I'm somewhat worried about this, but if the group wants to go meet this kobold chief, then so be it. Lead on, Meepo. You are up front with Arxius and me.
Leans down to him
But know this. Be true and you will find friends here. Betray us, you will die by my hand and I will bring war down on everyone and everything you care about.

"Fiction is the lie through which we tell the truth." A Camus
Talien's eyes begin to glow red at the mention of betrayal and war. They return to blue quickly. He says nothing of the matter but he begins to keep a closer eye on the Kobold. (He has not been betrayed before but he knows what it means and how devastating it can be).
“Perhaps, Meepo, you could come with us. Help us with our quests and then we can help you with yours?” Arxius offers.
“Meepo come with. Find Calcryx along way maybe. Meepo bring friends to Yusdrayl first. Make friends. Yusdrayl answer questions about quest maybe. Yusdrayl very smart!”
Grom would slowly walk over to the convo going on with the "meepo" fellow and listening to the convo he would like to insight check him/her

Grom wouldnt share this info with the group right away
Your not really sure what signs to look for that a kobold is lying, or being disingenuous. However, Meepo seems to be cowed by the party and genuinely telling you the truth. You believe that he really wants Calcryx back if nothing else.

Leans down to him
But know this. Be true and you will find friends here. Betray us, you will die by my hand and I will bring war down on everyone and everything you care about.
Meepo recoils at this shuddering in fear. He starts to snivel again, but doesn’t cry. He half heartedly declares, “Meepo friend! Meepo no betray. Meepo need Calcryx back. Meepo want be Keeper again.”
With that Meepo straightens up and heads for the door in the western walk across from the fire ring. He opens it and motions for you all to follow. The door opens into a long dimly torchlit hallway. It is 10 feet wide and extends about 80 feet. Meepo walks about 15 feet forward, stops, and shouts something in a harsh language unfamiliar to you all. He does not receive a response, but nods his head in satisfaction and motions for you to follow him once more. He turns immediately left into another much shorter hallway (about 20ft), then immediately right into a hallway much longer and wider than the first. This hallway is roughly 100 feet long and 20 feet wide. It is better lit than any of the rooms you have previously entered. You can see a double row of relief-carved marble columns, worn carvings depicting entwined dragons, and scraps of tattered banners march the length of this once grand hall.
An elite squad of four kobolds patrol the hall, considering the duty an honor. The guards are paying particular attention to a door in the northern wall. Meepo pauses before them and lowering his head slightly says the unfamiliar word again. The guards nod and one of them growls in common, “Yusdrayl on dragon throne. Go slow.” Meepo nods again, straightens his shoulders then continues down the long decrepit hall. He shouts the unfamiliar word out twice more at doors along the way. A quick glance at the first door reveals that it is closed and locked with an iron bar from the outside. The second door looks like all the other unlocked doors you have come across thus far.
You are almost to the end of this short journey to see Yusdrayl and Meepo pauses. He turns to you and says, “Meet Yusdrayl now. Friends ready?”
DM Note: Before I move on to meeting Yusdrayl.. Do any of you do, or say anything along the way?

Ask him what that word means. Also, be wary. Kobolds worship chromatic dragons and are generally evil. I won't help propagate a dragon's evil.

If Meepo indicates he understands elven, then I don't say the 2nd part to Arxius and instead ask Meepo the question below. If there is elvish conversation between Arxius and I, then I'll ask the question below to Meepo after Arxius and I finish talking.
Meepo, I'm interested in various religions. Tell me, what does a Keeper do beside watching Calcryx? Do you have to feed it?

Meepo looks as you when you speak, cocks his head, then shrugs and continues on with his own business.
When you do ask him your question he replies with, “Keeper clean. Keeper catch rats. Keeper guard Calcryx. Yusdrayl answer friends other questions.”

You see the guards give you a wary look. But, they quickly turn back to the door they are focusing on. You also hear a muffled cry come from the door with a bar across it.

Arxius frowns slightly as she listens to the words. It's been a long time since she's spoken her mother tongue. She falters slightly on the word 'propagate' but the meaning is clear. "Mae'n brifo. Mae'n cael ei fwrw allan. Edrychwch sut mae'n ofni. Pa ddrwg y gallai ei ddwyn arnom ni?" she asks. The words a little stilted in places as she gets comfortable saying them again.
To Meepo she asks, "What is it you call out in the empty halls?"
Translation: He is hurt. He is cast out. Look how he fears. What evil could he bring upon us?
[Her speech is going to sound pretty basic a lot of the time.]

Meepo utters the word in the harsh language, then in common says, “Ticklecorn! Is password. Means friends. No attack. Safe passage.”
Meepo's words make her very aware they are surrounded. A very old familiar feeling settles in the pit of her stomach. She glances back towards Rees briefly, sharing a look with her. Be prepared, it says. She has acted on instincts seeing an outcast injured and scared. Now she realises she may have put them in more danger. She prays silently to Obad-Hai that she won't have to endure Alten's 'I told you so'.
"Shall we meet Yusdrayl then?" Arxius asked the rest of the group.
Let us move quickly, time will not wait for us, and coin is to be made. Talien states.
