"Well what a load of rubbish! THAT'S not how it went! Have you read this nonsense Rees? One hundred children... nonsense! Make my followers sound like rats they do! Don't believe everything you read in a book that's for sure!" You hear as the sound of a heavy book hits the stone floor behind the Traveler's right shoulder.
He dusts his hands off as if to get rid of the dirt put there by the book he just tossed behind his shoulder and sits down on a stone bench in the northwestern corner of the room that you did not see was there before.Come to think of it... you didn't see the Traveler standing there before.... Where did he come from? Oh who knows... And who's to question the Traveler?
"Rees... are you listening to me? Stop day dreaming... I'm short on time and I came to teach you a few new tricks to get you through the next part of your journey! You've earned them after all and well... I saw you lost a friend... So, I thought I'd cheer you up a bit!" He says with a smile.
"Right, so as I was saying... Some of my more roguish followers enhance their fine-honed skills of stealth and agility with magic, learning tricks of enchantment and illusion. These rogues include pickpockets and burglars, but also pranksters, mischief-makers, and a significant number of adventurers. Right now I can teach you three cantrips... these you can cast any time without getting tired... And I can teach you three spells like your wizard friend over there uses... but you these will make you tired if use them to much and you will have to rest for awhile to regain your energy."
"Okay, now watch how I cast the first spell and then mirror my movements... Ready?"
You watch as the Traveler snaps his fingers and says, "Thing!" and suddenly a spectral, floating hand appears on the ground a few feet in front of him. The hand runs across the floor using its fingers as legs and begins to scale you. When it reaches your chest it jumps into the air right in front of your face and then boops you right on the nose before landing and running back to the Traveler.
Talien will swipe up the daggers and club and clean them, once they are cleaned he will add them to his pack. He will then move over to Rees. He says to her not quietly but you seem to think he means this only for you, Rees, I do not understand why you do what you did in the past. This world makes little sense to me. I wanted to just let you know that I feel like I am changing. I am getting stronger but the way I think is changing too. He moves closer to her and reaches for her sword while watching her reaction to this.
Rees frowns slightly at Alten, studying his face. "I was shot by two arrows, but they were just glancing scrapes. I'll be alright."
Turning to Talien she sighs and shrugs. "I know you don't understand and I don't know how to make you understand. But hey, change can be a good thing."She'll hand him her sword.
Talien takes the sword and says to Rees, I am...pleased to hear that. He turns to Alten. Your weapon is dirty. He extends his hand for the glaive.
As his new companions begin to stir and prepare for whatever faces them next, Shake sings softly in Elfish
"Chan eil fios agam fhathast carson a bha mi a 'feitheamh. Agus bha an ùine agam runnin 'fiadhaich. Millean sràid crìochnachaidh marbh agus. Gach turas a bha mi a ’smaoineachadh gun deach a dhèanamh. Bha e coltach nach robh am blas cho milis. Mar sin thionndaidh mi fhìn gus aghaidh a thoirt orm. Ach cha d ’fhuair mi sealladh a-riamh. Mar a dh ’fheumas an fheadhainn eile am faker fhaicinn. Tha mi fada ro luath airson an deuchainn sin a ghabhail. Atharraichean... ch-ch-ch-ch Tionndaidh agus cuir aghaidh air an neònach. Atharraichean... ch-ch Na bi ag iarraidh a bhith na dhuine nas beairtiche. Atharraichean... ch-ch-ch-ch Tionndaidh agus cuir aghaidh air an neònach. Atharraichean... ch-ch. Feumaidh gonna a bhith na dhuine eadar-dhealaichte. Dh ’fhaodadh ùine atharrachadh orm. Ach chan urrainn dhomh ùine a lorg. Mmm, seadh. Bidh mi a ’coimhead gu bheil na ripples ag atharrachadh am meud. Ach na fàg an t-sruth a-riamh. De neo-sheasmhachd bhlàth. Agus mar sin bidh na làithean a ’seòladh tro mo shùilean. Ach fhathast tha na làithean a ’coimhead mar an ceudna. Agus a ’chlann sin air am bi thu a’ sgoltadh. Mar a bhios iad a ’feuchainn ris na saoghal aca atharrachadh. Tha dìonachd bho na co-chomhairlean agad. Tha iad gu math mothachail air na tha iad a ’dol troimhe."
Still don't know what I was waitin' for And my time was runnin' wild A million dead end streets and Every time I thought I'd got it made It seemed the taste was not so sweet So I turned myself to face me But I've never caught a glimpse How the others must see the faker I'm much too fast to take that test
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes Turn and face the strange Ch-ch-changes Don't want to be a richer man Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes Turn and face the strange Ch-ch-changes There's gonna have to be a different man Time may change me But I can't trace time
Mmm, yeah
I watch the ripples change their size But never leave the stream Of warm impermanence And so the days float through my eyes But still the days seem the same And these children that you spit on As they try to change their worlds Are immune to your consultations They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Talien will look at Shake as the song begins, and return to his work on the glaive after a line or 2. As the song continues he will attempt to hum along...but fail miserably.

Dwi ddim yn gyfarwydd â'r naill na'r llall ohonyn nhw. Beirdd Elven dwi'n tybio? Roedd y fenyw rydw i'n fwyaf tebygol o fod yn fam yn ddynol a dim ond rhan o gerddoriaeth ysbrydol oedd hi.
I'm not familiar with either of them. Elven bards I presume? The woman I most liken to a mother was human and she was only partial to spiritual music.
Talien sits down and cleans Rees's sword and follows it up with Altens glaive. Does Talien notice anything off about the glaive (flat 20 here).17
Talien will also begin collecting weapons from others to clean them around the room starting with Grom.
You take up the glaive to clean it and notice that while it is a bit dirty the blade is still very sharp and without any nicks or marks. It’s very well balanced... a beautiful weapon indeed >:D

Shake nods his head. "Do, o Oes Aur yr Unfed ar Ddeg Elven, y cyfeirir ato'n gyffredin fel oes cysgadrwydd. Yn eironig profodd yr oes, er ei bod yn cael ei llywodraethu gan feirdd, i fod yn gwbl anghofiadwy ac nid yw pobl mewn gwirionedd yn cyfeirio ato fel unrhyw beth. Roedd cerddoriaeth wych. a llawer llai o bobl. Ond nid oedd rhyfeloedd mawr i siarad amdanynt, dim gwrthdaro go iawn. " Shake sighs deeply. "Mae beirdd yn canu am bobl eraill yn gyson ond anaml y mae eu henwau'n cael eu hanfarwoli mewn cân. Dyma gân ysbrydol y gorach o'r un cyfnod gan fardd y mae ei enw wedi'i golli hefyd yr oesoedd." And with that Shake begins to sing a more spiritual song:
Codais fy mag, es i edrych am le i guddio Pan welais Carmen a'r Diafol yn cerdded 'ochr yn ochr Dywedais, hei, Carmen, dewch ymlaen gadewch i ni fynd i ganol y ddinas Meddai, "Rwy'n mynd, ond gall fy ffrind gadw o gwmpas" Tynnwch lwyth i ffwrdd, Fanny Cymerwch lwyth am ddim Tynnwch lwyth i ffwrdd, Fanny A (a) (a) ti'n unioni'r llwyth arna i (Rydych chi'n unioni'r llwyth arnaf) Ewch i lawr, Miss Moses, mae 'na' gallwch chi ddweud Dim ond ‘waitin Luc a Luke’ yw hi ar Ddydd y Farn Wel, Luke, fy ffrind, beth am Anna Lee ifanc Meddai, a oes ffafr imi, fab, oni wnewch chi aros a chadw cwmni Anna Lee? "Yes, from the Eleventh Elven Golden Age, commonly referred to as the age of drowsiness. Ironically the age, although goverened by bards, proved to be completely forgettable and people don't actually commonly refer to it as anything. There was great music and far fewer people. But there were no great wars to speak of, no real conflict." Shake sighs deeply. "Bards constantly sing of other people but rarely do their names become immortalized in song. Here is an Elven spiritual song from the same period by bards whose names have been lost to the ages. We know it was created by a group of artists because we can only find references to 'The Band.'" And with that Shake begins to sing a more spiritual song:
I picked up my bag, I went lookin' for a place to hide When I saw Carmen and the Devil walkin' side by side I said, hey, Carmen, come on let's go downtown She said, "I gotta go, but my friend can stick around"
Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me)
Go down, Miss Moses, there's nothin' you can say It's just ol' Luke and Luke's waitin' on the Judgment Day Well, Luke, my friend, what about young Anna Lee He said, do me a favor, son, won't you stay and keep Anna Lee company?
Take a load off, Fanny Take a load for free Take a load off, Fanny And (and) (and) you put the load right on me (You put the load right on me)
Talien finishes cleaning glaive and hands Rees back her weapon. He swings Alten's glaive around a few times as he walks over to return it and sets it down next to Alten. He interrupts the last few lines of the song as he walks over towards Grom and says to Shake. Shake, I am looking for a hammer, have you seen a hammer down here? It belongs to a dwarf like yourself and the goblins stole it. Talien will grab at your pack and attempt to search it. (Your reaction)
After this interaction Grom, Talien will come over and say nothing, just reach for your axe to clean it.

After you cast the spell the Traveler beams at you and says, "Excellent! You're a quick learner.. I am pleased!"
"I have to return to my work... Is there anything you need before I go Rees?"

Alten looks at Talien, looks at the Glaive
To Talien: Hmm, there still is some bugbear fur and blood on it. Thank you Talien.
Alten hands it over to Talien
Meepo's eyes betray a look of reverence as he stares at you wide eyed. From what you know of Meepo and his people they revere dragons... It's likely the coloration of your new eyes and perhaps a change in your scent which that is making Meepo act like this towards you.
Eldenser snorts,
"I have gifted you some of my power... what do you expect from the likes of Kobolds? Their worship is fanatical."

She chews on her lip for a moment, the spectral hand tapping its fingers on the ground. "Can you check in on Arxius? Just...make sure she's okay?"
Looking slightly hurt Meepo says, "Meepo here if Alten need help... if Alten need... anything..." as he slowly backs off almost bowing.

Though the children are shunned by all, the gift of the Traveler protects them still... - Chance, changeling priest....."
He dusts his hands off as if to get rid of the dirt put there by the book he just tossed behind his shoulder and sits down on a stone bench in the northwestern corner of the room that you did not see was there before. Come to think of it... you didn't see the Traveler standing there before....
"Boop!" the Traveler chuckles... "Now you try!"
Talien takes the sword and says to Rees, I am...pleased to hear that. He turns to Alten. Your weapon is dirty. He extends his hand for the glaive.

to Eldenser: Rel17 What’s up with Meepo?
Alten looks at Talien, looks at the Glaive
To Talien: Hmm, there still is some bugbear fur and blood on it. Thank you Talien.

Talien sits down and cleans Rees's sword and follows it up with Altens glaive. Does Talien notice anything off about the glaive (flat 20 here).2
Talien will also begin collecting weapons from others to clean them around the room starting with Grom.

As his new companions begin to stir and prepare for whatever faces them next, Shake sings softly in Elfish
"Chan eil fios agam fhathast carson a bha mi a 'feitheamh. Agus bha an ùine agam runnin 'fiadhaich. Millean sràid crìochnachaidh marbh agus. Gach turas a bha mi a ’smaoineachadh gun deach a dhèanamh. Bha e coltach nach robh am blas cho milis. Mar sin thionndaidh mi fhìn gus aghaidh a thoirt orm. Ach cha d ’fhuair mi sealladh a-riamh. Mar a dh ’fheumas an fheadhainn eile am faker fhaicinn. Tha mi fada ro luath airson an deuchainn sin a ghabhail. Atharraichean... ch-ch-ch-ch Tionndaidh agus cuir aghaidh air an neònach. Atharraichean... ch-ch Na bi ag iarraidh a bhith na dhuine nas beairtiche. Atharraichean... ch-ch-ch-ch Tionndaidh agus cuir aghaidh air an neònach. Atharraichean... ch-ch. Feumaidh gonna a bhith na dhuine eadar-dhealaichte. Dh ’fhaodadh ùine atharrachadh orm. Ach chan urrainn dhomh ùine a lorg. Mmm, seadh. Bidh mi a ’coimhead gu bheil na ripples ag atharrachadh am meud. Ach na fàg an t-sruth a-riamh. De neo-sheasmhachd bhlàth. Agus mar sin bidh na làithean a ’seòladh tro mo shùilean. Ach fhathast tha na làithean a ’coimhead mar an ceudna. Agus a ’chlann sin air am bi thu a’ sgoltadh. Mar a bhios iad a ’feuchainn ris na saoghal aca atharrachadh. Tha dìonachd bho na co-chomhairlean agad. Tha iad gu math mothachail air na tha iad a ’dol troimhe."
And my time was runnin' wild
A million dead end streets and
Every time I thought I'd got it made
It seemed the taste was not so sweet
So I turned myself to face me
But I've never caught a glimpse
How the others must see the faker
I'm much too fast to take that test
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
Don't want to be a richer man
Ch-ch-ch-ch-changes
Turn and face the strange
Ch-ch-changes
There's gonna have to be a different man
Time may change me
But I can't trace time
But never leave the stream
Of warm impermanence
And so the days float through my eyes
But still the days seem the same
And these children that you spit on
As they try to change their worlds
Are immune to your consultations
They're quite aware of what they're goin' through

Rees watched with wide eyes as the spectral hand scuttled across the ground toward her, booping her nose before returning to the Traveler. She glances around to see if anyone else notices him or the hand, then gets up and moves over toward the Traveler, leaving Talien to clean her sword. With her back to the group, she mimics his movements, snapping her fingers and murmuring, "Thing." She watches with a grin as a spectral hand appears much as it had for him. "Okay, that's cool."

Oh no. Legend has it that it was written by an ancient royal couple. The Queen of Mercury and the King of the Bow.

You take up the glaive to clean it and notice that while it is a bit dirty the blade is still very sharp and without any nicks or marks. It’s very well balanced... a beautiful weapon indeed >:D
Make a perception check please.
Shake nods his head. "Do, o Oes Aur yr Unfed ar Ddeg Elven, y cyfeirir ato'n gyffredin fel oes cysgadrwydd. Yn eironig profodd yr oes, er ei bod yn cael ei llywodraethu gan feirdd, i fod yn gwbl anghofiadwy ac nid yw pobl mewn gwirionedd yn cyfeirio ato fel unrhyw beth. Roedd cerddoriaeth wych. a llawer llai o bobl. Ond nid oedd rhyfeloedd mawr i siarad amdanynt, dim gwrthdaro go iawn. " Shake sighs deeply. "Mae beirdd yn canu am bobl eraill yn gyson ond anaml y mae eu henwau'n cael eu hanfarwoli mewn cân. Dyma gân ysbrydol y gorach o'r un cyfnod gan fardd y mae ei enw wedi'i golli hefyd yr oesoedd." And with that Shake begins to sing a more spiritual song:

When I saw Carmen and the Devil walkin' side by side
I said, hey, Carmen, come on let's go downtown
She said, "I gotta go, but my friend can stick around"

Talien finishes cleaning glaive and hands Rees back her weapon. He swings Alten's glaive around a few times as he walks over to return it and sets it down next to Alten. He interrupts the last few lines of the song as he walks over towards Grom and says to Shake. Shake, I am looking for a hammer, have you seen a hammer down here? It belongs to a dwarf like yourself and the goblins stole it. Talien will grab at your pack and attempt to search it. (Your reaction)
After this interaction Grom, Talien will come over and say nothing, just reach for your axe to clean it.

"Don't worry Rees... they can't see me unless I allow it." (From an on lookers perspective it looks like you're alone, perhaps talking to yourself though).
After you cast the spell the Traveler beams at you and says, "Excellent! You're a quick learner.. I am pleased!"
"I have to return to my work... Is there anything you need before I go Rees?"
