Grom will just kinda walk around the trophy room.. inspecting where the dragon was.. just kinda kinda boggled that they came face to face with a dragon and didn't fight it... Maybe he gets lucky and finds and random dragon scale.. maybe he just stands there trying to figure out if this is all a dream or if this is really happening.. he will take a swig from his flask and then he will go join the others In the room.
You walk behind the table where Calcryx was keeping her hoard and spot 1 white nearly translucent scales that seems to have molted off. You pick them it up, careful of the ice, and pocket them the small treasure with a smile as they it is affirmation the encounter took place.
You move across the room quite as a door mouse on the hunt for cheese checking the doors and looking for traps.
Starting with the southern door at the far end of the room (west) and moving clockwise:
Three nasally voices conversations in goblin from behind the door to room 36b.The door doesn’t appear to be trapped.
As you cross the room and listen behind the door to room 40 the smoke grows thicker and bothers your eyes. You focus on rubbing them rather than listening for noises. You also don’t spot any signs of traps.
You get to the doors set in the northern wall. You don’t hear any noises from the one furthest west, nor the last and middle door. Neither of these appears to be trapped. The smoke lessens as you return to the eastern side of the room to report your findings.

“More Goblins that way,” Arxius mutters as she meets Alten at the door. She points to the door leading to 36b. “The smoke was irritating me beyond that.”
According to the map, the westernmost two doors on the north wall go into the same place. Either of them unlocked?
{aren't we in the hallway with 3 doors on the north wall, one on the south wall, and the locked door Rees couldn't open earlier on the west wall?}
Yes, room 39 - Dragon Haze. You're right about all the doors, but Rees tried to open the first door set in the northern wall that leads to the Trophy Room (37). That door is still locked as you both went around through the pantry to get back into this room.

It doesn't really matter. I thought we ultimately exited the trophy room thru the south door - just assumed we could unlock it from the inside

I do not like having an unexplored door to our backs, someone could flank us. Talien says as he fidgets with his dagger from hand to hand, then pulls out another.
Without looking directly at Alten Arxius replies, “Well we know there’s probably goblins behind the southern door... perhaps another guard room of sorts? Shall we take them out first?”
Arxius sighs, "Does anyone have something that could bar, or lock the door to prevent those goblins from coming out? If not we should probably go in and tie them up if they don't put up a fight."

"I have a rope, but that's really it. Nothing to bar the door. I suppose I could do the opposite of pick the lock and try to see if I can lock it? But if that doesn't work, we should be ready to fight. How is everyone doing?"

If they resist I will not hesitate to end them. It is us or them, and this is what I am built for. Talien will respond, seemingly a bit eager to fight again. (He has a bit of pent up frustration from not getting to touch OR fight the dragon, but you probably don't know him well enough for his minor mood swings on such trivial matters)
They move off to the side and speak quietly, Something is wrong. What is it? Friends don't lie to friends.
"I don't want to fight with Alten again. I think we did the right thing, he doesn't," she replies with a shrug. "Not that complicated."
Talien will move a bit closer and stare directly at her face (eyes if she makes eye contact) while his eyes glowing blue, keeping his voice down but still crystal clear. Rees, I am not talking about just that, you were acting odd with Chatra and I know you had answers you wanted, but it posed a danger so I ended its life. (Talien dealt the killing blow) I do not enjoy killing but I do enjoy fighting, make no mistake, I have no problem ending a life if it endangers mine or anyone that I consider Marokan. This realm is odd but it has had some valuable lessons so far, and one lesson I may add to you if you do not already know it is that a distracted warrior is a dead warrior. Now I will ask again Rees, what is bothering you?

Edit:
You move across the room quite as a door mouse on the hunt for cheese checking the doors and looking for traps.
Starting with the southern door at the far end of the room (west) and moving clockwise:

Meepo and Corkie join Arxius, Alten, and Grom in the Dragon Haze room. Meepo patters over to Arxius and asks, "What we do now friend?"
Excellent question Meepo.
Looking over at Rees and Arxis
What are we doing now?

OK. How are we doing this?
