Not sure if it's Dog's turn, but here's his move!
He steps forward to hit Dvarik very hard with a warhammer.
Attack: 12 Damage: 15 (he will cast green flame blade for this attack, since at 5th level he can make it do 6 fire damage to the target as well as a nearby foe... and Dog can now make a melee attack as a bonus action now, which is a combination I'd been forgetting about)
Bonus action attack: Attack: 27 Damage: 14
(If he can somehow flank him, he will, in which case I'd need another roll for each for advantage.)
He will say, through gritted teeth, "now this didn't work so well, did it? Drop your weapons, lay on the ground, we'll let you live a bit longer and you'll tell us everything."
Bulwark drags the unconscious and dead assassins off to the side, ridding them of any obvious weapons they're carrying, as well as looking for the poison they used to coat their blades (Investigation: 10). After that he picks up his shield and moves to the door, ready for whatever might happen next.
Bulwark finds traces of it on the blade but no source of poison on the assassins' persons.
Gash enters the room assuming she unlocked the door, "everything alright? I wanted to check on the others, but I didn't think we should leave you two alone... maybe they're close enough."
Gash tries to send a quick message, "Dog! Bulwark and I killed two assassins, are you okay? Do you need help?"

He steps forward to hit Dvarik very hard with a warhammer.
Attack: 19 Damage: 12 (he will cast green flame blade for this attack, since at 5th level he can make it do 7 fire damage to the target as well as a nearby foe... and Dog can now make a melee attack as a bonus action now, which is a combination I'd been forgetting about)
Bonus action attack: Attack: 24 Damage: 9

Not yet and you might change your action n a moment...
Dvarik surveys the battlefield as he dabs his fingers on the gash made by Martin's arrow. He rubs his fingers together thoughtfully, erasing the blood from his fingertips. Then he bolts westward (granting Dog an AoO).

They are roughly 2500 feet away, so the message doesn't get there.
This is more of a meadow/field than a forest, right? Dog will rise up just a bit in the air and fly, using his boots, toward the drow 30 feet and then for his action, cast all the remaining charges of the wand of magic missile but the last charge, not wanting to empty it. Range is 120 feet. I think I used two charges of seven before, and so this will be four charges, 21 (3d4+3 for the first use of it and then 1d4+1 for the other three charges). He knows he will not be able to track or speed up on him so he hopes this helps to bring him down.

Yes. Scattered trees. Grapevines in the near distance.
Dvarik falls forward, skidding through the spiked ground after the magic missiles strike him. When everyone makes it to the body, the spikes now retracted into the ground, they find the assassin dead.
Dog catches his breath and checks on the others to make sure they're okay. "That was close. Martin are you okay? Let's bring the bodies back toward the inn and check on the girls to make sure they're okay. I doubt they could have gotten past us but who knows."
Dog grabs Dvarik and loops back to grab another body and heads to the inn. Along the way he hooks them both in the crook of his arm and begins searching the bodies, one by one. He casts detect magic to see what he sees...
Back at the inn, the party swap stories. Gash and Bulwark defended Neventi and Gentoa's room from two assassins with Bulwark taking a fair amount of damage in the fight. They kept one of the assassins alive.
The rest took on four assassins on the driveway, Martin barely scraping by and Tock taking some damage as well. Between the 6 assassins they find 1 platinum piece (on Dvarik), one assassin with a single gold piece, two with a single silver piece, and two with a single copper piece. The assassin still alive held a silver piece.
They also each held a mundane short sword coated in poison that is rapidly losing its effectiveness. Dvarik held a light crossbow and wore studded leather armor, which is still in good shape. The other five wielded hand crossbows and wore studded leather as well. They also each held a buckler strapped to one wrist. Four of them had some other useful items. Dvarik wore winged boots. One of the assassins held an eversmoking bottle. Another had a potion of healing and the captured assassin at a spell scroll containing the spell silent image.
Martin collapses into any chair, bed, or couch. “That was the worst day I’ve had in a long time. I was sort of expecting to let them pass me and Tock by and then shred them between us, but somehow they spotted me. Thanks for keeping me alive, folks. I feel I let you down a bit.”

Both arrows find their target but Dvarik stoically does not respond.
"Assassins? Are you okay? Come in. We are both fine."
Bulwark finds traces of it on the blade but no source of poison on the assassins' persons.

(Dog and Althus are up)

On the driveway: Chase rules commence using the same initiative order. Keep these things in mind:
- Each character can run their speed (usually 30 feet) 3 + CON modifier times.
- A character can dash more times on their turn but must roll a CON(10) check or suffer exhaustion.
- I allow characters to give up a free dash to perform an attack (not multiple attacks...just the one.)
- NEW! At the end of your turn, roll a d20 to see what obstacles you may need to avoid. (I will be using the wilderness chart int he link above.)
OH, I almost forgot. Present distances to Dvarik:
Tock: 200 feet
Dog: 155 feet
Althus: 170 feet
Martin: 140 feet
Let's make all attacks at disadvantage while running and in the dark (in spite of the moon).
Initiative order still?
Paladin - warforged - orange
Actually, we can slightly alter it since only Dvarik is left. Right now, anyone may go in any order.
Martin will move 30 feet closer and cast spike growth to slow Dvarik down
Paladin - warforged - orange
I will just take this as Dog's AoO.
Centered on him or in front of him or...?
Oh good question. Let’s say centered on five feet ahead of him.

(Was that Dog’s eversmoking bottle he almost used in the tree? Did Dog retrieve the bottle?)
