Kruk reaches back and eases his Greatsword out of its sheathe somewhat so that he can draw it with ease before moving to let his hands rest on the hafts of the two hand axes that are worn on each of his hios. He looks like at any moment he will draw one of his weapons. "Smells like an orc cave.... Scratch that an orc cave smells better..."
A cloud of lavender-scented purple smoke trails out of the shop's door as you peer inside. Every wall is painted purple, and every dusty knickknack on the shelves is dyed a deep violet. The hairless old gnome sitting cross-legged on the counter wears plum-colored robes. His cheeks are decorated with nine purple face-painted eyes.
The gnome lowers a pipe and exhales a cloud of lavender smoke before raising a hand. "Hail and well met! Come browse the shelves of the most curious curiosity shop in the world!"
An Aracokra with Green feathers peppered with orange here and there, is quickly scanning the shelves . his green avian eyes darting backs and forth as he ruffles his feather5s from time to times, his wings tucked noticably uncomfo5rtabl3e as to not bump anything off of the shelves. *Deezk walks up an politley adresses the gnome, his voice bearing small clicks, tweets, ands whistles as he talks, "s-sir, *click* s-sir. you wouldnt happen to have any *tweet chirp* any tabacco or evemn perhaps some of that lavender you have there, hmm?" Deezk's head cocks to the side and back. "i- its been quite some time since ive seen a store such as this" his head quickly darts to face the grouip that just walked in, quickly mnaking eye contact with each of them for a split second, then back to the gnome "Or any shop for that matter"
The gnome answers the aracokra: "Novelty purple-tobacco-leaf cigars, 2 dragons each. Lavender bath bombs, 3 dragons. Or could I interest you in some fine lilac tea?" Then turning to the door, the gnome says to the party, "Well, come on in if you're going to come in. Take a look around. What brings a crowd like yours to the Dock Ward?"
To Deezk's question: "Ah, I see you really aren't from around here." He pulls out a few coins from a purple felt bag. "See the dragon on the back? These are dragons. I suppose you may not have the local currency, but I'd be willing to cut you a deal and give you credit for their worth in gold."
To Soar's question: "Hmm," the gnome thinks. "Maybe I did, but then maybe I didn't; either way they don't like snitches here in the Dock Ward." He looks around and then leans in with a conspiratorial whisper. "Perhaps I could remember what I saw if you have something interesting to offer." He smiles. "Something of an appropriate hue."
"Hmm," the gnome scrunches up his face, "not the color I was hoping for." He sighs. "Alright, alright, money is money. Here's what I know."
"Two handsome, well-dressed fellows of similar appearance and bearing got jumped outside the shop two nights ago by some rough looking men in black leather armor. I think there were maybe four or five attackers? I saw one had a black tattoo of a winged serpent on his neck. That's all I remember, I'm afraid; I couldn't stand to watch, but when the commotion stopped the assailants and the handsome gents were both gone."
"Alright, alright, I'll just come out and say it, they were Zhentarim gangsters. Surely you've heard of them? Well, maybe you haven't, you don't seem to be from around here." The gnome frets a bit. "Just please don't tell anybody it was Xoblob that told you who saw them, okay? Businesses that cross the Black Network don't tend to stay in business long."
"Ah, there you are children. I was wondering what was taking you so long to get to the Skewered Dragon, so I started walking back towards the Yawning Maw." Anivar said as he walked into the shop. "Might I have an introduction to our newest compatriots?"

Soar tries to think back to the aftermath of the skirmish they'd just seen, and if those detained were wearing black leather armor and had markings of any kind.
"This is a really nice shop you have here, we really appreciate your willingness to help us," Soar says. "I vow that I will not tell others that you helped us. Have they been a problem specifically for you? We saw the aftermath of some other fight a few blocks back, and the city watch was all over it. I wonder if it was related." (Persuasion 10)
