Alten stands up and lines up behind Grom, ready to follow.
Again, master dwarves, I apologize for alarming you. I was just trying to make a small point in a humorous way. I guess inter-species humor isn't quite as advanced as I thought.
The guards simply shake their head at you and open the door. Once inside you find a well decorated entryway that leads into a lobby of sorts. An older dwarf sits at an oaken desk in the center of the hall. As you approach you notice multiple doors to the left and right of the desk. The dwarf wears a thick pair of glasses and does not look up from his writing as you enter, but says with a raspy voice, "How may I help?"
I am looking for Captain Torvold.
“Do you have an appointment? The captain is a busy man as I’m sure you know.”
My deepest Apologies but i do not, i know the Captain is a Busy man these days, Could you just pass along a message to him. Grom pulls from his pocket a small scroll. its sealed with his family crest in Red Wax. He hands it to the older dwarf. *As the gentleman receives the scroll a few gold pieces will fall out of it into his hand aswell*
Grom will take a look around the room does he see a door or any markings on the walls as to which way the Capt might be? Perception: 11
The dwarf opens a thick ledger, "Well.. you're in luck.. it seems you have a window of opportunity in the next fifteen minutes to meet with the captain. He should be in his office. Take the stairs to the left, make a right at the top, and continue to you see the office marked with his name. It will be on the left side of the hall.. he has a nice window that overlooks the courtyard."
DM Note: You don't spot a directory or anything of the sort, lol. But have directions now ;)

Thank you sir. Let's go folks.
We head to the office as directed.
How well do you know this guy, Grom? Is he going to help us?

As we make our way the described route, "Me and Torvold go back a long long time, we grew up together. My family happen to be of Royal Nature, but Torvold's Kin were the Royal guards, and we basically grew up as brothers! we have fought alongside each other, and have spilled blood, and beer together. Time has escaped us and we have gone different paths... he will be surprised to see me after all these years as my life has taken a turn, but Torvold being a in a royal guard was in his blood he was litterly made for this purpose"
(assuming Talien is now guarded by the guards that have our belongings, Talien will make work of cleaning everyone's weapons)
Why would they be guarding you? I thought you surrendered your weapons too
(Just my assumption as I am sure they have never seen a warforged and are a bit uneasy, and now I am handling weaponry again)
I see.. the dwarves do have tinkerers and may assume you're an automoton unless you give them reason to suspect otherwise.. but you're free to stay behind.
As Grom knocks on the door to the Captain's office it reveals nothing but darkness behind...
The "camera" pulls away, revealing a man typing away on his computer. A soft voice in the background says "Come to bed honey, it feels like you've been working on that thing for years..."
All good things come to an end...
It has been a real privilege to collaborate on this story. Thank you to everyone who has contributed along the way! Unfortunately, like all good things, it must come to an end, but look out for future campaigns by giving me a follow. Until next time - thank you for reading!
