasma was not quite so thick, quite so protective, quite so bright. He was quick to make his shot, lest the monster move and make the weak point hidden once more... but it might not be enough. He willed the projectile to fly far faster and far harder, slicing through the space between the pair and slamming into its target with a satisfying 'VWOOOOMP'!
And yet, the beast still did not fall. Worst still, the genasi was lying unconscious between them, absolutely smothered in searing goo. Doubtful as he was that he'd be able to reach her before anyone else, it was entirely possible that nobody else would make a move to help her either. Like it or not, the job likely fell on him...
