The northern doors are both unlocked. You open the one opposite the door you just locked and find it leads to an unlit moldering hallway. The hall is quite, so you proceed forward with care. Along the way you brush up against the wall and find there are some kind of odd woody vines growing there. Your clothes come away covered in some sticky black substance that looks akin to blood. The vines seem to grow thicker the closer you get to the opposite end of the hallway. Moving slowly and keeping an eye out for traps you reach the opposite side unscathed.
At the end of the hallway there are two doors. One set in the southern wall that leads to area 40. And one set in the western wall that leads to area 41. The door leading to area 41 is surrounded by the thick woody vines.

The substance smells very metallic. It's like sap, but a bit runnier. It does not seem to have any magical properties.
Corkie shrugs, "Maybe the room to south is where all of the goblins live.. Perhaps that's why they posted guards around in other rooms. Best to avoid that. Shall we continue west as quickly and quietly as possible? I'm not sure we want to spend a lot of time this deep into goblin territory."
