"Oh my.... which one of you to draw on first?" Alaris purrs with a sardonic glance at each of you. Then they roll their eyes and laugh softly... "I'm too much. I crack myself up." Without any further flirtation, each shadowhunter gets an iratze drawn smoothly and quickly near their wounds (7HP apiece).
"That's it, my pretties - all out of superjuice. If you get beat up anymore tonight, you'd better have something tasty to hand. Where we going?"

Nikolai steps passed Ling to look further down the tunnel to get a better look at the strange lights as Alaris takes a few moments to work their magic. He cranes his neck slightly and then suddenly his skin becomes translucent and fades into nothing more than another shadow in the tunnel as he watches the lights. After a moment he pops back out of the shadows. "I think those lights are torbles... As for the errant warlocks, I've heard some unsubstantiated rumors, but none of them seemed believable." He scratches at his beard a moment. "Although, torbles have been known to be tamed as familiars." His eyes widen as a sudden thought hits him. "Julia, who else knew about these tunnels? Do you think Alexi could've been broken enough to betray you?"
"The accords state that Downworlders who don't harm mundanes are safe from harm themselves. The threat used to enforce that is that those who do harm mundanes will be hunted. Hunting is your job Shadowhunter."
She is however, shocked by Nikolai's suggestion.
"Never. These creatures nest here and there in these tunnels. They like the filth. If we're quiet we can probably slip by without disturbing them..."
Ling shakes out her freshly healed arm, "Ahh, perfect, thank you Alaris." When Nikolai returns, she raises an eyebrow: "Torbles? Aren't those kinda cute? I've seen a picture of one before. Maybe we could take one home and tame it?" She looks back at the pretty lights. "I thought it was a trap of some sort, or maybe fey magic... but little glowworms doesn't sound so bad." Inching closer to the water, she reaches out her hand to let the reflections colour her pale skin. "Don't you think it would suit me as a pet?"
She answers Julia: "You are absolutely right, targeting mundanes was their biggest mistake, now they'll have to deal with us! By the way, do you know where that door leads up ahead, right before tunnel bends?"
Nikolai chuckles at Ling's naiveness. "They aren't so bad until they melt off your pretty face, my dear. They can excrete an acidic substance and spray it a fair distance when threatened. And they're big... as far as insects go. Alone they are not much of a threat, but in large groups they could bring someone down with disturbing alacrity. I highly suggest we carefully move past these things. Plus, if the strix manage to get through that door hopefully these little guys won't appreciate being disturbed by them."
Ling quickly pulls back her hand from the surface. "Yikes! Thanks for the warning!" She rubs the back of her hand, even though no creature stung her. "Quietly it is. Alaris, Caio, time for a silence rune..." Having drawn on the runes, Ling sneaks up to the first door and looks for the claw mark, but cannot find anything near this door. She motions for the others to follow her.
Caio slinks quietly behind her, keeping his eyes scanning around for any sign of danger. He notices lights coming from below, and sees the glob creatures resting beneath the murky water. He looks a little surprised that the creatures are amphibious, but doesn’t say anything, instead just following Ling again as she continues.
Nikolai creeps further down the tunnel to examine the second doorway only to find no sign of any marks; however, as his hands come into contact with the doorframe to examine for any other markings he finds it to be... slimey. He looks over his shoulder at the little creature with a look of intense irritation. He then looks back towards Ling, Caio, and Alaris while making a gesture towards the wall and sliding his hand down it, then points towards the torbles, and then shaking his head while shrugging to indicate he thinks the insects smeared the chalk mark...
Julia prowls forwards past the torbles and curses silently at the mess they've made of the walls. She heads on past the second door... only to find a dead end around a second corner. These two doors are the only way forwards.
Ling is getting restless and rubs the back of her hand again. Catching Nikolai's eye, she holds up two fingers and shrugs, as if to say: Let's just go with the second one then? She is itching to get out of the tunnels suddenly and looks around impatiently.
Nikolai returns the shrug and nods. He will pauses a moment and looks around at the ground, spotting marks and impressions into the slime leading into the first door! He starts to point, but then notices impressions going further down and into the second door as well. His shoulders slump and he throws his arms up in a gesture of irritation. Then immediately turns and begins going through the doorway of the second door to check that area for any signs...
The second door opens with a creak... to reveal a ten by fifteen foot storage bay containing maintenance tools. Behind Nikolai the torbles stir beneath the water...
Nikolai turns towards the others with wide eyes and immediately gestures for them to down into the other door! He then will become One with the Shadows...
Not enjoying the lack of clear direction and the "too many footprints" and the creepy slimebugs, Alaris touches their forehead with their stele and draws an elaborate version of the voyance rune.

Alaris's enhanced, angelic senses flag the torbles as creatures of the shadow world, but no more demonic than any other downworlder. There doesn't appear to be any further otherworldly influence within 60 ft.
Ling sees Nikolai's frantic gesturing at the same time as the torbles begin to stir, right after the creaking of the second door. Shit! It has got to be this one then! She pushes open the first door and steps through.
This door opens onto a new, drier tunnel, with no water channel running through it. Forty feet ahead her Ling can just about make out a low pile of rubble in the dim light. Beyond it seems to be another door of sorts.
"Oh my.... which one of you to draw on first?" Alaris purrs with a sardonic glance at each of you. Then they roll their eyes and laugh softly... "I'm too much. I crack myself up." "There's another door behind the bend. We need to take one of them. Look for the claw. I don't remember which."
