I'm going to go ahead and PM them then and see if I can get a response. If not/just so yous know, I did finally get a response on that thread I posted looking for a DM on this game awhile back. Someone else has offered to pick up the campaign for us if BMonk can't continue and if everyone else is okay with it.

Viaya Morbrew - Imela: The Adventure Begins - High Elf/Rogue (Level 1)
No problem pbp! :) I want to keep this game running as much as yous do so I'm happy to help. As of this morning, I haven't heard from BMonk yet but I have work and school until later this afternoon so I'll check again then. If not or if BMonk decides they'd prefer to come back in as player instead of the DM, I'll let the other DM know he's good to step in.

Viaya Morbrew - Imela: The Adventure Begins - High Elf/Rogue (Level 1)
Hi everyone, I'm looking forward to taking on the role of DM. I'm happy to keep the game here, and of course there's an open invitation to BMonk to join the game at any time. :)
Fresh from their recent adventures, a band of brave souls find themselves in the city of Neverwinter, where they accept a simple escort mission. Their employer, the dwarf Gundren Rockseeker, sets off ahead by horseback along with his human friend, Sildar Hallwinter. You follow behind with a cart of supplies to be delivered to the town of Phandalin. You travel down the High Road and east along the Triboar Trail for just over two days.
You are travelling through a forested area; the trees thick on either side of the road. It's early afternoon; the sun is bright on a warm spring day, and the party is in good spirits. You come across two horses, lying dead in the road; they are clearly those of Gundren and Sildar. As you begin to investigate, four goblins jump out from the forest and attack.
Thanks so much Steve - it's great to meet you and welcome to our little campaign! Very excited to get this rolling again and hopefully BMonk can join us again upon their return.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
(Welcome in Steve everybody. :) As of today, I still haven't heard anything from BMonk so Steve is picking up things for us and leaving it open for B to join back in as a player if they come back. I'm super excited to keep going with everyone! This is gonna be awesome!)
Idalie is already stepping back as Ophirinn speaks. Starting to nod her agreement and offer to cover him and Panther Nate from the wagon with her bow when Brom interrupts. Pointing out something not right with their surroundings just as four small, unhappily familiar figures leap from the underbrush. Goblins! With an arrow already knocked, the gnome shoots on instinct, aiming for the closest one on the left side of the trail.
Idalie takes aim and shoots with amazing speed; the arrow flies straight towards Goblin 2, piercing its left eye. There's the beginning of a squawk of surprise, cut short as the body topples back onto the road. Goblin 2 is dead.
Ophirinn takes a second to admire the little gnome's skills before stepping forward and grabbing hold of his holy symbol. "You will throw down your weapons!" he bellows.
Uses Channel Divinity: Order's Demand, Wis save, DC 12
(As an action, you present your holy symbol, and each creature of your choice that can see or hear you within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw or be charmed by you until the end of your next turn or until the charmed creature takes any damage. You can also cause any of the charmed creatures to drop what they are holding when they fail the saving throw.
Ophirinn, your holy command rings out across the woodland area.
WIS save for Goblins 1, 3 and 4: 51413
Goblin 1, having seen its companion slain instantly by an arrow, seems bewildered, drops its scimitar, and looks to you for guidance on how to act. It seem unsure of what's happening, but still hostile towards the others, particularly Idalie. It snarls and shakes its head, trying to clear its thoughts.
Goblins 3 and 4 seem unaffected.
(9) Goblin 3 and Goblin 4 (armed with shortbows)
Goblin 3 looks at the body of its fallen friend, and raises its shortbow to shoot at Idalie:
Attack: 23 Damage: 8
It's a deadly shot, striking the gnome ranger in the side. It hurts. A lot.
Goblin 4 is instead looking in confusion at the cleric whose shout seems to have affected Goblin 1. Its eyes narrow as it clearly suspects magic, and it takes a shot at Ophirinn:
Attack: 20 Damage: 6
The arrow slices past your neck, cutting a deep gash. Blood starts flowing at an alarming rate, but the arrow does not stick.
(8) Goblin 1 and Goblin 2 (armed with scimitars)
Goblin 2 is dead.
Goblin 1 is confused, charmed and unarmed, but still hostile to the rest of the party. Slowly, it reaches down and picks up its scimitar. As it does so, it speaks in goblin, but none of you understand it (unless Nate speaks goblin?). It takes the dodge action, still looking to Ophirinn for some explanation of what's going on.
Nate in Panther form from the side of the road looks on as Idalie's arrow strikes true. His eyes then widen in excitement as he sees Ophirinn raise his holy symbol and command the goblins.
...excitement which very quickly changes to fear as he sees a lot of blood coming from both of his comrades from the goblins arrows.
Nate lets out a deep growl and bolts forward out from the woods, not really taking time to think things through after seeing Idalie and Ophirinn's wounds leak blood. He just knew he needed to act.
He will run as fast as he can to Goblin 3 and attempt to POUNCE on him (If the Panther moves at least 20 feet straight toward a creature and then hits it with a claw attack on the same turn, that target must succeed on a DC 12 Strength saving throw or be knocked prone. If the target is prone, the panther can make one bite attack against it as a bonus action.)
Here are my rolls:
Claw attack: 11 Claw Damage if needed: 4
If the Claw hits and the Goblin fails their save and is knocked down, here's the subsequent Bite attack: 21 Bite Damage if needed: 7
Goblin 3 gives a yelp of surprise as the panther burst from the treeline and charges it. It raises its bow up in an attempt to fend off the attack, and manages to push the panther away and to the side. The attack does not succeed, but Goblin 3 and 4 both look extremely alarmed at the massive cat now threatening them.
Seeing his comrades wounded Brom clenched his jaw and charged forward towards Goblin 4 using the momentum of his charge he swings his Hammer upwards just to see how far he can launch the little guy.
Roll to attack: 18
Damage: 6
Then with a grunt Brom would use action surge to look towards Goblin 3 and grab one of the hand axes he keeps on his belt and throws it at him.
To attack: 24
Damage:6
Ooc: quick thing for the dm, first welcome so far you're amazing, second Brom has a feat that allows him to "protect" someone within 5 feet of him against an attack that he can see. It takes a reaction to cast and Brom needs to have his shield. The attack is rolled with disadvantage. So if Brom is within range of any of his friends especially those who are squishy he would use it. Also can I try to intimidate Goblin 1 after seeing what I did to his buddies.
(Hi, and thanks (to everyone!) for the warm welcome. :) )
Brom, your hammer swings and slams into Goblin 4's shoulder; he staggers and almost drops his bow, but manages to stay upright. Goblin 3 is less fortunate, however. Your handaxe embeds itself in his skull, and he drops like a stone. Goblin 3 is dead.
Initiative order: Round Two (19) Idalie (12) Ophirinn (9) Goblin 4 (armed with a shortbow) (8) Goblin 1 (armed with a scimitar) (5) Nate (3) Brom
(Goblins 2 and 3 are both dead. Goblin 1 is looking a bit confused, but isn't hurt, while Goblin 4 is quite badly injured. Panther Nate and Brom are close to Goblin 4, but not actually in melee range (5 feet). Idalie and Ophirinn are a little further away, but still within the quite small combat area.)
(OOC: @Nomadicgmr: This is the Fighter's 'Protection' fighting style, right? How would you like to apply it? You only get one reaction each round, so you can't use that and take an Opportunity Attack on the same round, for example. What is Brom's general approach to using his ability? Will he ignore Opportunity Attacks and keep his Protection? Will he particularly protect one member of the party?)
Not I said the Druid
He was last active 5 days ago
I'm going to go ahead and PM them then and see if I can get a response. If not/just so yous know, I did finally get a response on that thread I posted looking for a DM on this game awhile back.
