Assuming that nothing happens and everyone is able to sleep peacefully through the night, Olive heads back down and when everyone has arrived and eaten, she'll set out. "Well, I suppose it's time for us to be speaking with the Order, isn't it?"

Xenophon: Topaz Dragonborn Fighter (ixi's Dragon of Icespire Peak)
It is a long and restless night. Having just slept a short time ago, what little sleep you manage to get is plagued by remnants of the previous night's dream.
When you meet back up in the common room of the tavern early the next morning, it is empty of all but a foxlike humanoid tending the bar and a couple of travelers preparing for their day.
Jove looks tired and yawns. "Good morning, all. Let's get this started. I have somewhere I need to be in a couple days; can't miss it. Maybe let's ask the bartender for directions?"
Abraxas wears his book bags, though he's still not sure how they were packed. He stretches and twists his fingers. "I'm ready when you all are." He moves toward the door.
Jove says, "oh right. My brain is a bit jumbly on account of being teleported to an entirely different planet."
OOC: Whenever Jove uses his telepathy, you can all read it if you want. I don't really care, as I have no secrets while playing. I use it as I feel it helps with the role playing and makes it feel like actual telepathy. Just thought I'd mention that. Feel free to do what you want.
Jove uses telepathy to speak to Iz:
Hello Iz, this is Jove. I am speaking to you using telepathy. I just thought I'd ask. Is that a familiar? I have one too. I am always embarassed to bring it out, as I feel people would judge me a bit. Mine is more special than a squirrel or hawk. Anyway, maybe Roxy and my familiar could play and be friends while there aren't a lot of onlookers? Caiphon likes being out, but I am just scared of how people react...
Isabella looks a bit unsettled at receiving a telepathic message. "Uh... right, I'd say I dabble in magic, though truth be told I study very diligently, I'm just not that good at it. Summoned Roxy here kinda by accident when I was trying my hand at conjuration, scared the living daylights out of me she did. But, she's always stuck by me so we're good friends now." Isabella shares a ration of dried meat with the owl. "She's a sweet girl, never hurt a thing, always makin' me do the dirty work ey girl?" She rubs the owl under the beak and Roxy snaps at her fingers. Iz whispers to the bird but doesn't really change her volume, "Cut it out, you're embarrassing me..."
Iz shrugs, "Roxy's always just been Roxy. Don't tell anyone, but I suspect that she might be the brains of the operation... between the two of us I mean."
Even knowing your strange location, the sight that greets you outside of the Laughing Rhino is shocking. A number of moons can be seen in the sky even during the bright hours of day, the largest being a dull red color, hanging ominously above you. The city you are in is a mixture of above and below ground housing, with many tunnels and cavern entrances leading below. The Order of Thalassa is not difficult to find, as it is one of the largest structures in the city. As you walk across the city you see many dwarves and gnomes attending to business to and from the tunnels, as well as a small number of humans and elves. The rest of the populace is an odd assortment of what appear to be humanoid animals - the same foxlike and catlike folk that inhabited the tavern last night dominate the scene, with a few humanoids that look like ravens and goats. One inhabitant looks identical to a plant, until it begins moving and you see that it is in fact another humanoid, with four arms and two branch-like legs.
The imposing Order of Thalassa is a bustling hub of activity. Many humanoids are in the building, some studying artifacts or pulling books from shelves, others hard at work at writing desks. A notice board with many flyers posted to it is to the side of the entrance, and an ancient, weathered human woman looks up at you from a greeting desk as you enter.
Violet looks with wonder at the multiple moons in the sky. "That dwarf really wasn't joking when he said that we're in another world." When she arrives at the Order of Thalassa, she greets the human woman. "Hello. We're here to ask some questions about an Ice Basilisk. We were told that it's been cursing the land and that the last group who saw it mutated, although they weren't the best of people."

The old woman gazes over the party one at a time, looking each member up and down. "Hmm, I see. Well, if you believe the Lugat, then yes, it is cursed, but that has yet to be proven," she says.
She speaks slowly, but firmly, as she summarizes the situation. "That statue has brought the worst kinds of attention. It may have some magic to it that is causing an effect; animals are fleeing the area, and there has been an increase in goblin activity. We would like it investigated, and destroyed if the rumors are true. There is no monetary reward, but anything discovered in the area is yours; the statue rests upon the site where Varokaj was abandoned to the Vandyr creatures fourteen years ago. It is a two or three week journey to the east, at Loch Varokaj." She marks the location on a map, and hands it to you.
Three notices on the board stand out to Jove as he looks it over:
Reward: 200 gold
The Order of Thalassaseeks help in recovering an artifact from Vandyr. Reward of 200 gold pieces per contractor, to a maximum of 1400 gold pieces. See Mitsi for information.
Help Wanted
with investigating the "Ice Basilisk" at Loch Varokaj. See Mitsi at the Order of Thalassa for information.
The Annual Vandyr Hunt is near!
Despite what you may have heard, Mayor Cheval is once again sponsoring a great hunt. Think you have what it takes to compete? Sign up today at the Fiend's Forge!
Jove says, "Two or three weeks journey. That is quite the trek. A lot of things could happen during that time. A strange and deadly place Toril is." He says emphasizing Toril, to see if there is any reaction from the woman. "Only fourteen years ago, but three weeks away. That seems quite far to be causing any trouble around these parts. Maybe something you did angered the gods?"
"What are you concerned about happening during those two or three weeks, Mr. Jove? I think that the five of us are perfectly capable of taking care of ourselves."

"I have three questions, perhaps silly ones," Abraxas says. "What are a Lugat, Varokaj, and Vandyr?" he says. "Four questions, actually. Did you have to answer similar questions for the party that came before us? The ones who came back changed? Are they people we could visit?" He looks at Olive and asks Mitsi, "What kinds of creatures might we encounter should we travel toward the Loch?"
Assuming that nothing happens and everyone is able to sleep peacefully through the night, Olive heads back down and when everyone has arrived and eaten, she'll set out. "Well, I suppose it's time for us to be speaking with the Order, isn't it?"

"So Isabella, how'd you get an owl to come traveling with you anyway?"

"Let's talk as we walk across town. You've learned to wield weapons as well? Like Olive?"

He joins Olive in the Order, listening intently to the woman's response.
