LMAO well it was worth a shot

Grom lunges at the creature attempting to grab it at the waist, but the creature is too quick and dances to the right. Grom readjusts and makes another swipe, but the creature is once again to swift and hops backwards. Grom looks a bit silly as his arms close around thin air.
Alten will make a non-leathal attack with the scimitar (adv for flanking). For flavor, call it trying to bring the butt end of the handle down on his head to KO him.
Attack: 20 Damage: 4
As the creature jumps back to avoid Grom's attempt to subdue it, Alten lifts his sword arm straight up and brings the pommel of his scimitar down on the creature's head. The creature's eyes seem to go blank for a moment, but it shakes off the injury.

He will turn say Question this thing and kill it. It tried to hurt Grom and then us, lied about Arxius and Rees and bashed you up. If you don't end this thing once you are done I will. It would be nice to have someone on our side that could disguise themselves like that, but this (pointing at the creature on the floor) is not our ally. What about the new lady you saw before in the city. She could be one of them!
Talien eyes still red will grasp his sword in both hands and turn to stare at the copy of the person Alten spoke to in town
Talien's metal fist slams into the creature's temple. You watch as its eyes roll back and it suddenly collapses sideways onto the hard stone floor. It lies there still and unmoving on the cold ground as Talien goes on his tirade.
Corkie hears Talien from the doorway to the goblin prison and says, "You think the impostor at the temple could be one of these things? I would very much like to find out what it is, so I may restore order to my shrine and the village!" As she is speaking she pulls a small silver mirror out of a front robe pocket and opens it. She mutters a few words then points the mirror at the creature and says, "For this reason and to prevent you from killing it until I get some answers, I grant this creature sanctuary!"

DM Note: Nice job capturing this creature... you each get 116 XP.
You all turn to look at Corkie and watch as a little ball of white light shoots out of the mirror and rushes towards the unconscious copy of Arxius laying on the floor. It hits the body and and expands into a blanket like translucent coating that spreads across the entire body then seems to sink into it and dissipate within an instant.
"There that should prevent you from doing it physical harm for a moment. Now quickly drag it into the room... the cell might not work since the bars are all bent. Slap the pair of manacles you opened on him though. Quickly now!"
"I know what it is," Rees says softly, but with enough force to be heard. "Or at least I'm pretty sure I do. It's a Doppelgänger. I heard stories of them growing up... We need to ask some questions and then I agree with Talien - after we get answers, we kill it. And if it starts to shift again, it might be able to escape the manacles so...just...be on your guard, everyone."
"Pelor ordains that his priests rid the world of darkness and evil... and this creature seems to thrive in it -- I am in agreement with you all.. but after we get answers."
Rees will help Talien lock up the Doppelgänger, but she's not making eye contact with anyone.
Corkie stands aside and lets the pair of you into the goblin prison dragging the Doppelgänger behind you. You slap the open pair of manacles onto the creature's wrists and ensure they are snug. It does look like the creature will be getting out of its situation anytime soon.

Let's just see what he can tell us? Talien, can you tie him up, grab him, and keep hold of him?
To Corkey
Some of the priest that taught me could cast a spell that compels the truth. You don't happen to have that one up your sleeve do you?

Insight roll? Is she bluffing? How is she casting a spell right out of the cage? Alten doesn't actually say anything.
OOC No material components or spell focus presumably or why was she still in the cage?
To Rees
Good idea to use the manacles. Slap a pair on him and lock them Bach up with your tools please.
