"It sure does Lila, but then maybe he just didn't like him much." a voice carries from further down the alleyway, as the party look up the man they see is casually leaning against the wall "Don't worry, I just need to pass on the message that Kyve would like you to meet him at the Burning Castle, or at least around the back of it, and despite what you may think does want you to bring the body. He is expecting you shortly." He stays where he is, waiting.
You recognise him as one of the men you met when you spoke to Kyve, Lila knows his name to be Csaba, another of the Oilers.

"Cheer up Wallis, We haven't done a single thing wrong! We recovered a dead body while helping protect the citizens of the cracks from those shadow dog things!" He would say as the dead body shifts and flops in his arms. "Hell, we may as well be the city watch at this rate.. except we just made a lot more coin than they do in a week" He would say with a small smile before continuing. "Do you think the city watch get all upset every time they come across the dead body of some lowlife here in the cracks... He was a member of a street gang and a thief that was regularly cheating on the woman who loved him.." He would say looking around before pointing to the corpse slung over his shoulder "But don't feel bad for this guy... I.." Brock would say before quickly stopping as the voice came from down the alley.
"Hey... you wan't to carry this for me?" Brock would ask the Oiler from down the alley. Regardless of his response, Brock would happily follow to the burning castle, eager to be rid of the body.
"People don't usually tell a pickpocket they are carrying a lot of gold but you don't look like someone I'd want to get caught by." Csaba says and then chuckles to himself, before tipping an imaginary hat to the group and walking off into the gloom ignoring the request to carry the body. "Word to the wise though he was a popular part of the gang, don't disrespect him like that when there are more of them than you." comes his voice through the darkness

Lila groans. "Damn drama queen," she mutters. "Hello to you too, Csaba. Shall we?" She casts an inquiring look at the others. "I'm sure this'll be fun." She winks and sets off for the Burning Castle. "Oh, and let me handle the talking for this one please."
"If he was liked as that one says,"Valen begins to Wallis as he steps next to Brock and plucks an eyelash again, "perhaps they will take care of him."He touches the monk again and causes him to disappear. "Just remember though, people are just trying to survive on this side of the city. You are going to have trouble finding glimmers of humanity... regardless of how good a hunter you are,"his tone matter-of-fact.
The party head off in the direction of the Burning Castle, the night is well underway and the streets are quiet, and dark. Wallis has no problems but the others still experience the disorientating feeling of moving through the flickers of small lights and the darkness around them.
As the arrive they can see the tavern is still open and the music and voices carry out into the street. The food vendors have gone and the roads are empty, the party skirt around and find themselves in a small square, walls on three sides, one of them being the back of the tavern. A small fire is burning in a stone bowl that seems to be expressly for that purpose and they see Kyve sitting on the far side. Halting on the edge of the square the group see a number of other men inside and at least one woman, they recognise Csaba sitting up on the top of the wall in the furthest corner and Lila knows several of the others by sight. Wallis, Brock and Valen saw some of them from inside the tavern earlier.
"Come in, share my fire, tell me a story, oh and can the big one make himself visible again now?" Kyve looks a little tired, and there is an edge to his voice that wasn't there before, he seems to be addressing Lila mostly.

Brock would make his way with the group, trying to keep himself far enough away from the others they they didn't bump into him while invisible. When Kyve asks him to turn back to normal, Brock would speak up. "Yeah.. no problem... I am not sure I can do it though.. I think my friend has to help me..." He would say turning to look at Valen, not that Valen can see him do it.
"Well, it is not on him that is invisible," Valen says to Kyve, trying to prepare him for what all will be revealed. He snaps his fingers lightly and drops the illusory veil.
Lila rolls her eyes and walks over, staring straight back at Kyve and apparently unaffected by his tired annoyance. "Glandon's dead, obviously," she says without preamble, keeping her voice low enough that only Kyve and the other three in the group can hear. "Found him in the Cracks with a knife in his back and was promptly attacked by some dogs under the control of a couple people a little too enamored of the "mysterious darkness" tactic. The big guy's got the knife, if you want to take a look." She quietly keeps an eye on the others out in the plaza, keeping an eye out for sudden movements or weapons being drawn.
As the spell drops and Brock is revealed to the Oilers a few gasps come from the men despite them presumably knowing what they were going to see. Kyve stands and walks out from behind the fire, his long golden hair darkening as he becomes a silhouette. "Obviously. Do you know who did it?" He walks closer to Brock and looks at the pit fighter squarely in the eyes. "Put him down by the fire please, and I would like to see the knife."

Lila shakes her head. "Tunnel was empty other than the body when I found him, so that knife's probably your best, albeit slim, chance of figuring it out."
Brock would lock eyes with the man for a second or two before moving towards the fire and laying the body down gently on the ground. Once he was free of the body, he would roll his neck and shoulders.. stretching our a big with a few loud cracks before pulling the knife from his belt. He would spin the blade around so that the handle was facing Kyve before extending his hand with the weapon towards him. "I looked it over and didn't see anything that could tell me who it had belonged to... but maybe you'll have more luck." Brock would say before taking a step backwards.
Looking at the knife in the firelight Kyve doesn't respond immediately then quietly says "Yes, maybe I will." He takes the knife and slides it into an empty sheath at his hip. "I have another question. How did you know where to look? In a few hours you found him with the whole area to search, tell me how." His voice changes as he speaks as if he is feeling contrasting emotions.

Lila shrugs. "I asked where he's been seen and followed his trail like that." Her eyes flick across Kyve's form, including the no longer empty sheath, and her body tenses infinitesimally, her hands suddenly going still.
(OOC: Does the sheath look like it fits the knife?)
Brock would glance over to Wallis and Valen before looking back to Kyve. "We simply started by going to his apartment... then followed a clue that lead us to the tattoo shop. When we spoke to the owner of the tattoo shop, she made it clear he wasn't there.. so we searched the nearby crack and found her standing near his dead body." He would say pointing to Lila before gesturing to the corpse.
"The door to his place was locked when we got there... we found the key and discovered a note inside... I think Wallis or Valen still have it... It was signed someone that went by *K*... " Brock would say very nonchalant. "The only *K* we could think of that we know to be associated to our dead friend was you... and well it looks like the knife that was stuck in his back belonged to you as well... " Brock would raise an eye brow and quickly glance to the Kyve and the other Oilers before continuing. "But I dont know why you would go through the effort to hire someone to find a person that you yourself had killed.. so either you are being framed or just trying to cover your tracks... Either way I dont really care I suppose. We were only hired to find out what happened to him and we have already been paid for the job well done.... so unless you have a job for us, I plan to get myself a nice meal followed by a warm bath" Bfock would say with a smile.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Wallis has been intensely silent through the walk into the city from Segan's and pointedly through the exchange with the Oilers and Kvye but once she sees him take rhe dagger only to put it away her expression changes from nervous disdain to outrage! The ranger remains silent again looking to Brock then to Valen before stepping closer to Brock. She remains quiet still looking for any sort of threat!
