(OOC: DirtyDogP has been offline for 2 days. I'll move the story forward, and hopefully he will be around for the important decisions.)
Hildigrim has his short bow in hand, as he hustles to catch up to the other 3. "C'mon Pascal, you will miss out on all the fun!" (Hildigrim and Pacal will be 15' behind the others. Close enough to see them and hear the noises, but far enough back that they don't roll the ability checks.)
The mist still limits visibility to 30', and the woodlands would make travel more difficult if it wasn't for Quillary's Pass Without Trace. (She cast it at the cave entrance, so it affected the entire party.)
After half a minute of travel, the leading 3 party members come across the fight. (Pascal and Hildigrim can't see this from where they are, but they can see the others pause.) 30' forward are three humanoids. With the mist and dim-lighting, you will have to get closer to see more details:
Human in heavy armor, covered in mud and cuts. Fighting against the 2nd figure. The clothing and insignia match the Amphail patrol guards. The person is facing your direction, but is wearing a full helmet, covering the features.
Second figure in dark peasant-like clothing, swinging a short sword at the 1st figure. You can only see the back of this figure, but it is lean and spry.
Third figure, also in dark peasant clothing, is sneaking up behind the first figure, which is unaware of it. It has a spear in its hands. This one is heavier in build than the second. It is too far away to see clearly, but Quillary sees that something is wrong with its appearance. If she gets a closer look, she may figure out what is wrong with it. (The 14 Nature check was good enough.)
There is another body, on the ground half-way between the party and the other beings. It is a human in dark peasant clothing like the others, and he was slain, probably by the 1st figure. Drusk gestures to the body's upper arms. The arms are wrapped by distinctive black-red cloth bands, which Drusk recognizes. He mouths the words "black blood, bad ...", but Quillary and Jorin can't make out what Drusk is saying with his last longer word.
Combat has started!! Everyone post their actions, and include an initiative roll.
OOC: I'll continue using the concurrent initiative.
The other three figures have not noticed Quillary, Jorin, or Drusk. There won't be surprise, but the other figures don't know you are there yet. The second figure has its back to you, so attacks against it will have Advantage this round only. Q/J/D are 30' away, while P/H are 45' away and can't see the other three figures yet. (After P/H move 15' forward, they can see everything.)

Jorin breaks from cover, following Drusk's lead. He dashes past the near enemy and attacks the one who was sneaking up on the downed guard. His twin battle-axes flash in the night as he puts all his might into each swing (reckless attack).

Quillary will take Drusk's whispered warning as a sign these guys are up to no good, and move swiftly to attack. She taps the club on the cat skull, and whispers a few words, and the piece of wood begins to shed black particles like ash. A similar cloud of motes forms a halo around her as she starts forward. Pascal, moving 15ft to hear the noise and see what’s happening, and act!
Initiative: 15
Pascal pulls out two red candies once more that he throws at Quillary and Jorin, casting Pascal’s Giant Blood Candies on them both with his Twin Spell! They sail over to them and melt through their skin!
(For Pascal, the spell isn't being shown. I assume that it is the "Enlarge" part of Enlarge/Reduce )
In hindsight, Jorin and Quillary realize that Drusk was mouthing the word "lycanthrope". Unfortunately, Drusk did not remember what those beings are like.
Drusk rushes up to skinny foe, who turn out to be a wererat. His mace strikes solidly on the side of the head, for NO DAMAGE. He is confused, but is happier when Lliira's happy face weapon smashes it for 3 damage.
Quillary and Jorin are charging forward as Pascal emerges from the mist. He twins his enlarge spell, making them Large sized.
Quillary skips forward and swings her enchanted club. She hits the same spot that Drusk did, but with brutal results (11 + 2 magic damage). Her cloud of spores swirl at the wererat's eyes, for another 1 necrotic. Quillary, recognizing the were-creature, yells out so all can hear: "They can only be hurt be magic and silver!"
Jorin charged forward in a rage, and hears Quillary's warning too late. The other figure is a werewolf. Two solid strikes with his battleaxes, but the flesh is not cut. The figure snarls at the impact, but then grins to show that it took no damage.
Hildigrim emerges from the mist and looks over the situation. (10' of movement left, Delayed his round)
The wererat and the werewolf tried to attack their armored foe, but the party's attacks confused them, causing them to miss badly.
The armored figure, instead of attacking, yells out "Large one, use this." She pulls an object from her belt, and tosses it to Jorin. It is a silver-ed hand axe.
She also sees Hildigrim, and yells out, "Small one, inside my pack." Next to the dead figure on the ground, halfway between Hildi and the were-creatures, is a backpack, its shoulder straps broken.
(Hildigrim can act now. If he wishes to get to the backpack, he will have to use his Action to reach it and search it. Or he can ignore the advice.)

Hildigrim, feeling lost and unprepared at the turn of events, is glad to have something to do after the stranger yells at him, so he does as the stranger instructs.
Jorin pulls a giant smile as the effects of Pascal's candy take effect. It quickly fades and his eyes go wide as the damage he inflicted with his axe swings heals over in an instant. Not wide with fear, but wide with pure rage. He roars, spittle flying from his mouth, as he catches the silvered hand axe and brings it down on the werewolf!
Bonus Action: RAGE (+2 dmg, resistance to non-magical attacks, +adv on strength checks and saves)
Silvered Handaxe Reckless Attack: 13 Damage: 8 + 2 extra from being so huge
Hildigrim, feeling lost and unprepared at the turn of events, is glad to have something to do after the stranger yells at him, so he does as the stranger instructs.
Hildigrim is now 15' away from the melee fighting. He searches through the backpack, and skips past the personal belongings. His hand closes on black wood inscribed with silver elvish lettering. He pulls out a short bow, finer than his usual halfling bow. It feels good in his hand, it feels right.

New round for actions (although Jorin has already posted). Drusk and Quillary are in melee range of the wererat, both were-things are in melee range of the guard, and Jorin is in melee range of the werewolf. Hildigrim is 15' away, and Pascal is 30' away. (Sorry about the delay. Was DMing at SibCon over the weekend, and was busy trying to remember those modules. Also ran this mod, so I need to forget what happened on Friday and remember what is happening here.)
DM rolls for were-foes:
19, 3, 3, 12, 7, 18, 6, 13, 4, 17, 4
Need some more: 16, 6, 16, 2
What happened round 2:
The female guard is low on HP, and Dodges.
Werewolf strikes at Jorin with its spear. Oddly enough, not biting, and clubbing with the spear instead of impaling. The first swipe misses entirely (15 with advantage), but the second connects (21 adv). The werewolf only does 3 damage (after the Rage reduction). It expected a lot more effect, and gets to experience what it is like for your opponent to shrug off damage.
Jorin (remember to roll Init next time) connects (13) for 10 damage to the werewolf. The wolf is normally arrogant due to its immunity to mortal weapons, but is now having second thoughts about its lack of armor.
Hildigrim shoots the magic short bow and the arrow strikes the werewolf (17) under the arm for max damage (10). Hildi really likes this bow. He also instructs Pascal to aim for the same spot (bonus action to Help).
The wererat snarls at the pain Quillary caused, and swings twice with its short sword (22, 6). It is able to hit for 6 damage. Oddly enough, not biting, and smacking with the sword instead of slashing.
Pascal launches a rainbow colored orb at the werewolf. When Hildi asks what it will do, Pascal shrugs as if to say, how would I know? It doesn't hit under the arm, but it still connects for 19 damage, staggering the wolf as Thunder rumbles through the clearing.
Quillary clouts the wererat on the other side of the head. The wererat is weakly standing, and taunts her. "Is that it? Is that all you can do?" Quillary smiles as her halo of spores enters its open mouth (4 necrotic) and emerges from the back of its neck (dead).
Drusk finishes his Bless spell, but looks around to see the party doing well. With the wererat fallen, the spiritual smiley-face bowling ball bounces over to the werewolf and lands on its head (16 to hit, 6 radiant damage).
Summary:
Werewolf has taken 45 damage total. That is a major chunk of its health. Wererat is dead after the abuse from Quillary.
Qullary has taken 6 damage, Jorin 3. (Quillary won't need Pass-Without-Trace after this, so she can drop concentration instead of rolling.)
Jorin, Quillary, and Hildigrim have Bless, so can roll another d4 which will be added to your to-hit roll.
Hildigrim has a +1 short bow. He can add that to his inventory. In-Character, he would think he needs to return it eventually.
Round 3 starts. Everyone can post their action, and include an Init roll.
