Fang pats the wolf he just killed and says, "They had nice fur. Would have liked to have one as a pet....oh well! That's what they get for trying to fight the amazing Fang Wu Kong! Hahahaha!" Fang starts laughing and pulls himself back up into his branch.
Baxthon feels great that he is getting better at this magic stuff. But the way it materialise creeps him out. As people goes back to sleep and Baxthon once again is left alone in the darkness his mind begins to wander. The darkness, wolves, death, zombies, Necrotic energy?.. Baxthon hides in a nearby bush, and lie flat on his belly. Feeling the comfort of the soft dirt and rocks beneath him. He stays alert for the remainder of his watch.
The rest of the night goes without interruption, and you awake the next morning (unless you wanted to do anything else) feeling rested, and ready to continue your journey. Light having been restored, you are now able to see how much closer to the mountain you are. There are still a few days of travel left, but the visible progress you have made is a relief. ''The wizard's tower is close to goblin territory, so the safest way to get there is to go around their forest, and through the mountain. Once we get to the mountain, we will part ways, I can't leave my people for too long.''
''The tunnels you will be taking in the mountain lead to Goblin territory, but we have not seen many goblins leave it. It should be empty except for bugs and small animals. Once you leave, however, you will have to avoid goblins until you make it to the tower.
Baxthon and Fang, as you continue your journey, you contemplate the fights you have had so far, and how you have overcome each challenge that has come your way. You are both level 2.
As the group is walking this day, Baxthon is seemingly covering his hands. There is something different about him this morning. The way he handled the wolves during the night unsettled him, he was getting better at conjuring skeletal hands out of thin air, but It was a grim kind of magic. It troubled his mind.
As the priest say that they should avoid goblins he looks at Fang. "You hear this? We need to keep it low until we get to the tower."
Baxthon will pull the priest aside at some point during the trek. If people want to listen in they should make a Perception or Stealth check higher than Baxthon's passive Insight of 15.
"It has been great traveling with you, I am forever greatful for what you have taught me of the gods. But as we spoke of back in the temple, I fear my power is somehow not of the holy nature as you would expect from the gods." Baxthon show the priest his hands. They look withered and the skeletal bones are clearly visible through the sickly greenish molden skin. For a moment his skeletal fingers grow wicked claws that drip with green thick slime, then it retracts, and his hand return to it's uncanny withered state. "What do you think this means? Do your gods provide answers to this behaviour?"
The priest, seeing your hands gets a concerned look on his face.
I know not what you did in your past life, and I will not judge you for things you don't remember doing. This dark magic does appear to be of a divine source, which implies that you might have worshiped a god of evil alignment. Sadly, I cannot provide answers, as I have had trouble communicating with my god ever since I first stepped foot on this island, I hope this adventure will reward you with the knowledge you seek.
Daeron, as you try to listen in, Fang starts swinging up trees which distracts you, and
Fang is very distracting, still swinging around. However, he's noticed that the warm feeling in his chest got stronger. And can almost grab it....kinda
You all continue your journey through the various trees, plant life, and small fauna, until late in the afternoon. The towering mountain now stands before you, another obstacle in your path. ''Here it is.'' says the Priest, breaking the silence, ''Here is where I must leave you on this journey, I wish you good luck in finding the answers you seek.''He glances at Baxthon while saying this, before dropping a bag of rations on the floor, more than enough for the journey to and from the wizards tower. The halfling sits on a fallen tree, wanting to watch you a bit before leaving, to make sure you are safe. ''Oh and one more thing, the tunnel probably leads lower into the mountains, as we suspect this is where the goblins used to get most of their resources, but going down would only lead you further into danger, so stick to a direct route to the exit if you can. Good luck!''
Before you, a large tunnel sits at the bottom of the mountain. The rough stone of the walls bathed in the sunlight given by the sunset soon changes to complete darkness as the tunnel follows a downwards staircase right after the entrance. A few torches are seen on the walls but have been extinguished for a long time, as no smoke or heat is visible.
Fang jumps down from the tree and looks down the hole. Cocking his head, he looks to everyone else, "So we're going down here to fight more Goblins? Awesome!" Is ready to enter the moment someone gives him permission.
"No, we're not here to fight Goblins. We're here to get to the tower, but if you wish to go off looking for Goblins, I won't stop you, but I won't help you either."

Baxthon, it seems to be very a very simple mineshaft-like tunnel. You don't quite have any memories to base this from, but it seems very crude, probably built with simple tools, and very old, as parts of the stone wall are cracked or worn down.
Fang, your dark vision allows you to see a bit further in, but it just seems like it goes down for a while. Its hard to tell due to the whole thing being stone.
"Unless something else comes bounding out of these woods, I think we can go back to sleep."

After the talk with the priest Baxthon is ready to head on. "Lets find this wizard, shall we?"

Baxthon will spend some time to investigate the intrance and stairs into the cave with the stonecunning racial and darkvision. What are we looking at?
