"Eew, eew, eew! This won't do at all." Necey holds her arms up and gingerly moves through the water to the side of the tunnel. She whispers a few words and her staff glows a purplish light. She then steps up onto the wall. "There, much better,"she says with a smile.

Quinn will step down into the water without complaint or hesitation. They will stay toward the back of the group since the longbow won't be any good up front. They can't really see the floor because of the water, but will look around at the walls and ceiling to see if there's a trap of if anything stands out as odd.

Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Current Characters: Tailine, Tiefling Rogue 2 - Zanoliv
Before Quinn can quite finish his observations SST just picks up and flies away into possible danger.
SST on the other hand flies to the end of the corridor, turns left and is greeted by a ...creature, some 30 feet in front of you, seemingly aware of your presence, but staying still.
There seems to be a wall in front of him.. her.. it.. it's see-through, but definitely there.
The corridor seems to branch off into three right behind the creature, one continuing straight north, one slightly to the left (northwest) and one slightly to the right (northeast). The water level is obviously the same and it doesn't look like there's a dry spot anywhere in sight.

"Hey! Wait up." Necey says and scampers along the wall after the kenku.
(I assume that she sees the same thing. Which way is the creature facing? Does it look fairly humanoid - two arms/legs? Does seem to be standing on the ground or floating in the air? Necey has goggles of night, plus SST has a torch lit, so light should be good.)
The others see as SST flies above the murky water and the halfling just walks along the wall, sideways. When they get to the corner and look to their left... they look at each other then back at whatever they are seeing there.
What they are seeing is a large creature with seemingly femine head, but the body is like that of an enormous cat made out of stone. It's definitely looking at you.
Then a voice comes from its direction, which says:
Round she is, yet flat as a board Altar of the Lupine Lords Jewel on black velvet, pearl in the sea Unchanged but e’erchanging, eternally
The others back at the staircase can hear the voice, but wouldn't be able to make out any of the words.
I was about to say that between the group you figure out what the creature is, but none of you are proficient in history and only Quinn is proficient in Nature :)
Quinn, you may roll a Nature check to see if you recall aaaanything at all about what this may be.

Yuta glared as the kenku said that no one can tell him to what to do, in his voice before digging. Damn smart*** bird, if it weren't for the fact that they're partnered up for this mission, he would have skinned him alive and be cooking him over an open fire right now. He noticed the staircase and followed along with the others down it until they got to the bottom where it was submerged in dirty water and mud as well. No way is he walking through this. So Yuta moved up out of the water, pulling out his Canaith Mandolin. "Fly" he said as he started playing it, casting Fly on himself. Now that he is in the air, he will follow the others, chuckling as he watched them trek through that dirty water and mud. Of course the kenku had means of flying too, following them and the halfing climbing on the walls until they could see the creature and hear a voice that speaks a riddle. He wondered what the creature could be, and what might be the answer to this riddle.
(With Jack of All Trades, Yuta is half proficient in History and Nature, so maybe he can try? It wouldn't hurt, right?)
"Oh, hello," Necey says to the rest of the approaching party. "I'm not sure what this is, but it had some riddle some altar to the wolf lords and the moon." The halfling repeats the riddle to the group.
It could be a sphinx of some kind, but neither of you recall anything useful about them except that they're extremely rare and like riddles. So that adds up.
The thing repeats the riddle in the exact some wording as before, but otherwise doesn't move or react in any way.
Don’t be ridiculous. Where in the riddle did you hear a moon, team? Maybe... maybe a cat? (8 in intelligence in real life too. What’s a lupine? Looking it up)
(a part of a flower? Where did wolves come in?)
Round.... changes... pearl... flat... maybe a shield?

"Don't mind. Rhymes with buddy."
SST will kick off with his winged boots and fly down the corridor in front of everyone else (unless they can outrace him :P)
Quinn observes. When others move he watches. For the walls, for the ceiling, for how the waves propagate when someone disturbs the water.
Nothing gives him any indication of there being any traps in this corridor, but then again it is fairly dark and very wet and the floor can't be seen.

Padder just simply walks past on the floor, after picking up a rock and throwing it at the floor to make sure there is one.
There is floor all along the corridor apparently.
Padder walks to his kenku and halfling teammates. It is a cat lady thing! What is it? What did it say? (Assuming I can see it now)

Quinn will look up at the big creature after thinking for a minute, "Is it the Moon?"

(I believe lupine is related to wolf, as in Lupus as in Remus Lupin as in werewolf)
(I looked up lupine and got this:
