They are zombies Hamun, shoot first and ask questions later is what you get for having zombies as your guard. What are we going to do, ask zombies if they are hostile? Like I said, you should've posted signage, anything.
Bygones be bygone Hamun. We're all a little tense, but we can work together for mutual gain. Thinking..... Oh shit, those orcs.... I left most of them in pieces
"Not a time wizard at least! HOw about a kiester magister so you can un-stick yer head?!"
he kicks sand over his boots to dry sprinkles. "We all set upon yer zombies BEFORE ye decided to pop out yer tent to address the situation. Zombies don't pour out of buildings ta just bring you hot bacon an eggs. Made yourself known and intentions known after- sure. Thats new information. Your lost zombies are your poor use of a defense mechanism, and not our concern. You want wayfarers to ken ya mean no harm, yet want to be left alone on land that aint yers? pop a bonnet on one to make em more friendly, ah dont care.
He chuckles when Dirk's face betrays that he'd left them in pieces... then Fjolnir softens a moment, "However- i'm fair on yer relic hunting proposition. Good business for us both, and if the group is amiable, you'll have me hired. How deep is the structure, Wizard- ye think we can get through there in a days labor? Theres an anxious friend in town looking for help when we return..."
Satisfied with the way things are going Az Emberi drops his spikes. But stares intently at the wizard with his natural eyes and the zombies with his third.
"A bonnet... That's a perfect idea! Oh, what? How big? I have no clue. I've cleared four rooms and the adjacent hallway, I didn't go further but there's at least four more rooms I haven't gone in." Since Az Emberi cleared the spikes, Kost waves his hand and all the remaining zombies turn away and move back to the inside of the tower walls. Kost follows them and stands in the middle of the fallen tower.
"I must warn you before you go in, there are traps, some don't work anymore, they're so old the mechanisms simply don't function, but it's best to assume they do. You'll find one of my zombies down there with his head caved in. Don't worry about Monty, his magic is gone, he's not getting back up. I've marked in red chalk as far as I have gone. I cannot guarantee your safety beyond that. Also, be ready to fight. I heard... things down there. I don't know what could have survived that long in this place, if indeed it did survive, but I'm sure you'll find it if you venture farther than I did. There's no light. Be careful if you want to come back. I mean, I can bring you back, ha ha! You won't have a soul though."
The wizard snaps his fingers and a trapdoor appears at his feet. He raps his staff on it twice and it opens itself, revealing a ladder. "Good luck." He walks back to his tent.

-We are all just one failed saving throw away from someone else's fantasy...
Fjolnir follows at a distance and looks at the door as the wizard opens it... then looks Az Emberi with his lip involuntarily curled to an absurd degree; "Once more unto the shit." *deep sigh* and he steps in-line into the party's normal travel order.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Shit i meant to ask that guy if he wanted to trade any spells... hey can you guys remind me to ask him about that next time we see him...(eyes dart hard left then back to normal) thought i saw something, anyway that was a hell of a thing.
Descending into the darkness, you touch down into a 20' wide hallway that continues East for a while.
(Are the 2 of you without Darkvision doing anything, or relying on the ones who can see?)
Az Emberi takes point but doesn't see anything for the entire length of the hallway.
Darkvision or if you create a light source:
It opens up into a 40x40 room bereft of furnishings, probably all rotted away or moved out by the former residents hundreds of years ago. There is a small hallway off the NE corner, with doorways going North and South. There are no doors in the doorways, though there are signs that there used to be doors here. Time, or someone or something has taken them.
Only if a light source is created:
Az Emberi:
If no one creates a light source you notice a slightly discolored outline around a 10x10 square just in front of the hallway leading out.
Dustfinger conjures up his dancing lights in a vaguely humanoid form.
(Dancing Lights: You create up to four torch-sized lights within range, making them appear as torches, lanterns, or glowing orbs that hover in the air for the duration. You can also combine the four lights into one glowing vaguely humanoid form of Medium size. Whichever form you choose, each light sheds dim light in a 10-foot radius.)
i whisper hey guys maybe i should cast comprehend languages we seem to sneak up on alot of people talking all the time, could be useful i would need 11min
as i say that i pick up a stone put it in my pocket and cast light on it (swamp green color) keeping it covered
If anyone wants to use hit dice, (I think only Absinthe was injured in the zombie fight) Or potions or heal spells, go ahead and do so now.
I'm going to assume the time has passed and everyone has waited for Hymir to cast Comprehend Languages, and he can now understand and read any language he hears or sees.
