"Good, let us eat, relax and waste the time of Cordych as he sits alone, missing out on all our plans and schemes!" Kyve chuckles to himself more than anyone else. With a few gestures and brief orders the area is quickly transformed into an impromptu dining room, tables are moved and chairs positioned to have the group sit in a vaguely oval shape, Kyve making sure everybody has a drink and once the table is set, food from the kitchens downstairs are brought up, a delicious smelling mix or spicy meats and vegtables, as well as flatbreads, and a large bowl of soup which everyone is served from, containing a mix of stir-fried vegtables and think strips of fiery meat. Everyone is invited to serve them sevles and then Kyve lets the conversation move around the table as people get to know each other through small talk and Kyve's gentle questioning. The rogue has a good idea of how far to push someone and steers clear of prying but encourages the group and his own friends to get better acquainted.
As the meal finishes and wine is served to those who want it Kyve clears his throat theatrically. "Friends, I hope we have made a start in getting to know each other, I hope it will be a mutually beneficial alliance." The golden-haired man is charm personified, winning smiles and effortless camaraderie with all assembled. But the more observant can see that there is a touch of stage management at work, he clearly wants everythign to be a success and has a lot invested in it.
"This is no dictatorship, I would hear all of your own thoughts in how to best remove Mrancsi, I have ideas, mostly centered on discrediting him in the eyes of his superiors, but does anyone wish to start?"

Kit is chatty and cheerful during the meal, talking plenty while managing to avoid actually giving much information about herself. She turns down the offer of wine and nods at Kyve. "Discrediting him could certainly be good. Generally embarrassing him, possibly even implying he's growing unfit for duty-one way or another-might all serve to take him down." She nibbles her lip. "What are his connections? People he trusts in the guard, close friends, possibly even family, et cetera?"
"I don't want to hurt anyone," Wallis says loudly and abruptly almost startling herself.
Wallis has been nursing the mead she order awhile ago and has barely touched the food. She observes everyone but adds little to the conversation and keeps looking ar Kit, Brock, and Valen who seem to have just fallen into their new company without much reservation.
"Innocent people can be related to the guilty. I will harm no innocent," Wallis clarifies her statement.

"I was more thinking impersonation to get close to him," Kit explains to Wallis. "Valen can do his thing, and there are other ways to impersonate someone too. It could be a good way to get close and plant things if we need to, or something like that."
"This could be the direction we take, I have no idea what type of defenses or security he has in place, this might work better than I could have hoped for if you can just walk in there and ruin him this easily." Kyve is clearly taken with the idea . "We could try and infiltrate his offices, but again you seem like the most likely to succeed of us all, we command no magics and therefore could fall foul of even a fairly diligent guard at any point."
Looking over at Wallis he adds "I understand he has no family, here in the city at least, and he seems to have more contacts than friends, he spends most of his time alone or with a few of his senior servants, there is something he does with his free time, but he travels quickly by horseback and leaves the Cracks heading towards the Valias, our kind struggle to avoid attention there and so we have been unable to find out where he goes.
OOC - The Valias is the high class district where the wealthiest people of Dzendalin live, Valen would know it extensively, it is unlikely the rest of you have spent any time there, Kit is probably familiar enough to know all the major landmarks and streets etc but not the details. The Imperial Palace is on the edge of the district and the High temple to Pholtus is also there.
"I guess that is a better idea that mine..." Brock would say with a mouth full of food. "I was going to say sneak a few stolen items from important people into his bedroom and pockets.. maybe place forge some documents from him that seem to show that he has been extorting businesess and using the watch to terrify the masses into paying him protection money.." The muscular man would say.. "sneak a dead body into his house..." He would finish with a shrug as he gulps some wine.
Kit nods. "Discrediting is definitely a lot better than killing him. If he's found dead now, it'll invite vengeance more than change. If he's shown to be incompetent and even possibly corrupt, people will be nervous to appoint someone like him too soon." Her eyes turn thoughtful. "Sounds like we might be planning a stealth recon trip to the Valias at some point. Possibly just one or two of us." She nibbles her lip. "If we can recon and get an idea of what the people he trusts look like, infiltration could be easy just by having someone take on the appearance of the snottiest, whoever's most likely to blow past the guards without talking-the less talking, the less likely for cover to get blown." Kit grins, a plan clearly starting to come together in her mind. "Yes, infiltration could definitely work."
"Oh, come now! We just saw innocent people getting hurt," Valen says turning to Wallis. "Which innocents would you care to help more?"
He nods along as the planning continues. "I would prefer to be as discrete as possible in our actions. The less talking the better. I am no actor and can only provide minor mimicry with with voice." Looking to Kyve, "Do you know of any vices that we could exploit? Everyone loves a good scandal and it's always harded to win in the court of public opinion, especially that that reside in Valias."
"I didn't harm a single innocent," Wallis growls at Valen. "I expect you'll do the same if possible," she adds firmly. "I can't stop the actions of others but I can act as my conscious dictates," she explains. "This man is so terrible who's to say he wouldn't be replaced by someone more terrible," she adds with a sigh. "I'll follow your lead," she looks at Kit then Brock.

"No need to become feral," Valen replies with a chuckle. "You misunderstand my meaning. It appears you care more for the family of this man than the innocents that he is harming. And even if he does have a family, they say the apple doesn't fall far from the tree."
Kit glances at Valen, a faint frown appearing momentarily on her face before she turns to Wallis. "There's a routine here, usually," she explains. "People don't like the Cracks, but they leave them more or less alone, because they know how dangerous it is to take direct action, and eventually places like this spring back up again. Especially if we make the Prelate unpopular enough to be ousted, people will be wary for a while of appointing another person who takes the 'purging of the unclean' approach."
Kit shrugs. "Just because there's a temple doesn't mean the people inside them are virtuous." she says softly. "Even the most well-intentioned religions can give birth to fanaticism."
"I don't think there are any evil temples in Dzendalin, flaunting their nature Wallis but there are greedy men, who misuse their power for personal gain at the expense of others. The world doesn't always play out like the bard's songs you know?" Kyve shrugs "Mrancsi, is a problem, whether or not he is truly a bad man or just misguided he still has to be stopped. I believe he is worth removing, otherwise I would not speak of it. Perhaps we should go and see this man that we all wish to topple. He will be attending the high prayers in the Great Temple in the Valias later today, and tomorrow he will inspect guard posts here in the cracks, we understand. Do you think either of these opportunities worth your time?"
"Perhaps you could get a good look at him... listen to the way he talks... and change your face to look like him" Brock would say taking a bite of meat before wiping juice from his face with the back of his hand. He would continue chewing for a bit, looking at his food before looking to Valen. "Right? You could do something like that? You could make yerself a.. uhh.. .Per-Soh-Nu..." He would say with a quick glance to Kit. "Then ya just have to go out and start committing crimes while disquised as our man... Then he takes the fall... everyone wins!" Brock would say excitedly.
Kit nibbles her lip. "Impersonation could certainly help our cause greatly," she agrees. "And seeing him both in a religious and military position would be very useful."
Valen dabs the corner of his mouth after taking a bite of food. He takes a sip of his wine and clears his throat. "Having a look at the man is surely a good idea. However, I would want to make sure no one isn't pulling this one's strings and make sure there isn't a bigger culprit to consider before taking any decisive action against Mrancsi."
"A good point, although if people senior to Mrancsi are organising this aggression then we might want to consider running away with our tails between our legs, his superiors are the elite of Pholtus and extremely powerful, both in the eyes of their god and in the power they wield in the city, they would be known personally by the Empress undoubtedly." Kyve looks highly concerned at the prospect "But things are not always as they seem and Valen's point has merit, prudence" he pauses, looking pointedly at Brock "might be wise until we are certain of our purpose."
The light-hearted nature returns swiftly thought "And then when we are certain, a plan of great daring and risk resulting in the resounding victory the people here need!" He raises his glass, although it is clear he is attempting to be humorous rather than genuinely as upbeat as he portrays himself.
