"As soon as I pay Buck here, let's head back to the ship and compare notes, stopping at the bakery along the way. We shouldn't have any trouble leaving here right?"
Klain finishes off his ale, slaps Kestrell on the shoulder and nods to the rest of you by way of farewell as the stocky refinery worker leaves the tavern. The two men he was with likewise take this as their cue to head home to rest before their early shifts tomorrow. Buck just grunts in Kestrell's direction as he continues to serve the growing line of customers at the bar, though eventually a very similar looking lump of a man comes to assist. The even larger barkeep slaps both younger men on the shoulders as he proceeds to walk into the smoke-filled room beyond the tavern's South wall.

Vaken lifts the mug of ale and downs it all in one drink as if it was just a shot. "Works for me."
Once the party are back outside and alone, "Should we wait for A'ro?"
"Good idea, well I suppose we shouldn't leave him alone. I've got to get down to the bakery though, before they close. Do you two want to wait here for A'ro or come with me? Either way we will meet back at the ship."
"As far as the missing supplies go, the only thing we've learned is that we need to ask around down at the wharf. Find some Luskan wharf rats and ask them. Right?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
A’ro tosses his gold in and nods “Aye ‘ard ta do anythin’ wit’ t’at ward’n around. T’inks his law is so hig’ ‘n mighty…” he makes a spitting motion on the ground “I say **** ‘im. Can’ blame ya for makin’ t’is jus’ a pit stop.” He takes a swig of his drink as he picks back up the dice and rolls them.
"Exactly right, Ro. That's my thinking on the matter as well... and plenty of other peoples it would seem. Them law and order types tend to rub most other folk the wrong way, and this one more than most.
Bloody hells, man. You don't half roll dice well. Your kind blessed or something? I mean... you wouldn't be cheating us or anything... would you? Nah, of course you wouldn't. That'd be no way to treat new friends."
Ned says the last carefully watching Ro's movements, as the four men grumble about beginners luck, though each of them opts to continue and puts another gold piece into the pot to take their turn trying to break the genasi's winning streak.

A'ro just chuckled "Always gettin' in da wa' of those tryn' to mak' som' money." He says tossing his coin in to meet the ante "Must be luck of da jinn. Cheatin' would't be wort' it mate, easy way ta get gutted." He just picked up three of the dice and rerolled them "Don' car' to 'et gutted anyti'e soon ma'e."
At Ro's roll, Ned's face goes red, Shawn's eyes pop wide and Bailey chokes slightly on his ale. Maggot for his part just sits there smiling benignly, even as Ned shakes his head and says through gritted teeth,'
"****... me... dead! Luck of the Jinn, eh? Well, this game's done I reckon. Nevermind though, as I've got someone to introduce you to, since I figure that we could maybe use someone with your lucky charms, Ro."
With that, Ned pushes the ten gold piece pot to Ro even as the other men all nod agreement at their apparent surrender. Ned then stands up and motions towards the door that leads into the back room that seems to be perpetually emitting the strong smell of pipe weed. As the other three men quickly finish their drinks and stand up to follow, Ned says,'

A'ro just blinks "Wel' shite gues' i's ma lu'ky da'" he says downing his drink as he collects his gold and looks at Ned. He just stands and begins to follow the man.
Right?"
"I'd say you should take Miss Kay with you," looking to Kay, "No offense, I know you're a better fighter than me. But some of these folks may remember you in relation to the killing whereas they may remember me as a cook, so I'm less likely to have to fight.", looking back to Kestrell "I'll stay and wait for A'ro."
Kay chews her lip a bit nervously, "Unfortunately, all I was able t'glean was that th'missing 'quipment doesn't appear t'be in back of this tavern. If'n w'cannot find it with the Luskan crooks t'may warrant a second look."
"Looks like we may have a long evening ahead of us then. Here is what I think we should do: Get these delicious baked goods to the ship, explore the wharf for Luskans and see where that leads. If no where, maybe hit the Prancing Pirate again for some leads. What do you think about all that?"
Kay looks distant for a moment, lost in her own dreams of Lorena as Kestrell mentions the Prancing Pirate. She shakes her head clear her voice cracking from embarrassment, "Sounds good. But listen, if it's thieves we're after t'may behoove us t'be less... brazen than y've been. I don't claim t'know your experience in such matters, but... let's just say my own is significant." she pats her belt pouch gently as Rudd stirs inside.
Kestrell slaps his head and looks back: "I forgot about Dekket! we've got to introduce him to the captain. He must be back with Vaken, waiting for A'ro."
"I would appreciate that yes" replies Dekket with a smile. " Do you guys lack of a position in the crew? like navigator or I should just aim for sailor?"
Kay leaps forward, turning, hand on the hilt of her shortsword. She holds back a yelp, breathes to calm herself, then holds her hand out to Dekket in greeting,"'Pologies... er... Dekket was it? M'called Kay by most, m'a simple sailor with little actual experience at sea." she looks distant for a moment, reminiscing."As t'your question, Master Kestrell here s'the navigator, and as I recall w're not short on officers, but on hands. As it happens y'll want t'talk to th'captain regardless. Th'first mate an' bosun're sure t'find you a job."
A'ro just blinks "Wel' shite gues' i's ma lu'ky da'" he says downing his drink as he collects his gold and looks at Ned. He just stands and begins to follow the man.
Ned just smirks at Ro's response, as he and the other three men all surround and usher the genasi towards the backroom door. As you all approach it, the huge bear-like man behind the bar growls out,'
"Room's for smokers only. You wharf rats should go round the back."
Ned just laughs the directive away, continuing his stride as he replies in a confident and dismissive voice,'
"Bah! Just going to speak to Nelson, then we'll be going down to our room. You've been paid, Barney Barney... and you wouldnt want our mutual friend thinking that you'd interferred with our... interests, would you?'
When the giant, surly proprietor only glowers back in response, Ned chuckles darkley and opens the door to the smoke-filled room beyond, beckoning for Ro to enter.
