The city of Emon stands proud against the backdrop of the Bladeshimmer Shoreline. The Seashall mountains to the north and the famed Daggerbay Mountains to the south. Emon is also a port city bringing in trade from the Marquet, Wildmount, and isles to the East. It also the capital city of Tal'dorei. A city filled history of famed adventurers such as the mighty Vox Machina and the famed home Gilmore's Glorious Goods.
Emon is also city that has seen its share of horror as a hundred years ago Thorndak the giant ancient red dragon razed the city and proclaimed himself the Cinderking.
The City now is a shadow of its former glories and the Council of Tal'dorei finds itself struggling to maintain things. Money is owed to the Clasp a criminal organization that help the city reform after the attack. Recently Hearthmaker Theadorn Krazz was stepped down from being the position of Master of Development and the former predecessor Lornak Syfe is back in power. The Council also turns a blind eye to Lycum the mages have been recently been abusing power in certain circles.
Recently the Master of Development Syfe has made the Brawler's Guild a legal agency in Emom. The organization is know for its blood sport games, normally two fighters fight not to the death but close enough. There is serious money to be made on these fights. This change in law allowed the Brawler's Guild to approach the Temple of the Storm Lord and bring back the Festival of Strength. This month long fighting starts with set a matches in the Azael Park found in the Central district.
The match is being ran by Broadstaff Sunderchin he is staying at the Staff and Dagger inn. A famed inn that for years hosted the League in its underground pits. Potential champions must see Kradin Grimthorne the fighting manger.
This is the first week of Brussendar the month of mid-summer. This is where our adventure begins.....
(OOC- Each of you will start at the Staff and Dagger Inn.)
The Staff and Dagger Inn is a large tavern with inn attached to it. A elderly man Garrick Hawkthorn runs the Inn. He and his wife Autumn Hawkthorn have a history of helping young adventurers find coin and chance. The main taproom is open and there is line on the right side of the taproom as dwarf with black armor stands inspecting the a line of various people. There are tapestries of the Storm Lord hanging as well the crest of Brawlers League. Several City Guard stand off to the side giving everyone a wide area but keeping a keen eye on everyone. A dwarf female is singing softly as the lute is being played by a small gnome.
A human male leans on the far side of the room, his back to the wall and watching the dwarven songstress. The music was quiet pleasing to him, even considering the environment it's sound perpetrated.
A lean 6ft tall, with a swash of reddish-brown hair tied by a red bandana, complimenting his fair, yet tanned skin and crimson eyes, Zero, finds himself waiting, watching as the various people come and go. He's unsure as to what to do next, he wasn't exactly a "people person" either. He had been contemplating what to do for a few minutes when the dwarven woman began her song, distracting him and allowing him to relax, with distant memories. Sighing, he glances over to the innkeep, Garrick and thinks, '....might as well I suppose...'
Walking up to the bar Zero nods to the innkeep, in a slightly accented voice, carrying a warm air in it, Zero asks, "Heard that you'd be the one to talk to around here if be needing a direction to go. Is that gonna cost me somethin'?"
A broad-shouldered half-elf in his mid-twenties sits quietly at a table. He has dark-red hair and a five-o'clock shadow, and adorned in chainmail armor and a dark blue cloak. Around his neck is his holy symbol with two eyes surrounded by five stars. It matches the images on his shield, which rests at his side. He quietly observes everyone at the other tables and the bar, curious to learn their stories. As people pass him, he stares at them for a moment with a hint of sadness in his eyes before going back to his table.

Garrick sees the young human walking towards him while he is rubbing down the bar. As Zero poses his question to him Garrick smiles. "Directions to where?" He says to Zero. Obvious to Garrick the young lad is looking for adventure. Garrick stands for moment and smooths out his gray and blue robes. "Well young one what do you do?" he poses back to him.
While talking with other patrons and handing them their meals she notices the young paladin. She moves over to him and eyes his emblem with eyes on it. "So do you worship the Moon goddess?" She says to him while pointing at his shield and emblem.
A young human woman sits alone at one of the tables. She's wearing a green tunic with the sleeves of a chain shirt peeking out underneath. Her legs are covered by brown trousers and dark leather boots. Her hair is red and her eyes are green. On her back is a bow with a quiver filled with arrows. She looks around the tavern, seeing all of the unusual people of different races wearing various kinds of clothing. So, this is what the big city is like.

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
A young wood elf stumbles through the door of the inn awkwardly, apologizing to the patron he just tripped over. He stands short for a wood elf with short brown hair, tan skin and a wild glint in his eye. His clothing and weapons are worn and dirty as he shoulders his bow and enters the inn.
Looking around at all of the people and chatter, he thinks to himself "What have I gotten myself into."
Zero motions to the bow strapped to his back and the dual blades at his side, "I can hunt, fight, read, write, and survive.... Also pretty good with a flute and forge."
Joetaro turned to the one who addressed him and smiles. "Yes, I worship the Moon Goddess Selune. She is the guiding light and the Moonmaiden ..." He stops for a moment. "She is not the same as the Moonweaver, though they might share some similarities ... well maybe one or two things. And who may you be?"

I have an intelligence of six, I know what I'm doing.
A smaller than average halfling steps through the threshold into the tavern. He casually brushes a small lock of curly brown hair out of his face as he scans the room for a seat. He deftly maneuvers his way through the crowd to a table near the corner of the tavern. He sits, reaching into his pack to pull out a roll of parchment and a quill. He starts scribbling words on the page and mumbles softly to himself.
"I'm sure to find a few noteworthy adventurers here. I can feel it."
Looks at Joetaro and smiles “Well I happen to be the one of the owners of this fine establishment. I was wondering about you sign since it’s the Storm Lord’s festival. Would your goddess be upset if you fought in one of the matches?” She asks.
Each of you look over as a young half orc yells at the dwarf in black armor. “ I can fight in this match. I will prove it to you old dwarf. I can fight any of those three.” He points you three out. Before the dwarf speaks. You each have a chance to do something.
