The zombies, per their instincts, have formed a mini hoard of sorts, hoarding together and completely surrounding Dmitri. The party assesses the situation, which appears bleak.
Rastin and Adolmain hear some stirring behind them, turn and see more plant creatures behind them! Now the entire party is surrounded. The smell of death is in the air, and it hovers over the party, desiring to blanket them to darkness in the form of zombies and plantlike creatures. The horror is real.

Rastin sees that his party is in a difficult spot with Dimitri in a room full of zombies and now more of these plant creatures appearing and threatening to encircle the rest of the group. He considers his options and, although he momentarily thinks about channeling his holy powers to turn these fiends, Rastin believes Dimitri will be able to handle the zombies with Autzen. So he steps out of the shadows and moves to engage the plant creatures. He will not allow them to surround the group. Rastin strides forward (move to F9) and brings Talon down swiftly slashing through the plant thing (T3). Attack 15 Damage 11

Rastin's move away from the Zombies catches Autzen by surprise.. that is until he sees the plant creatures encroaching on the party's backside.
Assessing the battlefield before him, it's clear these are the worst odds they've seen yet. "Desperate times..." mutters Autzen, as he pulls two arrows from his quiver and calms his mind. He knows attempting this attack will push him past his known limits.... "desperate measures".
The doorway zombie must be taken first (Z5), a quick arrow to the face will hopefully end the threat completely. The second target (Z1) is already upon their new companion and must also be quickly dealt with. Once again, Autzen calls upon his Battle Master prowess, attempting to knock Dmiti's attacker down, and, if all goes to plan, allowing him to pummel the rotting corpse.

Autzen's initial arrow hits the zombie in its skull with a *thud*. The notch is only visible as the arrow went nearly completely through the zombie's grotesque head. (Z5-HIT). Incredibly the zombie survives.
"Braaaainssss! Braaaaains!" it retorts.
Unmoved by the surreal sight, Autzen's next attack also hits his next zombie attack (Z1-Hit).

The zombie in front of the door (Z5) swings its morningstar at Autzen, smelling the blood that stains Autzen's body. Perhaps when the zombie was living, he was an able warrior. It attempts to show the party that as undead, the zombie can be lethal.

All of a sudden, things have turned very bad. In his blind rage, Dimitri had charged into the ruins, not questioning whether his new companions would join him. Now he finds himself alone, cornered, and completely surrounded by zombies. As the undead reach and claw at him, he uses his sword to parry attacks. For a brief and terrible moment, he wonders if his new companions have left him to die. As soon as the thought surfaces, he sees two well placed arrows thunk into the horde, felling one zombie and almost destroying another. Dimitri feels a swell of hope. He is not alone! He can fight this.
He swings his sword at the damaged zombie. He still feels the fury of his rage, but no longer attacks recklessly. There could be any number of zombies coming. He cannot keep himself exposed. He cuts carefully, slowly, keeping the blade under control, using the steel to parry and shield the clawing attacks where he can.
Dimitri never went to a battle school. He never studied the art of the blade under a wizened master. He cannot claim the venerated title of "fighter". But he has fought for himself since the age of twelve. His attacks, while perhaps not as graceful as those of trained warriors, are just as deadly. His school has been experience, and his teachers have been the innumerable hordes of goblins and orcs that have died at his hands. Each one had its own lesson to impart. How to twist the blade just so to stop the heart. How to use the flat of the blade to parry an incoming threat. How to cut quickly and lethally. Dimitri uses all of these lessons as he drives the point of his greatsword into the throat of the zombie before him, twisting the blade to sever the neck, and popping off the zombies head.
If his opponents were goblins, they would be shitting themselves at this display of lethality. He knows the undead will not be fazed, but he cares not.

The zombie slowly tries to parry Dimitri's attack. When the zombie was truly alive, he would have easily handled the attack and Dmitri. As undead, its reflexes are slow and clumsy. Dimitri's great sword slices the zombie in two. Green ooze pours out of the zombie, and in the heat of battle the party members notice that the zombie appears to be smiling. Apparently, this undead creature, in its final moments, realized that it's true death was upon it. And now the zombie sleeps.

Autzen, being the only party member to suffer an injury, is also the only party member to have blood on him. The blood attracts the zombies, like mosquitos looking for a bite for nourishment. A zombie (Z2) proceeds to the front of the doorway and reaches out to Autzen's with its weapon. (Attack: 9 ) The zombie misses.
While Autzen manages to avoid further injury, another zombie (z4) strikes out at Dimitri. (Attack: 7 ). Again, the zombies are slow, and Dimitri, who was once surrounded and faced near certain death, manages to avoid the attack after successfully killing one of the zombies.
Rastin makes sure that the creature behind Autzen doesn't got a lucky shot in. Rastin wields Talon like a scythe and cuts down the weed. Attack 17 Damage 12

Autzen can feel the momentum turning as Rastin and Aldomain cover their flank, but none of them are out of the woods just yet. Dimitri still stands alone, and outnumbered, inside the ruins. Switching to his Greatsword and charging further into the room (I6), Autzen takes a full swing at the closest zombie (Z4). Despite circumstances, it feels magnificent to be wielding Red Sword of Pestilence again.
A zombie (z4) in the corner seems to float towards Dmitri and the door. It too takes a swing at Dmitri.
