"Thank ya Kindly Nezith." Darwin will give Cellica a pat on the shoulder and head for the room. "Rest well Friend." He will then make his way up the stairs and bed down for the night. Getting as cozy as he kind by the fireplace in the room.
He will give Horus, Andolin and Wren a nod as he makes his way up the stairs. Hunching down so as to not hit his head.
“Of course, Cellica, pull up a seat. This is my new friend, Edrose. I haven’t seen the ocean, or not yet . I think I’ll be glad if I live another 40 years. Death is one horizon I’m trying not to see too quickly,” Horus laughs at his own joke. He then pulls out a silver piece and puts it in Edrose’s hand directly. “I hope this helps carry you to the sea. If you find your feet are weary, rest awhile and maybe I’ll see you there.”
”Cellica, what do you hope to see on our travels? Our friend is bound to be able to tell us how to find it.”
Walkin up to the blind man's table, Wren bends low and puts his hand out towards the dog so it can get a sniff. If the dog seems gentle, he will try to pet it. "I heard you were travelling North, what sends you towards the Hinterlands? Dangerous place for an old man and young girl."
(How old does the mans daughter look? If she is an adult then please replace young girl with young woman.)
She pulled up a chair and sat down between Horus and Edrose. Cellica put the pint that she had been holding, down on the table and proceeded to cross her arms in front of her chest. She did not really know how to answer Horus his question... Simply because she did not know what she wanted. After a long pause she finally spoke "I'm not entirely sure to be honest. The monks send me out into the world to find a purpose. So I hope that we come across places where we can actually help people who can't help or protect themselves. That's what I have been doing all my life. I don't know what I personally want." she said a little doubtful.

The daughter is 20-ish. The dog is friendly and sniffs your hand and beats his large tail against a table leg. The girl smiles at you.
Now that you are closer, you can the lines and patches of old scars on his face and hands, and you hear the deep rhythmic breathing of someone sleeping.
"We are headed to a small town outside of Yartar called Penshaw to meet some of my father's old friends," she says softly. "My name is Margaret, and this is my father Garet. We make the trip every few years, and the roads are safe hereabouts, if you stay to the road and don't travel at night."
Despite her efforts, Garet awakens. "What? Who are that your talking to, poppet?"
Seeing the others have engaged some of the travelers in conversation, Andolin takes his empty plate and water cup to the bar to see if the innkeeper could point them in a direction. Sitting down, he slides them neatly across to Nezhyti. “That was very good, sir. Thank you so much for your hospitality here. Tell me, what news on the roads to the north and east, Nezhyti? Know of any troubles that lie ahead of us?”
Darwin has taken off his chainmail and left his boots close to the furnace to dry. His shield and battleaxe are within reaching distance as he settles onto the pair of mattresses next to the fireplace. He will stare at the ceiling and have a moment of prayer. Thanking the Wildmother for the company, food and place to rest his head before falling asleep.

The two guards give you an appraising glance, before returning to their cups.
Nezhyti smiles broadly, "All praises to my daughter. I canna boil water without burning the skillet... I mean pot.. yes, you boil water in a pot," he laughs. "Troubles, no, hasn't been so much as a robbery in the district in five years. That bugger," he points to a mounted stuffed head of a bugbear over the other fireplace, "was the last trouble we had in the area. Oh, Olena was a young lass, so musta been nearly fifteen years ago. No, nothing much around here. Them three merchants are traveling with three full wagons, and only these to gentlemen for protection."
One of the guards grunts an acknowledgement.
He pulls a few times on his chin, looking up and thinking. "There's been trouble in Kryptgarden forest, I hear. Them Treants and Druids been in a terrible fuss over some Hobgoblins and bandits that tried to move in. Once you get up past Triboar, things thin out and you never know what you may run into if you get too far off the road. There's said to be Orcs still living in the old dwarven settlements east of the Stone Bridge, and who knows what loot they may have. But the Dwarfs are awfully protective of the area and actively hunt for the Orcs."
"Adventurers are you? I take it you are headed up north looking for a bit of adventure?"

“Don’t worry too much about it. A journey can be more important than a destination.” Horus looks a little embarrassed at having put her in an awkward spot. “Well, I think I ought to go settle into bed. So may you all sleep well, I’ll see you in the morning.” Horus goes to bed.
Smiling back at her, Wren ruffles the hair on the dogs head one last time before standing up. Speaking gently, "I'm glad too hear that Margaret, my name is Wren and even a few more days of safe road before we get towards our destination is glad tidings. However should you desire some safety in numbers, you are welcome to travel with us as far as our paths converge. Some people," he rolls his eyes in an exaggerated fashion while pointing out Terrence, "Find the presence of holy men to be a comfort on the road."
"Hello Garet, my name is Wren. Appologies for disturbing you, I just wished to make sure you were safe on the roads."
Cellica smiled and shrugged "We'll see what we come across on our travels. Mystery is one of the things I know I like." Cellica finished her drink and nodded at Horus when he told them he was heading to bed. "Sleep well." she said before he got up and walked away. Cellica herself looked at Edrose for a moment and surpressed a yawn "I think it's time for me to head up as well. It was a pleasure meeting you." she said and got up. She quickly dropped a silver piece on the bar when she walked passed before heading to the room and went to bed.

"Hello Garet, my name is Wren. Appologies for disturbing you, I just wished to make sure you were safe on the roads."
"Ahh, the road, I miss the the call of the road," he begins and his daughter rolls her eyes. "I wasn't always the blind cobbler you see before you today. Many years ago, I was hand with an axe and a mace, and roamed with companions in search of gold and fame," he finishes wistfully. "Still, it has been a good life. If fortune had been different, I would have never met my dear wife, nor had this angel by my side."
Waving Olena over, "Perhaps I can buy you a drink while you tell me about your adventures? I might be on the way towards my own, and the advice of one who survived would be most valuable."
“Well, this is all almost 30 years ago, and there was four of us: Jamal, a wizard who had just finished his apprenticeship from Waterdeep; an ex-soldier named Bail, a corporal I think he was for some noble in Yartar; and Larth, who had some affiliation with the criminal element of Neverwinter. Back then, the area around Yartar was much wilder. Goblins, orcs and other ilk. The treasure was never enough to make us rich, mostly the leavings of what was stolen from merchants.”
“Have you ever heard of Wisteria? No? Well, it’s a region of rolling hills north of Yartar. Once we came across a map to a lost mine there. We started in on it, spent nearly two days fighting and mapping before we were forced out. We just didn’t have the muscle and magic we needed. But there was gold there. I took an amulet off one goblin, pure gold, as big as the palm of my hand, with pieces of emerald forming a dwarven pick on it. We always meant to gather up a cleric and a few others and go back. But we never did…” His voice trails off wistfully, and he is silent for a few moments.
“It was sometime later, we had spent months tracking and picking off a band of orcs, goblins and bugbears led by a half-orc in an old keep, when I found the treasure chest. We’d lost, Larth a few days before to an arrow, so I foolishly opened the chest. As you can tell, I got sprayed in the eyes with acid! And with no one to heal me, I lost my sight. By the time we returned to Yartar, it was too late for them to do anything for me.”
“When I was young, I had been apprenticed to a cobbler. It’s a profession even a blind man can make money at, if he is careful of the details. My friends helped me back to Daggerdale, where I set up shop. Merlay, Margaret’s mother, was the daughter of my landlord. As you can guess, pity and stories eventually won her heart, even as my stories and skill won me a more than modest income.”
“In time, Margaret was born,” he says with his voice on the edge of breaking. “And my poor, dear Merlay gave her life to give me this ultimate gift,” he finishes, patting Margarets’s hand.
“Hush, father,” she responds, with tears in her eyes.

Quietly listening to the old man's tale, Wren affects a sniff at the end of his story. "I'm..." he pauses, "I'm so sorry for the pain in your life. I will take this to heart, so that none I travel with need feel your pain." He looks lost for words for a second, "For what little it is worth, I can say you have made at least one beautiful thing in your life." Wren briefly smiles towards Margaret, and at a loss for words, walks back to join whoever is still awake.
Wren maintains a solemn look for the rest of the night. After a few minutes, quietly, so that no one not at the table can hear, "There may be some chance for adventurein Wisteria, I'll tell you about it in the morning." And he heads to bed, abandoning his plot to to rob the merchants.
Andolin smiles softly as he responds, “As with all those who come together as we have, we each have our own reasons. Adventure, yes, and a way to be useful to those that need help...adventure often follows those with our skills and a willingness to help, in my experience. Glad to hear we are safe here at least. What an interesting establishment you have here, full of interesting travelers. Perhaps our journey may yet intersect with one of theirs.”

Out of the corner of your eye, you see Wren head upstairs, followed by the Dwarf and Halflings. The Halflings seem a little in their cups and are singing some tune about the moon and cows off-key, while the Dwarf scowls and mutters in frustration.
"Like those three," he points out. Seems they have been here forever. Would be adventurers, they are. Or the Dwarf is, but the Halflings seem to think it a vacation," he confides conspiratorially.
